Joe is playing scared, you see as soon as he feels the pressure he panics, he used to stand tall in the pocket...The knee is on his mind even though he won;t admit it.....

Flacco is not right. I tweeted many times during the game yesterday that Flacco is not right both mentally and physically. On the Aiken catch for a first down where he bobbled it, Joe called an audible at the line, the players switched formation and 3 guys to the right were still moving out to their spots when Joe snapped the ball (illegal shift penalty). He knew he wasn't going over there with the pass so he never even bothered to look. No rush on the play clock, still had 10 seconds on it. He didn't even care enough to look to his right to see if his players were set. Then the following play he inexcusably just chucks the ball up in the air, across his body, to the middle of the field where there was one Dennis Pitta and 4 defenders in the area. Joe either will not or can not focus on the things that are important and make good decisions for whatever reason.

The Ravens have a huge 120 million dollar problem. Out of 32 starting QB's, Flacco ranks in the bottom 4. You can't pay 120 million dollars to a player that plays like Joe is playing because you need that extra money for pieces around him to be successful. The FO has a very hard decision to make. Perhaps Joe will come around before the end of the year but I doubt it. Word is out on Flacco now. He can't operate under pressure and the knee injury just makes him that much more scared in the pocket. He just chucks the ball up in the air. Every team knows he is so slow in reaction time that even when blitzed he can't pick up the open guy and get the ball out, he just falls down. We can stick our heads in the sand and pretend these issues will go away and Joe will become a superstar somehow, or we can do something to fix it. Certainly next year there has to be a contract modification where a lot of his money is tied to incentives. Just like the play with Aiken, he is not paying attention, he is not focused and he is lackadaisical in his approach and that happened after the paycheck and after the injury. I would sit him down and ask him, does he want to play football, if so, then no more of this stupid stuff or Mallett is coming in.

As much as I hate to agree. I agree. He has been TERRIBLE. We'd be 0-7 if we didn't have the best D in the league right now. Hopefully it's confidence that he lost after the injury and it will slwoly come back. A lot does look like focus and preperation though. Hopefully this big win instilled confidence in everyone today. If Joe starts playing well, we are close to unbeatable. Random side note, I really hope Young permately just took Wright's spot. Wright is playing as bad as Flacco this year

You really have to wonder about Joe's focus now. He seems like he is not in the game and is just going through the motions every Sunday afternoon. I almost feel that he would rather be home with his family now instead of playing for his outrageous paycheck. Time to look at the QB crop in the upcoming draft. There are some good prospects out there this season.

best D in the league, hmm? The Steelers ran out of time or it was headed to another late game loss. I recall they have lost at least two games on the opponents last possession....Raiders and NYG. The defense may (?) have been in prevent but looked gassed again. Not one pressure on that last touchdown drive. The D line had nothing left. Good defenses can finish games. One kudo to the DL player (forgot who) that dragged Ben down by the jersey. How many times have we seen Ben get out of that and throw a TD....? Great play,

HAHAHAHA, they were gassed. Offense couldn't put a drive together in the fourth quarter to save their lives. 3 and outs will kill the defenses ability to actually rest and catch their breath or do you just want to ignore that. Our defense was on the field for 10 of the last 15 mins.

No, they were in the prevent, which Pees loves to employ late in games even though it more than occasionally burns us. I didn't see the defense looking "gassed", I just saw them utilizing Pee's weak prevent play calling.

Now that we are atop the division lets see what gives.
I can guarantee that Flacco will still continue to stink it up.
Now is the time to incorporate Mallett. Who is in?..........

The Steelers.  They would love the Ravens to collapse so they can win the division.  No better way to collapse than to bench your franchise QB when you are winning a division.  Mallett is a perennial backup for a reason.  I know Flacco hasn't played all that great, but he still gives us the best chance to win each and every week.

oh yeah.....
Dear Steve B, John, and Ozzie;

Please spread out a LARGE tip (whatever Joe gets per game) to both the defense and special teams (btw: Hester has to go) for yesterdays performance.

Thank you,

Yes- if it weren't for the River-dance miracle, I was sensing we were near toast.

The defense played well until the 4th quarter. When they switch the "Swiss Pees" defense of "prevent/bend but don't break", we effectively become soft and lose our killer instinct. I despise it. After 8 games, we know what type of team we have. We will go as far as the defense will carry us, shades of 2000.

After this year burn the playbook, fire every coach on the offense and start over and stop having 350 pound guy trying to run sideways all the time that's just stupid

FACT: Ravens rushing finished in 2013 30th, 2014 8th under Kubiak, 2015 finished 26th, and now 2016 their at 28th. What constant? "Juan Castillo, is in his fourth season with the Ravens and his third as the team’s offensive line coach. Castillo was promoted to coach the offensive line in 2014 after serving as the Ravens’ run game coordinator in 2013." See any connection?

No flacco didn't play a great  game but once again every single time the offense gets some rhythm going a damn penalty stalls out the drive. Had a nice drive going early on where he hit Aiken for a first down in the redzone and either a holding or illegal formation moved them back. Same thing on another drive when we were in  feild goal range. Joe  catches all the flack and he does need to play better but the drive stalling flags have got to stop. Help a brother out.

