It's possible to pull a suprirse win here. The Steelers defense is atrocious and even with a crappy offense we might be able to take advantage of it. If we're healthy on the oline I could see us winning.

But at this point I think we might get a draft pick in the 10-15 range. Playoffs are possible but this team needs to get it's crap together.

I thnk we should win this.  mallet beat them last so hed be my choice for today but its unlikely unless injury occurs.  if we can keep it low scoring we should win.  joe has to throw no more than 25 times today for us to win.  if he fades back more than 25 times we lose. watch and see. we cant try to outscore them we must win the war in the trench

good catch was chatting with @JoeyFlex5 about BK as well and had him on the brain. Statement remains tho, Boise didn't develop him as a pass rusher. They moved him around to play every position except safety and i think that was part of the appeal for the Ravens.  However as a pass rusher he was able to get away with just using his quick first step, strength and non stop motor. He needs more technique in the NFL.

Yes I agree with your statement that Boise didn't develop him as a pass rusher.  He clearly has amazing athleticism but is clearly "raw" as an NFL player

Ehhh I wouldn't say 25, but definitely lower than what he has been throwing. You do what you have to in order to win. And yea, we gotta win in the trenches.

I think it boils down to time of possession and scoring on drives. With an offense that is as explosive as the Steelers time of possession with just scoring 3 points every other drive isn't going to cut it. Our defense's work is going to be cut out for them and they must limit big plays and get pressure on Ben. Most importantly Flacco mustn't throw 50 times at 4.5 yards per throw, but instead defer to the running game to win the game for us. The coordinators have to create a lot of dink and dunk passes to great after the catch playmakers so we get 1st downs and Flacco shouldn't throw but an occasional and obviously open deep ball. If we do all of these things we'll definitely win this game. Otherwise, it's going to be a long day.

i'm ok with run, run, run punt. punting from trench warfare is fine it sets up the long throw downfield. if joe fades back much more than 25 times the odds go down. we must win on running, defense and the unexpected.

We'll start out 10 or 13-0 then who knows what will follow. Lol

That will be the most agonizing and exciting moment of the game. lol. We're up 10-0 yea, but here we go again lol

The only time I'm comfortable is when we're up by 3 or more scores. Which is ..yeah never.

Hope we crush Ben for rushing back, they can make excuses all they want. ESpN just talked about our game and it was all Steeler discussion per normal.

Suggs wouldn't want it any other way. As he says, "I own his ..."!

Our offense in the 2nd, 3rd, and beginning of the 4th quarter is gonna be key. It's Ravens-esque to start off hot/decent, disappear for 2.5 quarters, only to attempt to make a comeback and fall short.

*sighs*

Pound the ball, control the clock and have faith on our defense.

Please do not go 50 throws today.  Its not going to work!!!

fur sur, I go further 40 throws is no good, 30 throws is no good, joe must throw when the run is goin good to be effective his confidence goes through the roof in that case

Another thing I want to see happen is to put some ball onto Pitta @ endzone.   I think he was targetted once throughout this whole season @ endzone.

Pitta has the hand, see what happens!

to beat the steelers we must play raven football, raven football is not throwing 40 times a game. we got rid of tressman and morninwig is playin the same song and dance.  we must get  back to physical trench football and big defensive plays if our game is to outscore them by having an air bomb assault game its not gonna work for us

And waller. Use his size!!!!

I think Jensen being inactive could be a mistake, our line is back but they're still banged up. He may end up being needed. Let's hope not.

The recipe for a victory is Joe throwing 25-35 times. Anything more and we're in trouble. Love that Steve's back along with the line. I smell a big game from Wallace as both of those things will open it up for him.

Haven't heard much about Hester- assuming he will be the returner- but I have doubts he will be on Thursday. Unless he completely turns it around today- welcome back Michael Campanaro.

I think we brang in Asa Jackson?  He might take some role away from Hester.

Again with our mediocre offensive talent this game becomes easy to predict. They have major stars , Roethlisberger, Bell, Williams, Brown, Bey , Timmons and Shazier. We have Justin Tucker. We can't run the ball. They can run all over the field. They have a precision passing attack. Joe Flacco will throw up a dud with a multiple interception game to boot because he will constantly be on his horse.. We have a mish mash of underachievers. They have 3 future hall of famers. This game is over at halftime . Roethlisberger will start but he will not finish the game but it doesn't matter. Final 34-17 Steelers.

I think about once a day I'm just going to quote this and let this sit out there for everybody to see.

I won't even need to comment... just to let it sit.

Winner winner chicken dinner.

I mean, if you want to make other users actually see such a post.

Since it's cool to point out when you were right though, I predicted the W.  At least the first 3 quarters, this defense played with some urgency.  Needed this one badly.
