The Cowboys bandwagon is stuffed like a clown car right now. Lets be a nasty bump in the road for them.

It gets me so pumped to be able to play that role

The only way to say in football shape is to play and practice football. He might be in great shape, but he'll still need practice time. Camp wasn't even healthy enough to run hard so it's hard to believe he stayed in top shape the last 2 months. He posted a video on Twitter about 3 weeks ago saying he's finally healthy, so I don't think him taking a week or two to get up to speed is realistic. Remember the week he was signed was basically all walk throughs because of the short week. So he really didn't practice much. So today is was basically his first full practice back.

I think Camp will have to earn his way on the field. I highly doubt the Ravens have been game planing him into the offense over the past two months in anticipation of him coming back. And Asa can help this team in more areas than just the return game, so bringing him up before Camp isn't a surprise.

Oh Ofcourse he will definitely have to earn it- nothing in this league is just handed to you. And your right he probably needs a little more time to get up to speed. Do we agree that Hester's days are numbered  though? My view on  it is that ASA has been getting work in at returner during practice- he will get a shot and depending on how he does over the next 2 weeks camp either gets promoted or stays put. Hester will be cut for boyle- and then ASA ( if he doesn't hold onto the job ) will be demoted back to the PS for camp. This Sunday may be the last time we see Hester. Boyle becomes eligible right after Sunday. Meanwhile that gives campanaro another 2 weeks to get up to speed- so if ASA doesn't grab ahold of the job and run away with it we will see camp brought up for Miami or new england. I just think we could really use camp on offense as well to add another shifty chain mover. We will see what happens. As much as I'd like to see camp back there BC I trust his hands and decision making- im hoping that ASA has resolved his ball security issues bc that boy was electric when he got the ball in space. We need somebody like that who's a threat to take it to the house and actually get us some good feild position. I am absolutely tired of watching Hester let the ball bounce BC he's afraid to catch it giving us horrible feild position; seeing him muff the ball on routine fair catches; and calling for fair catches when there is nothing but green grass and no defenders within 10 yards. Catch that thing and run north and stop running sideways. Every 5 - 10 yards help, and could be the difference in tucker getting in range for an easy 3. Every yard and every point matters, and feild position is key. He has been a huge liability and is putting our Offense in tough positions week in and week out. Enough is enough- don't wait until its too late and he costs us a game by fumbling the ball on a key punt return late in the game when were either down by a score or up by  a few, give them the ball in prime feild position and lose us the game from a chip shot feild goal. Sorry for rambling but it's so obvious this guy is done- he's not doing us any good whatsoever.

I know I said I probably wasn't going to make a score prediction this week, but I just can't resist. As of right now, and this will most definitely change by gameday, I have it at a 17-10 Ravens victory. As I've said before, I expect this one to be a slugfest with whoever wins coming down to one big play. I think we'll stop Elliott to somewhere between 40-50 rushing yards with 1 TD, somewhere in the realm of 3 yds/carry, and Dak getting picked off twice (with no dropped ints for us this week, fingers crossed), one returned for a TD. Our offensive TD coming on a long pass to Wallace - I'm not sure if that'll be a long run after the catch or just a long throw, I suppose it doesn't particularly matter - since they'll be without Claiborne, so we should have at least one mismatch on the outside for most of the game.

I'll hate for it to be another one score game heart attack for all of us, and I would love nothing more than to beat the crap out of them with how unbearable their fans have been lately, but I just don't have any trust in our offense to come out firing on all cylinders having learned from last week's game. I hope this game Mornhinweg can prove his worth and make the adjustments that'll make this offense move though.

Cowboy fans are something like the steelers and patriots fans. Very cocky and arrogant and a bandwagon FULL of fake fans. Would love nothing more to shut Elliott and dez down and crush there little hearts.

Yeah, I checked their forum and many seem to think playing the #1 defense doesn't matter.  I can kinda get it but there's a reason the age old adage is that "defense wins championships"

All I've been hearing all week from them is "This is like the 4th time we've played the 'top defense,' how'd that work out the first 3 times!" I think we're easily the toughest D they've played this year, definitely the one that matches up the best with what their offense wants to do anyway.

Yeah I get why there heads are pumped up, but come on now. Our defense is playing lights out. The last time our D played anything like this was 2011 under pagano. There biggest threat to me is Elliot. As long as we dont allow him to get into open space and as long as we keep swarming to the ball I think we win this. I personally think jimmy should shadow Bryant and tavon take on Beasley. Jason written is a threat of his own but Mosley has been playing like a man possessed and between him orr and maybe weddle we can slow this offense. Just need to pray that our offense is ready to play.

Anyone know anything about Barry Church, Mo Claiborne, and Scandrick? Mo and Barry missed the Steelers game and Scandrick was in and out and didnt finish.

Any or all of them going to be out against us? If all 3 are out, thats a huge advantage for Steve, Mike and Breshad.

Btw.... i think this is the game. The one where Breshad just goes off. Not necessarily for 150 yds, but big catches... dominating his match up, and getting key receptions for 1st downs and 2 TDs.

Church is out another 3 weeks or so.  No clue on Claiborne.  Scandrick they feel will be okay.  Have to wait for the injury report to confirm though

Thanks... Pitt was getting behind them all night. Think we'll be able to take some shots on them.

Feeling better and better about the match ups as this week goes on.

Pass rush vs their OL. Thatll be the deciding factor imo. Our offense will keep pace as is. If our pass rush can get after Dak, bang him up and force some throws sooner than he'd like into tight spaces we'll get an INT or two, rattle him a bit, and win the game.

If he is protected and has all day to throw, no matter how good Jimmy and Tavon are, Dez and Cole will eventually get open and Dak is accurate when comfortable. To me its as simple as that. If the pass rush is ferocious and successful - we win. If they arent, itll be close but i think we'll lose.

