Why was everyone scared? Have you guys seen him play this year? He can't hit the ocean if he was throwing from a boat in open water. Plus he would probably throw off his back foot and fall overboard

I laughed.

I honestly knew it was the brace right off lol. When the commentators were overreacting I was laughing. You could tell when he was sliding it was the brace that caught him while sliding.

Fans tend to forget these aren't robots on the field.  They are human and do things outside of football like regular people.  I don't ever truly wish for them to get seriously injured.

I dont wish Flacco to get injured not do i think he is some souless 'robot' out there.  He has a family and sure he is a great guy off the field.

But that isnt what we are talking about here are we?

Im sure Dominque Foxworth was a great guy off the field, but it doesnt give him the luxury to say 'oh it was due to slew of issues other than him' Nope.

his is business and joe is out there to produce. He is just sloppy, erratic, inaccurate, and just a poor QB that is getting a ton of money right now.

I'm pretty sure Mallett would have gone for 250 yards and 2 TD's if given the chance .. oh well

At first, oh crap. Second, not this again (referring to 2015 season). Ryan Mallet? If the guy was as half as good as some fair weather fans say he is, he would be on another team doing something.

Like Tyrod??????

Jacket any starting Qb in the league should throw around 250 yards on average. It's not asking a lot.

OK, and?

Kind of ironic that you would post this in the same forum as you mentioned Tyrod, since, you know, Tyrod isn't averaging 200 yards.

Diffrent type of Qb, but you know that already.  With no receivers healthy. Still has 10tds passing with three picks. He is better than Joe.

So my reaction when he limped off the field was; next man up, those shoes aren't hard to fill.

Yes, different type of QB, although certainly not the "he uses his mobility" type of QB that everybody thinks he is (40 yards rushing a game). Playing better than Joe this season, but also not really elevating his team to a level where they are any better than they've been before he was here. And if you're not doing that, there's really no point, because no team is paying top dollar for guys who don't do this. Teams aren't paying top dollar for guys who throw a bunch of TDs or for a bunch of yardage... those shoes ain't hard to fill either.

Holler from Denver, Miami, Cleveland, Jets, Jacksonville, Texans, Redskins, 49ers, Rams, Vikings, and some borderline teams.  aren't hard to be filled..../scroll eyes.....

PS: not following football much?

The QBs from Denver, Cleveland, Texans, Redskins, and Vikings all have better passer ratings than Flacco this year, so I think he has a point

What???? Are you even serious?  He is a game changer. Did you watch the Seahawks game at all?

I said: he's better than Joe, not playing better than Joe at the moment.

Just better!

You literally just named a ton of QB's that are average at best and are still outplaying Joe. (kinda proving my point) I'll bet that every day one starter on that list has more Td's than Flacco.

The real question is, do you watch football at all?

The only  Qb from the teams you selected that may be (even) or (worse) is

Jets/Fitz = to many picks

Not willing to comment on Cleveland, they haven't won a game all year.  Both Qb's are playing on par or better than Joe though. Same with the 49ers. Other than that though????

He's right.

I find it hysterical.  Good luck telling me my sense of humor.

1) @DefensiveMind said years, which means plural referring to more than 1.  Taylor was asked to be a full time starter one time, couldnt play a full season.  Cool

2) since thats's best year, cosidering its his only year as a starter those are the stats we have to use. so lets look at those, Ill even do combined passing/rushing.  We are going to use Joe's 2014 season, because i want to since we are using Taylors best season.  Easy right?

Taylor - 14 Games with a completion percentage of 63%. 3600 total yards with 24Tds to 6 INTs with a whopping 380 attempts.  Thats an awesome TD/INT percentage, better than Joe has ever had.

Joe - 16 games with a completion percentage of 62%.  4000 total yards with 29Tds to 12INTs with a 555 attempts.  Not as good as a Taylor but clearly asked to do more.  Maybe thats why we went to the payoffs?

3) Taylor might be a good QB in the future, but he has asked to be the starter for one season, couldnt even finish.  He does look good here and there, and i hope he tears it up.  But ya know who else has also looked good at times and then asked to do it again and couldnt? Kaepernick, Foles, Bortles, McCown, etc.  Theres a difference when you do it for one season (not even a full one for Taylor) and then do it multipple seasons...year after year, playoff performances, etc.  Not saying Joe is elite, i never have, but ill take him any day over a qb who has never played a full season in their career and a contract at 90$ million.  Yep, still hysterical to me.

Because it doesn't translate into wins. That's kind of a big deal in the NFL. Not sure if you heard.

Yup, he really changed that week 1 game against the Ravens too.

You know what Tyrod was on that day? The 2nd best QB on the field.... and it wasn't close.

The cute thing about being a "game changer" is one week you are, and the next week you're not changing anything. In some weeks, he's changing it for the bad, not for the good.

I thought game changers were supposed to elevate the win column of a football team... or is that not important? If so, where's the elevated win column of the Buffalo Bills?

By what metrics exactly?

I mean I'm even using the box score stats you guys love, and I still don't see it...

2015 Flacco: 64.4% comp pct, 281 YPG, 1.7 TD/game, 1.4 INT/game

2015 Tyrod: 63.7% comp pct, 257 YPG, 1.7 TD/game, 0.5/INT game

So I mean I guess in terms of turnovers he was better, but Tyrod's also 25 yards a game worse. Over the course of a season, that's 400 yards less. And that's including rushing.

So when you say "the last few years", you really mean 2016.
