So who was cut for this bust?

Do not need to put him on the active roster until 10th Nov. if you had bothered to read the article instead of rushing to spew venom...

Amen to that!

bringing back Elam proves that this franchise needs new leadership. He is not consistently good , just like the whole secondary, including Jimmy Smith. The team has been going down since the days of Reed and Lewis, these final games will tell the story. Harbaugh has to go.

Smith is one of the better CB's out there. If you don't believe me, look at his numbers, they don't lie. Not to mention that he was instrumental during our super bowl run. And you must not have read my post below, getting three 1st ballot hall of famers in such a short period of time is nearly miraculous. Not to mention that we had some pretty bad seasons when they were here anyways...but people seem to forget those years...

Webby's Escort Services, "we escort your wide receivers to the end zone"

Not funny.

That actually is very funny. I put it up there to the likes of a Jim Gaffigan or Brian Regan

good luck elam and we need you to to be the player we drafted you to be because webb has been bad thus far

Send Elam to New England, then see how he plays, COACHING, COACHING, COACHING. Then there's Hester, he's washed up, another front office blunder.

The majority of players that injure their knees come back slower than prior to the injury. One thing I have noticed with Webb more than anything is just how slow he is. He is slow to react, slow when running and slow in decision making. With Weddle back there who is also not the fleetest of foot, we really needed someone faster back there. The last two games, receivers have caught passes 10- 15 yards in front of Webb and he can't react or run fast enough to even slow them down so someone else can get them. Lets be realistic, which the front office and coaches have a problem being, Webb is done. After his multiple knee injuries he just is not fast enough to play in an NFL secondary. Would have been nice to have Jalen Ramsey back there because we got nothing out of our first and third round picks, which would have gotten us Ramsey. But knowing Harbaugh, who is to say, maybe he would be in the doghouse now and inactive the way our other first rounder is. Never have I seen a first round player practice at a position all week long without issue and then be inactive when the game comes around. For those that fail to acknowledge the facts, the fact is he was ready to go, was able to play, even said that we had to ask the coach why he wasn't playing and Harbaugh lied and said it was an injury. Hard to fathom how Jimmy Smith can practice in a red jersey and be active, but our first round pick wasn't protected all week but couldn't play. Harbaugh is up to his old tricks again. Seems like he is trying to lose and lose his job. Why would you do that?

"Would have been nice to have Jalen Ramsey back there because we got nothing out of our first and third round picks, which would have gotten us Ramsey. "

Just stop with the Ramsey comments already. Just stop.

Hate to say this, it's wait till next year already. Lets put the young players a chance, if they play, get rid of them.

Time to bench Flacco, he is useless. Give Mallett a chance, if he can't do it let him go. It's time for the Ravens to draft a quarterback for the future. It all boils down to coaching. Look what Kubiak did with Flacco two years ago. Flacco is too bull headed, put him in Denver, then see what he does.

Hester is a waste of a jersey I agree but they've asked too much from Elam too early and probably shattered his confidence. I mean expecting his slow butt to play CB? Jeesh

I guess he is glad. When you are as bad as Elam has been since he was drafted and still have a spot on a team, then that alone is reason to have a party. As far as giving him too much, he is a first round pick, and he covered the slot receiver the majority of the time he was at Florida. But even watching him at Florida, he was routinely beaten by the slot receiver so I think that putting him at corner was a blunder, not because they gave him too much, but because he was never successful in college doing it, what makes you think he can do it in the NFL.

I said when they signed Hester and cut Butler it was a huge mistake. I said at the time that Harbaugh and Rosburg, being Special Teams coaches, wanted to put on their resume they coached the "Great Devon Hester". That is the reason he was signed, certainly not because of any abilities he has shown since 2014. What should have been the dead give away on Hester was when we played Atlanta in 2014 and Brendon Trawick went down and tackled Hester on the opening kick return on the 9 yard line. I knew when Trawick was able to do that by himself to the great Devon Hester that Hesters time had come and gone. Two years after than and not playing in the NFL, we decide to sign him like he was jut out of college. SMH What is even more pathetic is to go back and listen to Rosburg and Harbaugh continue to defend him over and over and over when everyone but them seemed to know Hester needed to retire. But John Harbaugh knows everything when it comes to player personnel. Isn't he the one who cut all our good players and replaced them with dumpster refugees that no other team wanted and then acted like he thought he was going to win.

I expect Elam will have a backup role and I really don't expect to see him unless someone gets hurt. He will probably get some time on ST.

I hope he is healthy and ready to go but i think it is time to acknowledge that our issues at S are more systemic then bad luck Since Dean Pees has come to BMORE finding a good S has been tougher then finding a pot of gold at the end of the rainbow.

Ed Reed has his struggles under Pees and complained about it and everyone suggested that Ed was just getting too old... SMH

We had Pollard... the argument was that he just could cover the pass... but played well in Tennessee after he left

We had Ihedigbo.... and he couldnt cut it but played well in Detroit after he left.

We had Darian Stewart.... who looked like the worst S in the league while he was here... we ran him out and Stewart has been a big part of the Denver Defense who just won the super bowl and still looks great.

We had Will Hill who before he cam to BMORE he looked like one of the top S in the NFL.... he came here and while he showed flashes ... his time here was marked by utter inconsistency.

We had Huff who was a complete failure.

We drafted Elam in the first round ... who was supposed to be a cant miss draft pick... he looked okay as a rookie but regressed ever since.

We drafted T Brooks... who simply couldnt cut it here... but has since left and is spending time with the Eagles...

We had Branden Trawick... who looked horrible here and but is now with the Raiders and is contributing.

We traded for Kendrick Lewis who looked great in Houston before coming here and since coming here he has been horrible and probably played his last game with the Ravens.

We brought Eric Weddle in and he has played great for us but he is clearly a super talented player and the exception ( and i really wonder how much Leslie Frasier has impacted his success here).

Players play great before coming here. Get here and Suck.... Players suck here... leave and play well. We draft Safeties and they cant cut it (no matter if they are first rounders, 2 rounders or lower)...

We are having so much bad luck at that position and so many struggles and the misfortune of seeing players play the same position at a much higher level for other teams..... to the point that We had to acknowledge that this appears to be more systemic then bad luck.

It is time for Pees to begin to answer for the fact that Safeties cannot be successful in his system and why this has a lot to do with the fact that we cannot close a team out!
This is no longer bad luck and way beyond coincidence!

Elam is one guy I have seen that constantly falls over his own two feet. Even if he fixed that he going to be SLOW.
