As an avid golfer, yesterday during the 1st half I took a very hard look at how I spend my Sunday afternoons. At halftime I went to the golf course and enjoyed myself. This was never a consideration or even a thought before. I've concluded, weather permitting, I'll be enjoying Sunday afternoon walks on the golf course and, win or lose, will watch the games on DVR later. Go Ravens!!!

Well this is where the rubber neets the road.
All the cliches you can think of..but you get the point. They gotta run off 3-4 in a row and on paper it sets up plausible with Steelers,Browns as first 2.

Now I know nobody believes in the organization right now after 4 straight losses.
But good news is they will be getting virtually everyone back,Sizzle,Mosley,Yanda,Sr,Dum,Stanley( who has sat out 2 months now) and should a played last 2 weeks aftr practicing

So they either make their run or season falls off the cliff

Actually, Bozo did make that statement.

In all seriousness, his overall statement was perfect up until the JJ part.

Some of the players don't play like a Raven, no heart...need someone to light a fire into them, Yanda and Stanley returning to the line has to do wonders for this offensive line. Flacco needs to spend this time off to get completely healthy and work on his accuracy because he has been off target, and those INT's he threw were terrible. Not sure what he was looking at, threw the ball directly to the guy first one and overthrew in double coverage on the 2nd one

It's time to rebuild this entire roster. Time to move on Harbaugh and especially time to move on from Flacco.

I actually believe that is what they are doing right now...  We are a very young team.  We've been rebuilding since Lewis and Reed left.  Rebuilding takes a number of years.  It's not an immediate process.

it is the stupid little self inflicting things that players must hold each other accountable for, which if they haven't done that so far is beyond me,but really as hard as it is fans have to stick behind the team,we know by facts alone that the RAVENS our a great organization and perenial playoff contenders that don't stay down long,as long as we know their looking at everything from within and trying to be better, then i guess as fans we need to stand behind them, calling for massive change will not solve anything.as bad as things seem there are other organizations worse off then us.but at the least we as fans and them as an organization need to continue to hold each other accountable but in a positive way.they say you gain more in loses than you do wins looking within yourself.

"Play Like A Raven", what does that even mean anymore?

Guts, Attitude, Heart. Example Anquan Boldin. 32 receptions and 4 TD's btw.

Problem is that the majority of our younger players are roster fillers NOT impact players.

Dennis Pitta "We're not in a good place, We just lost four straight" hmmm, do you think losing 3 straight is a good place to be?

Dennis Pitta "We'll have a good hard look at ourselves this week," ok, who else do you expect us to look at? Already fired Trestman 2 weeks ago and nothing changed, in fact it actually got worse.

Mike Wallace "We need that leadership," Mike you are a veteran receiver, STEP UP and become a leader in that receiving squad!!!

Lardarius Webb "There's no finger pointing" Well maybe inside the locker room there should, start pointing fingers and holding your teammates accountable!! I don't care for it to be publicized but inside that locker room you guys need to get in somebody's face for these stupid mistakes that are plaguing this team. Then do me a favor and look at yourself in the mirror cause you are a weak link in the safety position.

Harbaugh has rid this team of on the field leaders to show everyone this is his team. The Ravens have an overall losing record since #52 and #20 retired. This ship needs to be righted immediately or we can expect to start experiencing a Browns-like season for the next couple of years...

Yes, I remember Dilfer Fondly. He played with one of the Best Defenses of all time, and 2 Hall of Famers on Offense ( JO and Shannon Sharpe) and a Pro Bowl running back, Jamal Lewis. He only had to throw the ball 15 to 20 times. We had 6 yards running yesterday, the defense gave up Big plays, Trent Dilfer would not of done anything better the Flacco, He probably would of had 4 interceptions.

I would tend to disagree with you on that one, but that's just my opinion.  I look at how many guys are on this team that were on it in February of 2013.  I think maybe 5 that I can think of off the top of my head.  (Flacco, Yanda, Smith, Webb, Suggs...  )  I think we have picked up quite a few IMPACT players.  But folks look at the drafts and because we have 9 picks, are gonna get 9 perfect players.  People want us to draft players and win.  Period.  They don't allow for developmental times.  You look at guys we have picked up.  Think of how many rookies have been on the field this year alone.  Let alone other years.  And it's like I said earlier in another thread.  The CBA really handcuffed development.  We are not the ONLY team facing the issues that we are.  They are limited to the number of padded practices.  They are limited to player contact during the offseason, and the players cannot train with the coaches or teams until the Minicamps or OTA's.  There is no time for them to make the transition from college to the NFL, and then we all expect them to play like Pro Bowlers.  Under these new rules???  It takes anywhere from 1 to 3 years.

And I'm a little weary of hearing that Flacco's contract has handicapped this team.  MANY other teams have QB's with large contracts too.  That has nothing to do with ability or determination, or concentration, or "Playing like a Raven" as by your own definition.

Never thought I'd say this but, "Bozo" might be onto something here. If you're going to pay your QB "max contract" money then he'd better be good enough to overcome a mediocre to poor O-line if you end up with one (not that you seek it). Flacco is no Big Ben, he's good not great so you had to know that paying him meant one of two things: you'd have to hit it big in every draft thereafter or you'd have to find a way to pay him less money so you could fortify the roster around him-- the team did neither. I'll take an average QB, a good stable of running backs, with a monster O-line over a great QB with a sieve for an O-line with the same running backs.

Bottom line is this the Ravens have struggled since Week 1. Easily could be
0 - 7. Harbs & Flacco rode the curtails of Ray Lewis , Ed Reed , younger Suggs & a younger Yanda. The team is bad that is fact since the super bowl. I'm done til the team puts a better product on the field.

How did Harbaugh "rid" the team of its leaders? Did he make Lewis and Reed retire? Did he Hurts Suggs arm or SSS's ankle? Just about every one we draft was a captain of their team or a leader on their team in college. We have MANY leaders on our team.

Lets not make things more complicated then it needs to be. Lets be very simple. Poor Basic Skills and Lack of Execution. Either we have the talent on the field or we don't. More coaching is needed. Better coaching is needed. And if Joe was as hurt as he says he was, then he needs to sit. Not that I want a 2nd stringer QB in there, but those throws were horrible. When you loose. You can blame it on every position on the field. We have the Steelers in 2 weeks. We better not go on vacation and start drinking beer while we have them coming into town.

Ryan Meallett could throw 2 ints as well ,but he timing is better than Joe.