The one armed bandit and Co better show.

That's awesome. Really awesome.

Maybe the non-committal response on Yanda was just mind games. Let's hope bc that line with Yanda in there, and only needing a LG, vs changing both guard spots is a HUGE difference. Plus, having the best guard in the league, in general, is always a good thing.

Not too worried about this one. Prob just another day off to let it rest since he'll be a key match up in this game. Let him take his time and get right.

I dont expect him to have to know too much game plan.

Follow Dez. Shut Dez down.

Thats it.

Well I'm worried.  This defense will change drastically if Jimmy isn't healthy of if he missed the game completely.  He's easily the most important defender imo

no doubt, my shutting 1 side of the field is the huge advantage for any defense....

I expect Jimmy will be ready; I'll bet he's resting his previously injured foot.....

Strength against strength!! Zeke is a monster but I don't think our D let's him go off too much. My guess is we load the box and make dak win with his arm. Teams have allowed them to be 2 dimensional all season. 19-17 Ravens.

Was gonna say the exact same thing! Perrimans gonna ball out and have several 25+ yard  catches. Also thinking this is the game the cowboys finally drop a stinker. They're coming off a hard fought battle with Pittsburgh and we're coming in off 10 days rest. Plus they're just due for a loss. We have not really seen what Dak can do once their run game is shut down and they become one dimensional. Cut the head off the snake (Zeke) and they will fall. Its been all rainbows and unicorns for him so far- expect him to have his first "welcome to the NFL" game where he really gets beat up and throws a couple crucial picks.

Wow, this is awesome news. Best news is Yanda- whom I didn't expect back that fast. Don't expect Doom to be ready sunday- but hopefully just in time for Cincinnati, a crucial divisional matchup. Would be interested to know if he was a full participant or just limited. ( I'm assuming the latter)

Glad shareece is back too- he may have lost his starting job but always good to have solid depth out there Incase somebody goes down.

Ofcourse all good news is followed by bad news. whatdoyaknow? That's the story of the ravens for the past 2 years. Luckily I don't think its anything serious and he has had an extra few days to heal up. Was he at practice yesterday though? Hopefully he didn't aggravate something further. Weve GOT to have him out there Sunday. If we shutdown zeke their only hope is Dez.

From an article on the Cowboys' website - http://www.dallascowboys.com/news/2016/11/15/big-picture-cowboys-looking-make-history-multiple-ways-vs-baltimore

Quote

The Cowboys still rank 12th in the NFL in total defense, even after allowing nearly 450 yards to the Steelers. The secondary has dealt with injuries all year and will again be without both safety Barry Church and cornerback Morris Claiborne. Veteran Orlando Scandrick missed the end of last week’s game with a head injury but is expected to return this week.

i think Jimmy will be ready to go, as you said: extended week to heal up, I think if missing practice today was b/c of injury - not just a vet taking a day off - then I think it's precautionary.

Anybody catch what Suggs said at the beginning of the presser? I vividly remember him saying " he's a [profanity] quarterback!. " what's that about?

The interesting matchup is ... the best run D vs the best run O.  Something's gotta give.  If we can stop Zeke, we'll have a good shot at winning this one.

Good to hear Doom is practicing, I think there's a good chance he plays Sunday, I'm less hopeful about Yanda - I'm sure he'd be more than willing to tough it out and play but if I were in charge I'd let his sit one more week, we can afford to drop this one and risking making his injury worse would screw us down the stretch.

I know people around here have soured on Doom as of late, but the last time Suggs and Doom were healthy at the same time they were the most prolific pass rushing duo in the entire league. Those two games he played earlier this year I don't think were emblematic of his level of play now, I think it was quite clear that he wasn't 100% those games, hence why he's been sitting out the past however many weeks. With our pass rushing woes, getting him back as a situational pass rusher would be absolutely huge.

Some people don't understand that we absolutely need Doom. Especially if he's 100% healthy. That would be a major boost to this team, I can't describe how amazing that would be for us if Doom came back to form for us. I think a lot of his struggles last season had to do with being the only pass rusher on the team as he didn't get much help at all. Clearly he didn't look like he lost a step at the start of last season, if he can at least play close to what he's capable of, then we're going to have a really good pass rush in Suggs-Doom-Judon. FWIW, I'm a Matt Judon fan and its awesome that he's getting PT right now.

At worst I think Doom would be a big help. It seems like there are a couple instances every game where the opposing QB has so much time it's just sickening, having a guy that we know will get free relatively quickly even if he's picked up by a blocker would be huge. It's pretty amazing that we currently have arguably the best defense in the league even though we haven't had a consistent pass rush at any point this season, just goes to show just how good this defense is that they can have such a glaring hole in a department that can't be overstated how important it is, yet still be the top unit in the league. i really should temper my expectations but the prospect of getting a top pass rusher back at 100% for the first time this year has me salivating for the possibilities of this defense, how high can they climb? I'd venture to say, if Doom is 100% then this defense can win us the division, and pair it with playoff Joe we can go deep into the playoffs. A truly dangerous team come playoff time.

That was also 2 years and about 5 injuries ago.  It'd be great to see 2014 Dumervil again, but it's incredibly hard to expect, especially this Sunday from a guy who hasn't even practiced in over a month that isn't even confirmed to be 100%

Can't wait for this game! Not only is their run game vs our run defense going to be interesting to watch but I'm also looking forward to seeing how we get our run game going and if we can take advantage of any issues they're having in the backfield.

Fingers crossed players like Yanda and Smith are able to play in this game.

I didn't say I expect him to be at 2014 form, all I said was he'd be a huge boost as a situational pass rusher. At very least he'd take pressure off our other rushers.
