At least you didn't lose to the brits, they have been talking down on you guys since eddie jones has been coach. You don't get to play them til 2018 too

We get to wreck the Lions next year at least, and I'd imagine at least two Super Rugby franchises beat them too.

I was at the Twickenham sevens this year and we had some pretty loud English fans behind us who were getting pretty smug about us losing to the US in the quarter-finals, but it was pretty funny seeing them suddenly go AWOL when they lost to Scotland 20 minutes later.

I like england being good again for the competition and banter. But its so great to see them fail. I prefer the irish out of all northern teams.

Good player but he is a crybaby, I think he had a spat with the irish coach for not keeping him around longer. Steve hansen is a fun coach himself. Chieka is like a schoolyard jock who steals answers off the smart kids to get only C's on his tests.

Before you all get a warning, stay on topic lol. Anyway... is it possible the AFC West lands 3 teams in the AFC Playoffs?

Well the div leader will be 7-2, chiefs second at 6-2 and tonights loser at 6-3. Then we have the chargers at 4-5 and all loses by 8 or less points. A really good division this year. But oakland I could see going the furthest. Best offense and ok defense. Denver has great defense and bad offense. And Kansas has a bix of both. Chargers have terrible D and pretty great offense.

That whole sequence leading up to the Raiders TD was filled with questionable Pass Interference calls. If anything both of those penalties should have been holding on the defense, not PI. Once again though, refs just not letting the players play and trying to help determine the outcome of the game.

You know, I prefer to say a catch like that is actually a catch. Unless it actually falls out of your grasp then it should count.

Three things mankind will never know:

1. Where do we go when we die?

2. What is the meaning of life?

3. What is a catch?

Exactly, well according to section 2.51 if the ball is not precisely 1mm inside the players grasp or body it is deemed an uncatchable ball no flag no catch.

Very familiar phrase around these boards.

Whats better, losses like that, or getting smashed so you never had any chance and therefore no wasted optimism?

The latter. It's a lot easier to get over blow outs for the very reason you pointed out.

Agreed. Plus better chance of changes being made to the team week by week or the offseason.

Bingo. With close losses, I find myself analyzing everything in the game and it's always a couple of plays that starts off the shoulda, coulda, woulda, conversation.

Too many sleepless nights i've had with the closes losses in all sports I follow ugh. Blowouts I don't think twice about.

Melvin Gordon was magnificent today. Seeing him out there really makes me wonder what would have happened if he fell to us. There was a report that said that he won't get passed us but it sounded like smokescreen but I wonder if we really would've took him. At the time I would've been pissed but right now it looks like it would totally be worth it.

I think he was in the mix, but would have loved if we moved up for Peters and still landed Tavon.

I wonder how the NFL could legislate a catch as 42.

I do think he was a guy that we targeted. Obviously we wanted Peters here but Gordon is a wildcard to me because of how opposed people were to taking an RB. I brought up Gordon because its an interesting case. Peters is obviously picked at 26 but Gordon? Just interesting. It would have been well worth it.

I liked him coming out but was opposed to getting a RB in the first especially  with the holes we had to fill.  Thought last year was more a product of a bad OL than him not being a good back.