I've been saying all season Flacco needs benched. Been catching a lot of flack over it too until yesterday. Finally other people are seeing what I have been seeing. It's a shame because I was a staunch Joe fan ever since he came to us. I've made excuse after excuse for him. That has all ceased. He is the problem now, no mistaking it. He needs to sit at least one game and feel what it's like to be in that uncomfortable position. Then coaches need to remind him that if he doesn't start playing, that's going to be his new home!

Thank you...ive been the same with flacco but its became obvious since ray and ed left. Flacco doesn't check the D he just goes to the line then says hike...that's it. He doesn't scan the line he doesn't even try to trick the linebackers to mess with theyre heads or anything. He is horrible and only getting worse. I hate to say this but I was hoping mallet took his job but alas he came back.

NO FAITH IN FLACCO!! I cant stand it, every single year I hear the same thing. while I understand he doesn't play pretty, he gets it done when it matters. If we get in the dance watch out... he's got ice water in the veins #joecool

We won this game despite Joe and I'm sick of seeing that all the time now. (Although it helped that Pittsburgh was stinking up the place so much, they looked a lot like us, including big Ben throwing like Joe!). When Mallett came in, I was excited! I'm not saying Malett is the future or that I was glad that Joe may have been hurt. I would't wish that on any player but it would have been nice to see a lower salary QB expose Joe for his crappy play. If Mallet would have stayed in there for one series and marched us down the field, all hell would be breaking loose now. I bet Harbs was sweating bullets too, for just that reason and Joe got off the field and came back really fast too. That's the fastest I've seen him move in a couple years. I think Joe was thinking the same thing. Didn't want to give Ryan any chance to show him up.

I peeped that too. Makes you wonder how mallet is during practice.

That illegal formation was Flacco's fault. Re-watch the play and its evident that was on Flacco

Can't agree with you more. Especially when we are up 21 points and have been dominant the entire game, we should keep the pressure up, not loosen it like a rubber band.

We would be 0-7 if we didn't have the best D in the league and didn't have Justin Tucker, too. Flacco cannot carry this team. It is arguable if he can even direct this team. When he doesn't change plays at the line of scrimmage when he knows that the defense has lined up in a way not conducive for running the planned play, and he still runs it anyways, it leaves you wondering what he sees and what is going on inside his head.

So when Flacco drove down at the end of the game and threw a game winning TD pass to take the lead, you think it was him that let Crabtree score? When he did it against the Giants, you think it was Flacco that let Beckham score the TD. When he did it against the Skins, it was Flacco that didn't get 2 feet down or dropped the next pass. I guess you think it was Flacco that gave up 2 x 14 point leads in the 2014 play-off game against the Pats.

Mallet was so bad the Texans cut him in the middle of the season for T.J. Yates. Cut during THE MIDDLE OF THE SEASON, but yet that sounds like a quality starting QB to you.....

Ravens fans are no different. Your just not on their Web sites. I travel and end having to listen to other talk shows and have heard some crazy comments.

Not the defense! That has been a constant. If it was not for Kubiak Ravens would have had 4 bad years.

Flacco is complete garbage at this point. We would be better off if he had torn up his knee on his uncoordinated slide attempt. Continual 3 and outs. Cannot capitalize on defense and special teams giving them turnovers and field position. No offensive flow or ability to exploit any coverage because he is clueless and suddenly inaccurate. How we find ourselves in first place is beyond me, but if the offense cant produce 2 first downs in a row, they will not stay in contention for long. Essentially (again) the offense made 1 big play on the Wallace TD, then was abysmal for the other 59 minutes of the game. Had it not been for a blocked punt, Flacco would not have been bailed out of a loss.

I understand that fans get emotional and want their team to succeed. And I get that they get frustrated with poor play. But this vicious hatred for Flacco is really crossing the line. At the end of the day it is a football game for our entertainment. Wishing an injury on someone (including a player on the opposing team) speaks volumes of someone's character. It is really sad and pathetic.

I loved every second of the way the D dominated that team from Pa. We all would've loved a shutout but a W is a W(that sounds so cliché for this team this year). No one has been able to run on us all year that's why I was so surprised that Matt Forte had the game he had against us but Le'Veon felt out frustration. He did absolutely NOTHING!!! I love our special teams units. We got to have the best special teams coach. I been watching football ever since I came out the wound and I never seen one team block so many kicks the way we do. That's good for us because teams have to take time out their day and practice or simulate the things we do but it just seems like Coach comes up with different schemes each week. I'll give Stanley a pass but he must play better that's for sure. Our defensive skilled position guys need to hit the jugs machine and do pushups on the field for every dropped interception. We're not that good of a team to be dropping balls like that and giving teams more opportunities. Imagine what the score would've been if we caught those. As far as the running game, we didn't get much but at least we continued to run the ball and was more balanced. That's all we been asking for as fans. It eats up time and keeps the other teams offense off the field. That'll work in our favor as long as we get points out the drive..preferably touchdowns.
