People can do what they want.  Plenty of reasons why people could do cheer for both teams.  Maybe someone grew up with their family being redskin fans and moved to Baltimore.  I don't get how people do it either, but I don't have an issue with it.  You need to be a little more open minded in life.

And that's fine.  I was speaking about other peoples point of view, just because you don't understand something doesn't mean its wrong.  It is someone elses opinion, just like yours.

A lot of good that did .

Your boo's probably motivated the skins to play better .

You might be the very reason we lost.

If only the instant replay was in standard-res, maybe we'd have had a chance.

Unlike in DC where everyone was brainwashed into becoming an Orioles fan by former Redskin owner Edward Bennett Williams under his watch Baltimore area residents had too much civic pride to root for the Redskins.   There is one exception the most popular Washington team up there is the Capitals where 30 percent of attendance is from the Baltimore area.

I was a HUGE 'Skins fan when we didn't have a team.  With my engagement ring there were 2 pre-season 'Skins ticket and a regular season Eagles- Dallas lol  Back in the day yo didn't have to buy preseason tix if you were a Season ticket.  RFK was a cool place to watch a game, Fed-Ex blech.  IT took me until 1998 to get on the Ravens bandwagon.  When they announce the team was coming here I had a sick baby at home- 4 NICU days- and my Father in law was dieing of cancer.  Not time for football, when the team moved into PSI Net a friend took me and my hubby to 2 games, we left the stadium with a signed PSL agreement after the first game, we had to buy 3 PSLs because of location so my dad took that seat and mom babysat.  I think it was 15 yrs before I went to a prime time game lol  I have not rooted for the 'skins in 20 years. Now I have to beat my kids over the head for MY seats lol

My Family told me not to root for Washington teams when they're in D,C. We just don't do that.. How many of you heard of Loudy Loudenslager? He was Colts #1 fan. He said when the Colts left in 1947 Baltimoreans didnt go off and root for the Skins. They rooted for Maryland Terps until Baltimore gets another team. We all should follow Loudy's example.

The first Baltimore Bullets team in the 1940s played in the BAA which merged with the NBL to become the NBA, they folded in the early 50s.  The second Bullets team started in Chicago as the Packers, then the Zephyrs before Abe Pollin, Arnold Heft and Earl Foreman bought the team in 1963, to become the second version of the franchise.  Abe bought out his partners in 1968, and in the early 70s played some home games in College Park at Cole Field House where they drew better and moved the team to Landover in 1973.

There was an ABA team that was supposed to play at the Civic Center called the Baltimore Claws, because the nickname Hustlers had negative meaning in 1977, however they folded when they could post a financial bond, and the offices were padlocked.

Most kids have an AFC and NFC, I picked the 'Skins to annoy my dad and AFC teams the Colts.  My dad used to call me his daughter the son-- he was in the Navy when I was born and thought I was a boy for a week because the fleet was in  the middle  of  a hurricane lol-- and he had no issues taking me to Colt games or the World Series or Army-Navy game at the Vet.  I never knew until recently what JKC did to block us getting another team.  In 1993 I remember sitting in bed giving my now 24 yo his bottle when they announced JAX got the team we should have gotten crying ( hormones lol) I would never take him to a game.  BTW in 1947 my mom was in first grade , I may be a rarity but I learn who is on my team not the 'super fans' and will leave it at that.

You're going to hate me for telling this but not only Jack Kent Cooke blocked expansion, but so did Art Modell, because he was having financial troubles in Cleveland back then, and wanted the Baltimore market for himself.  John Moag head of the Maryland Stadium Authority went with him over, Al Davis, the Cardinals and the Bucs because he felt that organization offered the best chance of success for this town.

My dad was a Cabinet Secretary under Harry Hughes and Willy Don until 1991 and had some Bidwell and Al Davis Davis stories, he was out before the Glazers and Mr Modell and the expansion team.  The play at Memorial stadium and the 'new' stadium had theoretically been in the plans in the late 80's.  Dad retired from 30+ years of state/military service the year I got married.

I found out about JKC 5 years ago and knew about Modell.  My brother was a Bernie Kosar fan so he followed the Browns.

Honestly I follow the 'Skins with the second coming of one of my favorite Coaches, Joe Gibbs but it's nowhere near the same as I am for the Ravens.  My 6 yo is as rabid of a Ravens fan there is, instead of other teams he follows other players like Cam Newton, Markus Mariodus, the wr for the Giants that torched us and he already is telling me Elliot stats and then he quotes speed and I remind him it's not Madden lol
