I am praying to God that 3QBs go, both RBs, and the top two Ts. Assuming Garrett goes 1, then there would only be 7 other prospects taken. Allen, Hooker, Lattimore, Adams, Foster, most likely Barnett, then it would get tricky.

Does M. Williams survive if Davis goes first? How about Barnett? Sidney Jones?

I think we will land a stud.

because you said this i went back and looked at a potential best case scenario - where 3 qbs and 2 rbs go but im not sure i can see the top 2 o linemen or even any o linemen going before our pick - if they do we will be golden because i dont think there is an olineman worth a top 20 pick in this draft - but doing this exercise i ended up with the choice at 16 being derek barnett mainly because i couldnt see the eagles passing on a wide receiver in the first

I think the only lineman that could go before the Ravens' pick is Cam Robinson, who could be a good pickup for the Colts.

Didn't realize he was now being rated that highly. Sure, he has some potential to go before we pick. I think with their GM the Colts are the most likely team to pick a lineman before us. I could see the Panthers building their o-line too.

Ya I want to say Panthers will go Fournette, but deep down they know they need a line and Robinson could sure help. Heck Indy could use any lineman at this point.

It actually wouldn't be a bad idea for the Panthers to double down on o-linemen with their first two picks. Get Robinson or Ramczyk in the first and someone like Elflein or Pocic with their second pick.

I think I just seen the worst mock draft ever on NFL.com. Zierlein had Taco going 6th and Barnett falling 28th to the Cowboys. He had is taking Takk McKinley. Do these people even do their jobs on research or do they just throw names into a hat?🤔

Remember that it's still technically January.  It might not look like it makes sense now, but keep in mind that these guys have a lot more intel that we do.  Not many people had guys like Conklin and Joseph going as high as they did at this time last year, and not many people had Spence going as late as he did either.

Taco reminds me of Suggs ala where he excels at both stooping the run and getting after the QB. Coverage skills may be lacking tho if asked to play 3-4 OLB.

There is more of an emphasis on the delusion that Barnett would fall to 28. Taco is good, but any scout could tell ya he might not be the best fit in a 3-4

Drafting based on the fit in a 4-3 or 3-4 is a very bad idea. We play maybe 5% of our snaps in that formation and still, our ED play as much with their hands in the dirt as they do in a 2point stance.

To illustrate your point, the Chargers were supposed to pass on Bosa because they were a 3-4 defense and Bosa was considered a 4-3 DE. But, they still selected him because they believed he was scheme versatile and he proved them right!

This has 0 to do with us as I stated the mock had him going 6th--to the Jets.

Ya certain players are scheme versatile, such as Bosa who was undeniably a top 5 talent, while many, actually I'd say a majority of players, are not.

What's true for us is ten times as true for the Jets in this case.

Is it delusion though?  How do you know?  Just because average fans might view him as a great talent doesn't mean teams do.  See: Spence, Noah.

Did Noah Spence set big school records? One of them being Reggie White's records ?

Does Barnett have drug issues or character concerns?

Scout the traits, not the box score.

That's just one example.  Just because fans think Barnett is a top prospect doesn't mean that teams think the same.  I like Barnett, but I won't call a January mock draft stupid because he's being picked late round 1.  It happens every single year where guys you don't think should be there, are actually there.

We will revisit this in April, I'll guarantee Taco doesn't go top 10 and Barnett does not slip past us lol

And maybe you end up right, but my point is that no one knows anything right now, so it's kind of pointless to chastise a draft from someone that has more intel than we do so strongly at this point.

if this happens then ill be pretty happy because i dont think cam robinson is a top 16 guy so that, add that to 2/3 qbs going and you could end up getting a top 10 guy on your board

I hated Spence as a prospect. Absolutely hated him.

Barnett would be an easy top 5 pick if he had better burst and pursuit.

Took some time and watched some videos and I agree about the lack of burst, seemed kind of slow but he sure is awesome in space with his direction changing ability. Can't remember seeing any Tenn games so I had to see what the hype was all about. Charles Harris is another one I'll check out later. I watch more Big10 than SEC.

Harris has excellent burst off the snap

Harris has fun tape. He's got the best first step in this class and he has excellent hand usage, he really bullies tackles in the pass rush and rushes the inside shoulder really well.

Poor balnce and flexibility though
