I'm not going to post what's wrong with everyone at every position at every level of the team. I'm just going to say yes we have somethings to work on. I'm going to drink the purple koolaid and believe we can make the corrections. RavensNations lets get behind this team and help them beat the hated Steelers. Watching the Jags on TNF show me things can be so much worst.

Go Ravens!! Go Front Office!!! Go Coaching staff!!! Go Fanbase!!!!

Let us all do our part to keep Bmore on the football map!

  1. I think they'll protect Joe pretty well because Stanley and Yanda will put everyone back to their regular positions. However it's the Steelers they'll find a way to get pressure. No matter the records, no matter how each team is performing, It's the Ravens vs Steelers so guys will step up.
  2. I think they both will play, but I think Suggs has a much more favorable shot at playing though. Honestly I can't see how Ben had surgery and a 4-6 week recovery time frame and he's back at practice in a week. I usually re-frame from the drama queen talk, but......
  3.  I think the Ravens will return to their winning ways because they play up and down to their opponents. If any team can get the best our of the Ravens it's the Steelers.
  4. The Ravens have won 4 out of 5 and the last 7 out of 10 vs the Steelers. I don't think there is a better matchup for the Ravens to having coming off this bye week and needing to get back in the win column. It's gonna be a tight game, but I think the Ravens actually show that killer instinct after their 2 1/2 hour meeting.

O line should be back, complete, hopefully Joe and WRs will have more time to develop plays. Important to run the ball well to open up suspect secondary.

Both Ben and Sizzle play, I think.

I think we come off the BYE and win, and start a nice winning streak. I think we'll be healthier and it will show against the Steelers. Or at least I hope so since I'll be coming to Baltimore for this game. On the bright side, the Ravens are 3-1 since 2012 at games I have been too, including the victory over the Chargers last season. Also the only Ravens-Steelers game I attended was in 2007, the last game of the year and we won that game.

On a serious note, I also question how Ben can have a 4-6 week injury and be back practicing in a week. Are the Steelers lying on their injury reports?

Most people here hate the steelers. I love them. I love playing them.

It is the best two games of the regular season .  With out fail (usually ) it is the smartest, well thought out, hardest hitting, aggressive game we play every year.

I hope Wallace has a career day.

Oh and you are kidding your self if you think Ben isn't playing .

Well technically they said Ben only had an MCL tear that just needed a trim. That was initially a 1-3 week injury reported. The only reason in went to a 4-6 week because they said he still had some stuff going on in his knee from a previous injury and that it would be a pain tolerance thing.

He will be 3 weeks removed from injury when we play. He will def. be out there playing against the Ravens if it's only a pain tolerance. I still can't believe he played the whole second half of the Dolphins game with the injury.

Also, the Steelers should be getting back a lot of their injured guys for this game. Ben, if he does play, Ladarius Green should be back, Wheaton, Rogers, Gilbert on their offense and then Heyward, he makes their D go, Shazier, missed time like always and played sparingly against the Pats. So they have just as many injury concerns.

It should be a good competitive game where hopefully both teams  have everyone healthy.

1. OL returns to full health and protects Joe well.

2. Steve Smith(Hopefully) returns and contributes

3. Mike Wallace has himself a game and Kamar Aiken takes back his #3 spot on the WR depth chart.

4. Defense rebounds

5. West and Dixon combine for over 120 Yards rushing.

6. We get our first double digit win of the year.

I'm hoping Harbaugh pulls some kind of trick play and it actually works for once--anything that results in more humiliation for the Steelers. Maybe a surprise onside kick.

I fully expect a volley of negs to come my way after advocating one of John's zany trick plays btw, so no worries

I actually really think we don't call enough of these. A lot of those special teams plays really played a role in 2013 during the playoffs that had us win. I mean how many coaches would call for the punter to take as much time off the clock and then take a safety in the super bowl? I think we kind of underuse this aspect of our team. But I can kind of see why this year because special teams has look horrendous but the previous years when we have been in the top 5 I wonder why we don't do more fakes.

Injury was a torn meniscus, not MCL tear:  http://www.upi.com/Sports_News/NFL/2016/10/17/Injury-update-Ben-Roethlisberger-undergoes-knee-surgery-will-miss-Week-7/3301476719484/

1) I think they protect Joe much bertter with Stanley back at LT, Lewis back playing LG, and Yanda back at RG...Not saying the Steelers won't get some hits on Joe because they always do--But, overall, I think the line will protect Joe and give him some time to make some big plays.  I see the Ravens making a couple big plays to Wallace and/or Perriman.

