[News] Mike Wallace Can't Bring Himself To Hate Steelers

19 posts in this topic

Now on the other side of the Ravens-Steelers rivalry, Baltimore wide receiver Mike Wallace says he can’t just flip a switch on his feelings for Pittsburgh. He even talked a little smack on how the Steelers were a better team than the Ravens back when he played for them.

"Can't bring himself to hate the Steelers..." That's every bodies line before the rivalry game. He will afterwards or at least have an overwhelming dislike if he plays like a Raven. I'll bet a soiled yellow towel on it.

GO Ravens!!!

That was a really stupid thing to say and do. If it's late in the fourth quarter and a winning touchdown pass bounces off his hands, the comments section will be filled with questions and accusations about his dedication to the team who is now signing his paycheck. Thank goodness Suggs intervened before he dug the hole any deeper, but mark it down. If the above scenario transpires the way I think it could, it will be ugly for Wallace in this section.

Hate is such a harsh word! Wallace is like any other player that will face their former team like when we face former Ravens that are all over the league shake hands wish them luck and play ball! PERIOD Squeeler fans that live here and visit say Wallace will choke later in the season so this remains to be seen! LETS GO!

"Burnell" has no choice. He's a Raven now and he'll feel the tingle of the rivalry come game time. I don't see how he can avoid it at M&T stadium. He's gotta bring it. Lets go Ravens!

IDK......Rod Woodson did OK for us while remaining loyal to the squealers.   I think Wallace will want to prove his worth to his old peeps.

If Flacco was fully recovered from his injury, then Wallace might have 600 receiving yards right now. Let's get him over 500 on Sunday, Joe.

Watch... once a couple of Pittsburgh players get in his ear with the smack talk, his blood might start to boil. We may see Wallace get mad like how Torrey Smith used to get when playing Pittsburgh: mild mannered like Clark Kent, but turns into a crazy dude after kickoff.

I think you're overreacting.

This dude needs a blood transfusion. Flush out whatever is left of the black and yellow sludge and replace it with 10 pints of high octane purple.

I also really don't care how he feels about the Squealers. He can take them all out for cocoa and group hugs afterwards, as long as he torches them during the game and we win that is. We need to win these next two.

Someone might wanna tell ol' Mike that the Ravens were 5-3 (including a 2011 sweep) against the Steelers from 2009-2012. And that the Ravens made the playoffs four years in a row, including back to back AFC North titles, in that span, while the Steelers only made the playoffs twice, and won the division once. And that the Ravens made two back-to-back AFC Championship games, and won a Super Bowl, while the Steelers made one SB, and lost it to Green Bay. And that the Ravens won at least one playoff game in each of those postseasons, and that they beat the Patriots on the road twice (almost three times) in that span.

So who was the better team from 2009-2012, Mike? Just saying.

Mike Wallace has to keep the pace with Brown,Heyward and Coates. I feel Sammy Coates and Darren Bey Heyward are key players for them today. Aikens has to step up for us and Dennis has to get scoring into his vision.
