Week 9: The Good, Bad and Ugly vent thread

Anyone notice the announcers getting almost giddy when the Steelers started scoring and playing better?  Bad and ugly for me.

The good Joe Flacco was not seriously injured and I hope Suggs didn't seriously re-injure his arm.

Defense needs a pass rusher badly.

 

But the rest of the defense is so good it's not even funny.

A comedy of errors. That is what we watched.

We're in first place, we'll most likely still be there after Thursday's game. After that - unless our OC and DC magically gain some talent and creativity - could get ugly from there.

Umm the offensive line was absolutely horrible today. So I'm not sure if this is sarcasm or you are being serious that this is the reason we have won our 4 games.

In typical Ravens vs Steelers fashion or Ravens vs anybody for that matter, it was ugly but it was a win. 

Some good signs were shown and a lot more to work on. But happy with the win.

The defense was exceptional today.  Tavon Young was phenomenal, and Webb was pretty damn great himself.  We still need a bit more consistency in the pass rush, but the secondary has been awesome.

Only thing that worries me is the lack of pressure. Some of the blitzes worked well, but it seemed like when we didn't blitz Ben had all day. Still, it's nice seeing them swarm to the ball like they did today.

lol that was even weirder than last years game against Pitt. Defense is legit even without some pieces. Offense needs to get it together. Delayed runs weren't working at all yet we still used them.

The defense itself just looks like a good unit. If we can get to playoffs we can make some noise

Thank the lord Haley didn't give the keys to the offense until the fourth quarter. As horrible as our offense looked, the Steelers looked X2 as worse the first three quarters. I have honestly never seen an offense look that bad in my entire life. 

Our offense is still a mess. We had one big play. Other than that, it was a joke. We aren't going to get far as a team. We will need offenses to completely lay an egg like today if we want to win many more games. Lucky for us, the AFC North may be won by an 8-8 team and there's a chance it can be us.

So give me this defense with two more talented young pass rushers and I'm good.

Well Pees rolled out the prevent in the 4th and it did what it does best - gave the opposing offense life. Our streak of one score games continues because of that. That defense literally says: "hey, have whatever you want deep middle, we won't fight you for it! :)"

And it's pretty ridiculous that we had three dropped interceptions and the one actual interception was by Jernigan. Mosley, Webb, and Weddle have worse hands than Jernigan this game.

As always, no pass rush. Judon got the only sack and it was a clutch one to give him credit but he can't do it himself.

Offense can't move, as always. Stanley's first game back was "less than stellar"

The good - run D was fantastic with Mosely and Suggs back. Secondary did well until we literally handed them 50 yard cushions.

Or because our D line held the best RB in the league to negative yards and our rookie CB helped limit a top 5 WR.

I think they will find their groove, Judon looks to be a gem.

We lack a stud edge rusher, but the rest of the front 7 is very good. We need a way to keep Williams and Jernigan, Guy too. CJ as well. Lots of good young talent on the defense.

 

We need to fix the damn oline though.

Offense still played liked doodoo.

Amount of Penalties are insane. This will cost us games if they keep playing undisciplined. 

Defense is really good could you imagine if we had a better pass rush.

So many dropped int today guys have butterfingers. 

Glad we won though!
