If we can get a good trade back in the second round I would be locked in on trading back for engram. I haven't seen a more perfect guy to fill that void i mentioned earlier. He is that reliable security blanket guy like pitta because he has a great feel for splits and soft spots in coverage, and he can make those box out catches like boldin, but the difference is he's bigger and far faster than both of those guy and brings more big play element

What kind of blocker is Engram ?

Could care less tbh.  you don't draft him to block. He's more of a slot mismatch type anyway. I don't see a NFL TE much with him which is fine because he fits the physical slot receiver mold beautifully and plays much more explosive and shifty than a TE

With how deep this tight end group is you think we can get him in the 3rd round? I wouldn't spend a second on him

Might as well update the big board. This is strictly ravens board. You won't see cook here cause I honestly think he's off our board with his domestic violence case (even though it was dropped) and the dog incident

1. Myles Garrett

2. Jonathan Allen

3. Jamal Adams

4. Reuben Foster

5. Malik Hooker

6. Marshon lattimore

7. Leonard Fournette

8. Mike Williams

9. Solomon Thomas

10. Quincy Wilson

11. Corey Davis

12. Derek Barnett

13. Jabrill Peppers

14. Cam Robinson

15. Charles Harris

16. Sidney jones

17. TD white

18. Marlon Humphrey

19. Malik McDowell

20. Cordrea tankersly

This was honestly from the top of my head but I like the way it came out.

He's actually a lot better of a blocker than you'd expect a small TE to be.

too much of a playmaker i think, he should test really well at the combine and the tweener label is all thats really holding him back. id be surprised if he falls to the 3rd but i wont rule it out, its just one of those things where some team is gonna think "how often do you find a reliable receiving threat with this much upside this late in the draft?" and pounce. i think hes just too valuable in the modern NFL for him to fall past all 32 teams twice.

Even with Orr retiring I don't think we approach the draft any differently. If we add the other pieces in at C, CB, and Edge, we should be ready to compete come next year. Next man up mentality here

Mike Williams  we need to go grab him

I think Mike Williams will be easily viewed as top 10 and perhaps could break the top 5. Trading up there to get him will take more than a king's ransom. Don't get me wrong, I'd LOVE to have him but I think the reality is he's just going to be one of those guys that we will covet in our dreams but won't have a real chance at being a reality.

Is this sarcasm? Lol

Yes - it is sarcasm ... hence the LOL.

I just feel like there are times when people will say they've looked at a player's "tape", when all they've done was look at their highlight reel ... which of course is laughable.

Personally, I look for other people to give me their opinions on prospects, because I'm not going to pretend to be a talent evaluator. I do not seek out anyone's tape, because I wouldn't be able to say one thing or another about it anyway.

You can always tell who watches tape and who doesn't. I myself don't have any special access to anything, I just use draftbreakdown and what I can find on YouTube, which I feel is plenty for just posting on draft forums. But the big thing is knowing what to look for in any bit of tape you watch, indicators and traits and what not.

I really hate what highlight channels have stooped to. There used to be some real solid highlights that gave a glimpse to what makes a player good, but now it's all special effects and horrible camera angles and 1 second clips of impact. I mean have you seen Harris highlights? It's unwatchable and it used to be a great channel

Ya Harris highlights is pretty awful. Just bombs production isnt bad, at least he doesnt use any music lol. When I look for highlight tapes i always type career highlights and click on the videos that are longer in portion. It wont show you their flaws but it'll give you a good idea of what their strengths are.

yeah its exactly what made me start watching film in the first place - if anything its helped me by forcing me to watch more tape lol

just bombs is basically the only one i use any more. everytime he posts a flood of new videos i check em all out to see if any players spark my interest. its always been my process to first watch a representative highlight video(one from game angles, showing full length plays) to see just what makes them worth watching, and then i watch the film and try to spot those great plays that dont show up on highlights because they arent the ones "making" the play.

i think it was just bombs that got me up on isaiah ford, i watched a solid highlight of him and was really impressed and then watched real film that just backed up all my impressions, the guy was still looking like a stud receiver and leaving db's in the dust even when he wasnt getting looks.

EDIT: just checked, it wasnt JBP, idk who that was but it was a solid highlights video. JBP was the one who put me on to evan engram

Ya that's pretty much what I do. Draftbreakdown helps out a lot but I also recorded several games on my tv. Just bombs got me up on adoree jackson when he was a freshman lol, I've always kinda wanted him since.

The only problem with draftbreakdown is it's only the broadcast camera angles - so watching downfield coverage is almost impossible

It's not always easy to find tape, but Twitter has been a great resource for me to get some of those all-22 type looks. It obviously doesn't exist for every player, but if you search by video, you can find some real gems.

What do you type into the search engine? I can't seem to find any

Search by name pretty much. That's how I found some good stuff on Lattimore. Should probably start saving URLs though since it's nearly impossible to find again.

I believe Johnathan Allen is the best player in the draft followed by Myles Garrett. Both Fournette and Cook belong in the top 10.

Exactly ... which is why I don't bother to look at any of it because I'm honest with myself in that I don't really know what to look for.

Every time I watched Tabor, I'd end up focusing on Quincy Wilson. Not sold on tabor at all and he has character concerns as well.

It's crazy how he's been the most hyped corner all year but literally 99% of the people who look past rankings and highlights will tell you he is quite possibly a disaster of a NFL cb

I think ILB just moved way up on our draft board. Where should we draft that position and who fits the bill?
