Are we talking legit competition, if so that will never happen. They just have to much pride to let go of a great mistake, that's why players stick around way to long here. We all want that true competition but you and I know that will never happen as long as Ozzie is in charge.

Joe used the term that his arm was 'extended out' when he landed . I would say that it is his Brachial Plexus that was injured.
I know this from experience and he should get an (EMG) Electromyography to see the extent of his injury.
I went through the same thing after a nasty fall. When all of the I's were dotted and the T's were crossed ? We finally found out what was wrong with me and why a misdiagnosis took place. That was almost 11 months after I had fallen and couldn't figure out why my arm strength had been zapped.
MRI's give a different picture while the EMG is all about electrical stimulus results.
Hopefully he can recover quickly and he'll have no permanent damage.
Sounds like he may have escaped a serious injury.

Hey, Flacco set you're feet and step into you're through's and learn how to read a defense 9 yrs. and you still don't get it. Ugh!

Most QB's in the NFL would have a tough time playing behind what well could be the worst O Line in the league.

Natural things you can't teach ! I'm going to start a Qb thread for the 2017 draft. Ravens need to find a guy NOW to replace sloppy joe.

Flacco is a back-up Qb at best.

Do you even watch Ravens football ? Joe has been under throwing players his entire career ! Torrey Smith had to slow down to catch his trash, which cost us touchdowns.Torrey is gone ,but Joe continues to make the same mistakes. His name is Sloppy Joe.

IMHO Flacco is a very mediocre/below average QB. I get it, the O-line sucks, but if that's the case then install some of those Patriots pass plays, the ones where the ball is thrown at 1.5-1.75 seconds after the snap. It is possible to have a sub-par o-line and still beat 1-5 teams in the NFL if you have a decent QB.

Joe is playing scared. On 3rd and 10 of the final drive he threw the ball into the ground on a phantom pass rusher cause he's spooked to take a hit or something. A 9 year vet needing to work on his mechanics to stop throwing off his back foot. What's that coach Harbaugh? It's time for a shake up. Play Mallet if for nothing else than to drive your own point home!!! You've said if a player don't execute he won't play. Well Flacco ain't executing whether due to injuries, pass rush, etc. SAVE your coaching job and bench Flacco!!! Go Ravens!

It's hard enough to play the position when you are fully healthy.

Especially for Far Below Average Joe!

Slinging Mud. I bet you would like Kyle Boller Back Huh?

This guy obviously doesn't watch the Browns, Rams, Bears, or Texans. Clue: tune in tonight and see if you want either of these guys over Joe.

You get behind that line and have 300 pound people pushingZuttah into you stepping on your feet, using Lewis and Urschel as turnstiles and try to get a pass off and keep all whole body intact.

We didn't pay Kyle Boller anything compared to Joe. We certainly don't need Joe's perfect impersonation of Kyle Boller with what we are paying him either. In fact we can go get a new quarterback that sucks too for a fraction of the cost.

Found this interesting article....

"So let's deal with the Flacco conversation by basing it in fact instead of opinion, shall we? A small piece of advice to those who simply bash Flacco or attempt to place the Ravens' ills on his shoulders: you're wasting your breath -- or your Twitter characters. Whatever. "

"The reality for the Ravens and their quarterback is that, outside of owner Steve Bisciotti, nobody in the organization's job is safer than Flacco's. Not head coach John Harbaugh, not general manager Ozzie Newsome. No one's job is safer than the quarterback's. Based on the new contract the team and player agreed to this offseason, the earliest the Ravens would even be able to discuss the possibility of moving on from Flacco is 2019."
Joe is not going anywhere! I for one, have seen what Flacco can do when he has a line that can protect him. I hope we can get that back. I want Joe to succeed, and for him to do that the LINE NEEDS TO PROTECT HIM!!!

I almost want anybody not named Joe Flacco. Get real he is ranked 28th. Not really a long fall to 32nd in the league. How much worse can you really get?

This is horse manure. More lame excuses for another poor performance. If he was hurt, he should not have been playing, period. We were playing a bad team and had an NFL caliber quarterback backing him up. Harbaugh is a moron. If Joe wouldn't take a day off on his own, Harbaugh should have been man enough to make him. Then when we were doing nothing the entire game, Harbaugh leaves him in to lose it. Just stupid.

......and now they have lost the last 4 and this was Flacco's worse performance this season IMO. The OL is not protecting him and it shows. I hate to think about the next one against Pittsburgh.

Right now, there isn't a single word that can come out of the castle to make me think that we have a chance at winning any more games.
I don't care if we have the entire team back from injuries either. This team is poorly coached. Games are poorly scripted. There is no quality in-game management. The list goes on and on. All I keep hearing are excuses.
