Sounds right but can't remember.  didn't that happen here with Boller?

I didn't think much of it at all, I didn't think he had actually injured his knee. After it happened and he sat up he looked more confused than in pain, I figured the brace had just broken.

Yeah and Eric Winston got panned for calling them out

Gut reaction was he hurt his knee badly. Once he started limping to the locker room, I was convinced we lost our QB. But, I hadn't realized it was the brace till the commentator mentioned it.

I mumbled some expletives but didn't really react one way or the other because I've just become numb to this team's drain-circling. I'm not even upset anymore when something goes wrong.

My section was pretty OMG!  As soon as we saw that ugly slide we knew something happened with the brace but had no idea whether he also hurt his knee again. When he ran back out we all stood and cheered. We're a loyal bunch.  :-)

Hahaha... sounds about right.  Mumbled some expletives, hoped it was the brace, then started thinking about the draft.

  • My 1st reaction - Did he just re-injure himself sliding?
  • Are you freakin' kidding me? (This time agitated)
  • Oh, he's cool, but wait a minute... (announcer says: 'Oh no this could be serious.')
  • Are you freakin' kidding me? He looks OK. (This time jokingly)
  • I saw the broken brace sticking-out and said - Are they going to call a TO? (announcer says: 'Oh no my goodness that could be a bone...')
  • Are you freakin' kidding me? (This time nervously)

Joe is hoping-off and Mallet is scrambling to find his helmet - I'm saying again - Are they going to call a TO? We're 1st down on a scoring drive!!! Lay-down Joe!!!

But no...Afterwards I'm listening to the announcers thinking...Are you freakin' kidding me? You dudes don't know jack. I put it on the mute.

Great question. I have to admit, I was hoping Joe would have missed the rest of the game because, let's face it, he totally sucked yesterday. Even before that play, I thought to myself that we have a much better chance at winning this game with Mallet. Something is going on upstairs with Joe. And it's not good. It is seriously time to grab a future QB in next years draft.

Flacco should have laid out on the field for the max allotted time to give Mallet some times to at least get a few throws in on the side line.

Talking about Mallet coming in really cold.  He basically only had time to find his helmet and run on the field.

As soon as he rolled over, I stood up and yelled at the TV

" That is NOT his bone that is the brace!!!! That is NOT his bone that is the brace !!!! "
( like yelling that would somehow alter reality )

I was right thankfully.
After that I was 90% sure the brace was the only issue.  Worst case he had a cut or something from a sharp edge.

A low point in Ravens fandom no doubt.
Apparently Boller sitting on the bench turned to a player next to him ( A big name guy, but I can not recall who ) and asked
"Are they REALLY cheering because I got hurt? "
Man, he didn't deserve that.  If that doesn't suck the life out of you as a player I don't know what does.

Yup.  No injury time out.  No team time out.  Play clock running and all.  It was pretty impressive to me.  Someone on here ridiculed me for saying this. *shrugs*  One second, you are thumbing through the playbook, crap chatting with team mates, trying to figure out where you are going for dinner after the game, the next second you are under center.

I don't care what anyone says.  I am impressed.

I’m always concerned when any NFL player is injured whether it be Flacco or the Steelers Heyward Bay however, I realize guys are going to get hurt.  This is the NFL. People get hurt all the time.  Injuries are going to happen. In football, you have to have the next guy ready. At first glanced seeing Flacco limped off the field was very petrifying for me.  Although, he is not by any means one of my favorite players and I still consider him to be a sub-par QB, however, I don’t want to see him injured.  I can disagree with others on his mechanics, performance and game without hating him as a person or wishing ill upon him.  It’s called maturity something this forum may need to consider.

My initial reaction was that was one the ugliest attempts at a slide that I've ever seen.

I've seen this a few times but I didn't think the slide was bad.  The brace just seemed to get stuck in the grass.

At first I just figured it was just his brace. Then they showed him on the sideline hopping on one foot and my heart sank because he gives us our best chance to win of the two QBs on the roster. Then I was relieved to see him out there.

He really should have stayed on the field and given us an injury timeout, however. Pretty dumb to just limp off the field and send in Mallett immediately when you could have gotten a free injury timeout.

Why was everyone scared? Have you guys seen him play this year? He can't hit the ocean if he was throwing from a boat in open water. Plus he would probably throw off his back foot and fall overboard

Because we have common sense about the QB situation.....

Down vote me all you want but answer these two questions and see if I am right

Has Flacco been missing receivers all year?

Has Flacco been throwing off his back foot, almost as if he is scared to plant and drive the football?

List of a FEW QBs who have been better than Flacco this year: based off QBR

Cody Kessler

Brian Hoyer

Kirk Cousins

Blaine Gabbert

Alex Smith

Trevor Simeon

Heaven forbid we go away from Flacco

You were scared for our teams chances because the 26th rated QB (QBR) in the league, who has more picks than tds, had to go out? Dang we have low expectations. Cody Kessler has been better for crying out loud.

1. Still have no idea why fans still keep referencing QBR as a statistic. You have no idea how its calculated, what it incorporates or doesn't incorporate, or what the metric even means... yet you attempt to pass it off as some sort of meaningful statistic?

Yeah, that doesn't work.

2. Some of those guys have been better THIS YEAR. The problem is that no reasonable person would want any of those QBs in the past or future over Flacco, for obvious reasons. And last I checked, this isn't the last year the Ravens will play football. There was football in the past, when Joe was a ton better than all of those guys, and there will be football in the future, where some of those guys will be out of the league long before him (and are younger).

This isn't a Daily Fantasy Football site where you can just swap out QBs off waivers on a weekly basis. These are FRANCHISES... they're actually trying to do things that involve just winning the next game.

Also Weedle deserves to atleast see the playoffs too...I wonder if Weedle is regretting picking Baltimore over Oakland now...

He should. Unless he's super in love with the city. But the Raiders are a really good team with a really good chance to make some noise,

My first thought was the brace was mangled and probably irritating his knee causing the limp. We've seen how he carried himself after the injury last year. Walkinh like it won't no thing and even finished the game. I wasn't worried. More pissed that he had to come out after a first down and stall the drive.
