if ______ is available at this pick, do you take him?

after a super ugly loss to the jets, ive given up hope. the best we can hope for this year is 8-8 and i even think thats a major stretch given our 2nd half schedule. so we very well could be picking top 10 again, so this brings me to this question...

if TIM WILLIAMS is available at our 2nd pick, should we take him? are we scared to try this again and spend a 2nd on a very undersized and raw edge rusher 2 years straight? what about demarcus walker? would he be prioritized over williams since he is a 3 down defender who has no concerns about size or technique? if, say, quenton nelson or pat elflein are there with williams and walker, which way would we go?

tim williams looks like such a wild card to me. at this point i really hope we manage to land jonathan allen in the first, hes just such an awesome and versatile and NFL ready player, and at this rate we may be in range, and pairing him with an elite edge rusher would be awesome, but who could possibly be that elite edge rusher?

I don't see Williams falling to 2nd but wouldn't hesitate much if he's there. Comparing him to Correa is pretty unfair - he's bigger, faster and properly coached OLB.

I'll again mention Ryan Anderson as a good get in 2nd round. Nasty player.

why was i thinking tim williams was 235... i have no idea why i was thinking that lol.

so yeah williams blows him out of the water. based on that alone i change my mind about him possibly being there in the 2nd, not a chance. for some reason i was thinking he weighed in the 230s and with the gun arrest i thought he would tumble, but being in the 250s and having his explosiveness and coaching he wont be falling that far from one arrest.

To be fair, he does look like he hit the gym seriously in the spring.

its possible i read a scouting report from last year or something, because i swear i very recently saw 230 something for him lol.

all this time i was underrating him because i thought he was incredibly undersized, i wondered how he was playing with so much power at 230... now i suddenly want him really really bad lol.

Like a lot of good players, Ryan Anderson has a domestic violence background so pretty unlikely he becomes a Raven.

I think it was called "domestic violence" just because there's no better description in the law:

Just two mad kids throwing a fit.

Hmm interesting, that's obviously a lot better but not sure how exactly they'd view that. I do like a him as a prospect quite a bit though.

After Tim William's gun charge I doubt we go for him.

Yeah... being in a publix parking lot at 2AM with pot and a pistol isn't good face.

Dont you think its time we stop caring about that. These are all football players theyre not meant to be smart. The old ravens were known for being thugs. Im starting to think this orginazation is caring way too much about character rather than just seeing if the kid can play.....all the ballers out in the nfl right now arent your smartest bunch

I don't think players should be completely removed from boards solely over arrests, but I definitely think that character matters a lot. He's going to get grilled by teams over it and who knows what his answers are going to be. It's easy to look back on guys who had character concerns and moved past them (Mathieu, La'el Collins, etc.) but we can't overlook guys who never did overcome those concerns (Justin Blackmon, Josh Gordon, Aldon Smith). I'm not trying to equate any of the player's actions to each others, but if you're spending a high draft pick on a guy, you don't want him to be at risk of suspension every season.

It would be inexcusable to not take Tim Williams if he was there in the 2nd. Of course, I thought the same thing about Myles Jack this year...

Ya i agree. I just have this feeling were looking way too deep into that. Ozzie said he looks at the kids twitter account to see how smart they are and the things they say. Thats why i was saying that.

That would mean he either started looking at twitter stuff after we drafted Elam or he hasn't been paying enough attention.
