i believe elam will help improve the secondary if used properly and i also hope decosta takes over as lead gm in the draft room. oz has been an awesome raven but these past 8 drafts and poor free agent signings aside from a couple of players have not improved the team.

Just curious. How could he possibly improve the secondary?? He CANNOT cover. He has average or below average speed and bad instincts and reactions. So that eliminates FS or CB use. And the very worst part about his game is he's about the worst tackler I've ever seen. So it makes zero sense when people say, " He's a SS, we should've never used him as a FS. It messed him up..." He misses more tackles than anybody I've ever seen. That means he is NOT a box or SS. He can't play CB,FS, or SS. He's slow, can't cover, and can't tackle....How does he improve the team at all?

And sorry for the rant. Elam is just the most frustrating topic for me when it comes to the Ravens. Followed by giving Q away for nothing, then our Front Office blowing it for the past several years in almost every way possible. Can't imagine how sorry our franchise would've been without the signings or SSS and Weddle. I still have SO much faith in our boys this year. I'm just really wondering what is going on at the #2 corner spot, as well as FS. Webb, we tried you at FS. Didn't work dude. It's about time for him to retire. Wish we could trade him and a 5th for a 7th to unload his contract. If that would work. Losing Ngata and Ray immediately made our D and team waayyy softer ( not Raven like). Sizzle might be done after this year too. Wrapping this up by saying we better keep BWILL after this year. If not, we might at well be called the baby crows. Front office, bring in some nasty and Firery playmakes please!!!!

I swear, some of you people only come here to complain. It must be very sad to go through life being that miserable.

I, for one, choose to support this team and the decisions they've made over the last couple days. Obviously, they felt Will Davis was no longer productive to hold a spot on this team and signed Chris Lewis-Harris to replace him.

And just as obvious the team feels Elam is a better option than Robertson Daniel, who was waived for him to return. I'll take a player who has his back to the wall with something to prove that wants to take on the challenge. You know what they say about a cornered animal!

Raven fans are what they are. A great addition would be Norv Turner as OC.

i agree about norv. he should be hired as a consultant and if marty is not the guy by seasons end than make the switch. the ? is does norv even want to coach any longer.

Elam's speed alone should make him the better choice at safety over Webb. The way he played in the preseason before getting injured was very promising. And don't forget, we have Weddle back there as well now to provide veteran leadership. Something we didn't have when we drafted Elam.

100% agree. Webb gets caught on his heals too much. Now we all know Elam's past issues with tackling - but he has supposedly cleaned that up. I would love nothing more than for him to ball out and get a new contract that is very team friendly- then turn into the first round player we drafted him to be. Confidence is key- and he seems to have found his.

Lmao, now that's something I've never been called, if only you knew. If being self-righteous is showing no fear to call a spade a spade, then I guess I could be a little self-righteous. It's certainly better than being self-centered, as you would know.

So we are suppose to believe that Elam is all grown up and ready to show us the 1st rd pick that we drafted is not a bust? I dunno bro this is you're last chance because the clock is ticking.
