Why not leave juice in for the pass more often. since Trestman went he hasn't had a look in on the pass game. He can catch and more importantly block for his qb

Agreed. If Pitta's there on 3rd down, he should be running a route. If you're keeping him in as a blocker, you have better options.

Though, in their difference, that's a Crockett Gillmore spot all day long, and he's out injured. His blocking skills have been highly missed.
