[News] Joe Flacco Is Getting Hit Too Much

112 posts in this topic

hester is waste of roster spot, cut him and let dixon/webb/moore share snaps in the return game. since our OL is banged up, of course joe will get killed, heck he was getting tripped up by zuttah yesterday.

Yeah, Zuttah tripped him every single time he dropped back. SMH

Flacco is by far the greatest QB the Ravens have ever had. I didn't like the contract either but what was to be expected after he had possibly the greatest playoff run in nfl history. If you run through manning and Brady on the road and win the SB you are going to get paid. He always responds under pressure. AFC north still wide open. I bet many of you that hate him so much probably turned the tv off during that Broncos divisional game. You can call it luck or whatever you want -- Flacco went out there and won that game. Always remember ?

They can make all the Excuses they want I am not buying it. Not drinking the purple kool aid either. Joe has gotten (2) Offensive Coordinators fired and the problem still persists. Let's see if Mallete can do a better job when Joe starts sucking and throwing off his back foot sit him and let's someone else have a try.

Joe is 27-27 since signing his big contract. Elite he is NOT. Elite QB's don't need a tee shirt with their face on it to be elite. Why the uproar now? He has been sucking the last 4 years since the Super Bowl. The Offense has stalled all of those years and the problem is nothing new just worse this year. We are not going anywhere. The problem existed prior to Joe's injury so for me that is not an excuse.

Agree 100%. All these Flacco apologists. This guy was always bad. He was carried purely by a great play making defense from day 1 when he became a starter. He played great in the 2012 playoffs. That's the rare time that he was good.
Can the Oline be better? Surely Ozzie blew it once again. In the FO thinking, you can't have 2 great oline men because it would cost too much, so they signed Yanda and let KO walk but gave a below average QB a record deal. But they expect a great performance from the line. This FO is not what it's cracked up to be.

I think they pat each other on the back when they meet. Ugh!

Ravens nation -- be careful what you wish for. You want Andy dalton, Dan Marino - who do you want. All I know is that this guy is a beast in the playoffs.

Good thing He go the first one fired or we Wouldn't have won the Super bowl in 2012.

In hockey when the goalie sucks and is a sieve they pull em. Any other team would have pulled the QB but we are paying so much money it will have to be blatantly embarrassing for them to do it. Although he isn't far off. Crash and burn.

Roger that, Palm Bay.....Its time for a Raven Revolution. Lets all round up the stale, old purple kool-aid and go dump it in the inner harbor. We are tired of it. Picket signs ?......

Look around the league please QBs are dropping like flies so "AGAIN" what makes the Ravens so special that there QB needs "The wall of china" to be effective?! Joe needs to step up and stop letting people throw his O line under the bus! The Ravens will stick by Joe unlike how the Jets are doing Fitzpatrick in NY but Joe has got get it in gear move the pocket because the Jets have a good D Line and they stopped the run but Joe gave this game away! Sorry for being so hard on him but all these games came down to our QB getting it done and they were all winnable! The Ravens should be 6-1! Joe hasn't seen pressure yet so he better do something QUICK! Once again in sorry for being hard on Joe but the sun rises and sets on the QB just ask the pats and squeelers! I need a bye week myself LOL! PEACE

You have to get to the playoffs first. Have you really thought about where the organization would be if this guy showed up most Sundays to play. We would obviously make more playoffs, more home playoff games. Why do you think that the Patriots have been to the Super Bowl 6 times!!! since 2002? They win a lot in the regular season and play the AFC championship game at home a lot.
Why shouldn't we do everything to be that dominant organization. This organization think that they have their franchise QB that can help them become that dominant. But most Sundays he is just going through the motion.

This past Sunday was the best time to sit Joe, given his recent shoulder issue. With this week off it would have been a great time to rest Joe before Pittsburgh. With the Jets being a supposed bad team, why was Mallett not considered ? I believe that the brass is more concerned about a qb controversy than actually having a chance to win the game.

When he is benched I hope you find another team to root for.
Here's his stat since 2012 65 TDs 52 Ints; when you remove the so called 2014 season he has 38 TDs 40 Ints
In the meantime he has had 2 $120M + contracts

They also play in the worst division in the NFL and usually get 5 to 6 wins a year beating up on the Jets, Bills, and Dolphins.

No doubt Joe deserves some heat. Bottom line is that our horrible drafts over the last seven to eight years are finally catching up to us.

Yes I will agree that Flacco was the best quarterback the Ravens ever had but that's not really saying much. Trent Dilfer won a Super Bowl too. A lot of not so good QB's have won the Super Bowl. I just think he has been in Funk forever and we are still dealing with Offensive issues. Flacco is Not the best Quarterback that Baltimore has ever had though I will tell you that. Johnny U is my man!

I said Ravens. Please don't start with dilfer comparisons. I disagree. Dilfer couldn't have made those comebacks. Ray Lewis was in his prime and just to name a few other blue chip players -- Chris Mcallister, Jamie sharper, goose, Starks, Jamal Lewis in his prime, rod woodson and the list goes on. Dilfer didn't have to come from behind

Just give him the rest of the season. If he tanks the season he still gets another shot next year. If he tanks next year I will start whining too. Have a good night

Actually you have not provided any facts other than that Flacco scored 28 points in the 2014 AFC championship gave against the Patriots. The other fact you don't have is that he threw a costly int on the final minute of that game.
You and I who is going by facts or emotions?

Well Flacco hasn't been pulling off the come from behinds this year. It's his fault anyway because the Offense stalls every game this year. He is the general and personally I think he has been sucking. Don't get me wrong I like Flacco as a person but he is just not playing well. It's my opinion nothing more. We were supposed to have so many weapons? The best group of wide receivers he has ever had and can't utilize them.

Because Mallet sucks.....watch the Hard Knocks season - that's the guy you want as your QB? lol. There is a reason he's been dumped by 2 teams already.