2) I am VERY confident Suggs plays because he has already practiced and said that he will play: http://www.espn.com/nfl/story/_/id/17884896/terrell-suggs-baltimore-ravens-practices-just-9-days-tearing-biceps

The question should be: How effective will Suggs be playing with a torn biceps?  That is ;yet to be seen.

3) My gut say Ben plays as well.  He seems hell-bent on coming back for this game and I think he will-even if he probably shouldn't.  Assuming he does play, my guess is that his mobility will be limited, so hopefully we can get some pressure and big (legal) hits on him!

This game is GUT-CHECK time for the Ravens--If they want to turn this season around, it starts right here with a big W over our biggest division rival!

GO RAVENS!!!

With the way how some people talk about this team, you would think we're as bad as them.

Everyone seems to pay attention to the Steelers, especially as a Ravens fan. So take note. That team flat out dominated every team they played at the start, than poof horrible embarrassing losses. Sound familiar? If we get the line healthy, and get rid of Webb at FS than we have a better team and shot than the majority of the league. We're still only a 9-7 team but the way it's looking that's gonna be better than the majority of the league. Just like every year. This is the NFL

I seriously do not think Webb is an issue. We have a top ranked defense, they are the least of our worries whether we get sacks or not. The real issue is how often they get on the field because of our offense

How many times have we played Ben past 5years?  Seems like every year he mysteriously dissapears due to 'injuries' vs Ravens.

Backup QBs seems to have a nagic touch against us.  Dont relent!  Its the steelers games...

If there's anything that can snap the losing momentum and turn the team around it's having a bye week and then playing the Steelers.

Yes sir. And giving them a nice schalacking will definitely do the trick. Nearly every game we play with them is decided by 3 or less- heck every team we play is decided by one score or less... But Im gonna go bold and say we finally get the monkey off our back and give them a nice Baltimore beating and win 34-17. That will really give us some momentum, esp considering we follow that with a primetime game in Baltimore against the browns. Win those 2 , along with getting sss, suggs, stanley and cj back and this teams whole mindset changes along with the narrative. Not sure if Ben plays or not, I could see him  toughing it out but I could also see them playing it safe being so early in the season and knowing the physicality of these matchups. Either way my prediction remains the same. Joe needs to catch fire the second half of this season, sparked by the running game. Go Ravens.

I'm confident in every game this year. Potential to win every game. The Ravens never quit playing. That's one thing I love about this team.

Early predictions are so much fun. According to the NFL the Steelers have the 8th easiest schedule in the league and are 4-3 currently.

http://www.nfl.com/videos/nfl-network-total-access/0ap3000000653340/Predicting-the-Steelers-2016-record

We're just a win away to sharing the division lead with a much harder schedule. GO Ravens!!!

Thanks for the fix. Got the pre-season Steelers prediction instead of the actual real-time record. The good thing that I really like about their early assessments is 'The Ravens beat the Steelers after their by-week....' thing. I'll take that Ravens win and nothing else afterwards for them.

These rivalry games are like my own personal holidays. Salivating. Can't wait.

Sure hope we can snap the losing streak. Ravens-Steelers games are classics 9 out of 10 times. Despite the disappointment lately, I'm always excited for these games.

Hopefully the O line gets some kind of form in this game. Returning starters should definitely help but Zuttah worries me. Wonder if they are making a change there?

It's not a far stretch that Ben plays as a meniscus tear and trim, depending upon the severity of the tear, can be a fairly quick heal. While playing for the Ravens, Q came back in two weeks from a meniscus. Regardless of what QB plays we need to generate consistent pressure to help cover weaknesses on the back end. Not sure how effective Siz will be with the biceps tear, but hey, it the steelers and he lives for these games.

CJs return will help the D a great deal all around. It's a shame Elam can't be active for this one as I think he will be an immediate upgrade.

Someone mentioned last week that there are no do or die games until a team is mathematically eliminated. I would say that this is about as close as you can get without meeting that criteria. Thinking we pretty much have to sweep this matchup again to have a shot at the tournament. It can be done.

We have a top ranked D that's slid in the rankings every week for the past 4. As for how often their on the field, 3 of the last 4 we've won the TOP of its been so close to be negligible. That's a cop out. Webb is currently ranked 27th in the league according to PFF. And contrary to belief we're getting the pressure, hits and sacks rating in the top 10. Just saying.
