He does have good feet however. I think he would fit best in a tampa 2 or a cover 3 defense. He's better suited for zone coverage. He has the ability to play press but the issue is he panics once his back is to the qb.

The Ravens use quite a bit of both

So how about budda baker? Safety is not an immediate need, but the kid looks real special and could be available early to mid second.

I'm a huge budda baker fan. One of the most underrated prospects imo. Similar to Karl Joseph but I think he's way better

When I watched him he reminded me of Weddle, great cover guy but is also adept at moving up to the line and run defending. But word has it that he is a 4.3 guy, so he's quite a bit faster than Weddle

That is exactly what I though! A young Weddle! He is quick though.  If he blows up the combine I could see him sneaking into the back of the first. Obviously Hooker and Adams will go first, likely Peppers too, but he is next in line.

I'd  actually say I like him more. He covers ground quick and is a force near the line. He seems really instinctive as well, even in the Bama game he was making some nice plays and almost had a pick when covering Howard.

Hate to say it, but he'd probably be a good pick for the Steelers.

He's got a strong chance I'd say. I think Joseph is the most comparable guy and he was seen as a 2nd at this time last year, but he snuck into he teens, I think bakers combine explodes his stock, he's so bursty and fast and honestly powerful for his size, he'll probably test well everywhere

I sure hope not. They do have Mitchell and Davis. But baker seems like he will be much better than Davis

Just watched obi melifonwu vs usf. He's got the potential to be great. But man is he frustrating to watch, and it's just little thing he needs to work on. The potential is there

https://youtu.be/OZ5oZU436zM

I was very disappointed with his usf tape (only one I've watched so far). He takes horrible angles and is very suspect in jos tackles. Gets beaten over the top at times, placement is just bad. I didn't even see that much speed, which he is known for.

I just think he's raw. He showed speed on the tape. I see the closing speed he has. I just hate the angles he takes, he's in good position to make the play several time but he just gets away from technique to make the play. He can be so much better with good coaching

I'll have to watch more but if we're going S in the second, there are options that I love (namely Justin Evans and Budda Baker), but Melifonwu is just a guy unitl I see more.

His tape doesn't say much but his combine will

While we're talking about S, has anyone looked at Fish Smithson from Kentucky? Grew up in the area, and is still giving back to the community here. Seems to really have a good head on his shoulders and is a playmaker between the lines

That's an awesome name! That in itself is a reason why I'd be happy if we got him. Other from his name, I know nothing of him.

His name is actually Anthony Smithson, but Fish has been his nickname for as long as he can remember but refuses to tell the story. But all in all seems like a great kid off the field enough to warrant a look

Didn't see much, but didn't like what I saw.

I personally didn't like what I saw from him. I like to start studying players by watching highlights first and even his highlights didn't look good.

The best of his footage shows bad angles, failed assignments, weak pursuit. I just don't see any reason to take him personally.

Quincy Wilson...more and more. Nobody turns and find the ball better than Quincy Wilson. Not many guys in the NFL do it better.

The more tape I watch the better I like him. Big dude who can cover and I judged him prematurely

I've watched a few of the CB groups and I think Marshawn Lattimore is for sure the best CB of them all. I really do like Sidney Jones but I think he's going to have to bulk up, if he had strength he probably would be the #1 CB in this class. My problem with Lattimore and it's pretty much the reason why the Ravens won't pick him is that the injury concerns are very legit and the last thing this team needs is a talented CB who can't stay on the field. Marlon Humphrey makes a lot of sense here and would be an outside presence that we desire. I prefer him over Jones due to his size-strength traits that Jones sorely lacks.

What do you guys think about Nate Gerry a safety from Nebraska. I personally liked what Ive seen. Really lays the wood I know that lol. I'm personally only going by the games I've watched but I was looking thru some draft rankings at the safety position and I seen him ranked 14th and I was like yeah I remember this guy. Is he worthy of a low rd pick and has anybody looked at better allaround footage.

I'm thinking he'd be a good dime/spteams player and would contribute big league. :D

Wow finally someone else who like Humphrey on here. I thought I was the only one. The only issue I have with him is his ball tracking skills. When he's in man 15 or more yards down the field with his back to the an he seems to panic. Apparently those are things that won't ever go away. But he's great at cover 3, tampa 2 and press coverage which are pretty much our coverage schemes. I think he'd be a great fit here

Oh yea I forgot about you too lol. Point is that not many like him at 16. You told me the ravens like to use cover 3 and tampa 2 which he excels in I totally forgot lol.

Im beginning to turn on Teez Tabor believe it or not. I still think he has flaws but there's one aspect of his game I keep overlooking. His ball skills. Hes gotten a pick or pass defensed on 26.5 percent of throws in his direction, which is obsurd. The guy can force turnovers and that's something our corners seem to have trouble with.

His letter to the gators was nice as well and makes me question if he really has any character concerns. Maybe he's just super competitive. He honestly reminds me a lot of Marcus Peters coming out. He could have that same kind of impact on our defense with that aggressive mentality. We need more aggressive corners (young was aggressive all year and it played out well for him) who can make a play on the ball. Too many times this season have our corners been passive late in games which could be Dean pees fault but I think Tabor would keep his aggressive nature even in those coverages. Let him take a chance, it's better then letting teams pick us apart late in games

I don't dislike Humphrey, not too long ago I defended him as a possible pick I would not be surprised if we took at 16. He gets way more flak than he really deserved, he defended Mike Williams really well in the national championship, Williams just made a few circus catches with Humphrey in perfect position, not much you can do about that. He's certainly not my favorite CB but he's solidly in about 3rd for me - and if I'm being honest he isn't far from unseating Wilson, the more I've seen of Quincy Wilson the more I've started to sour on him a bit.

Wilson is very raw I've noticed. I love his potential though. He has the potential to be Richard Sherman. I think Humphrey and Tabor are the most confident corners in the class. I like corners who have a chip the size of a boulder on their shoulder. They both have this cocky attitude that nobody can beat them. I value that more at corner than any other position. As long as they interview well and seem matured (which I think Tabor has after reading his going away letter to UF) then i could see either being picked at 16.
