[News] Mistakes Continue To Doom Ravens In Fourth-Straight Loss

46 posts in this topic

at this point one must think there is a coaching problem. Same thing every week "We need to play better" We're not playing winning football", Yet each week they keep getting worse. Hope something turns around soon.

please lord, help this team

Browns have been saying that for years so that will not help. You just have to be patience for the rest of the ownership to see this team from the outside like the fans do.

two things, this team is not as talented as some people think and last but probably first of all, Harbaugh has to go. I like him as a coach but i dont think the players are listening to him anymore. Foolish mistakes like these come down to coaching.

Harbaugh is the problem, the Ravens need to clean house.

What was funny during the game was the receiver out running all the Ravens team and the announcers saying "I did not think he was THAT fast"

6 yards total rushing! yes, 6 TOTAL YARDS looks like in stead of firing the OC they should have set FIRE TO THE PLAY BOOK!!

John could be on the hot seat. He is turning into Billick, where he wouldn't sit Boller. What a horrible effort by the offense today. Horrible.

he's not the whole problem.. look at the draft picks Baltimore has picked up in the last 10 years.. how many pro-bowlers are in there? Not very many huh? guess whoever is making the draft choices is pretty bad at their job. I think bscotti needs to fire everyone not named biscotti and start over.

Great point. Other than Mel Kiper always giving Ozzie high grades take a look at our last seven to eight drafts and what REAL IMPACT players we have from them. CJ Mosely-YES, Yanda-YES, Jimmy Smith, OK to MAYBE, Branden Williams-MAYBE. KO-YES (but took the payday from Oakland which all players should do). We get caught up in all of our over hyped draft picks who basically turn out to be roster fillers.
Anybody out there have someone that I overlooked?

Anquan Boldin. A players with guts, attitude, and heart, Lions signed him for 2 mill. 32 receptions, 4 TD's. Like I said in August you can never have enough WINNERS on your team who also have guts, attitude, and heart, All three of those things are sadly absent on this squad from top to bottom.

The mistakes the Ravens committed can be corrected with with good coaching. I'm sure Harbaugh and Company will correct the areas needing fine tuning and after the bye the Ravens will be back to playing winning football led by our elite QB at the helm.

Time for a new OC I'd imagine

Joe is the common denominator the last 4 years. The Offense has always bogged down and been inconsistent and this is nothing new. It is time to sit Joe when he is sucking and let's see what the other guy can do.

Harbaugh is the new Billick. Spineless and NEVER accepts blame... It's always we, we, we... No John, it's on you. 4 weeks in a row. Go Ravens!

And two years ago he was a few trick plays and deflated footballs away from the AFC championship game.

When your offense scores zero points in a game, THAT is where the blame lies. Ok, there were some miscues, pretty bad ones at that, BUT, nothing that wouldn't have been overcome by some real offense. Instead you have inaccurate Flacco throwing two absolutely awful picks to the Jets, and Harbaugh, standing there watching the game go down, doing nothing. Mallett should have been in the game, if not to start the second half, certainly after the second interception. Maybe it would have shaken things up and given Joe, who apparently thinks he can't be replaced, something to consider. Until Bisciotti cleans house, nothing will get better.

I have been screaming about Ozzie Newsome's blown high draft picks for years and all I get is grief from those who think he can do no wrong. Ever since Ozzie drafted Sergio Kindle, it has been all downhill. I watch the NFL draft and no one, absolutely NO ONE, had Matt Elam rated as a first round pick. Same with Perriman. A ball dropper in college and a ball dropper in the NFL. OH, he is sooooo fast. Yeah, right. If he is so fast, why can't he get behind cornerbacks, and even if he does, there is a 50% chance he will drop the pass. Yeah, real value Ozzie. Our drafts have killed us.

Today and other times, Flacco is not an elite quarterback, but, getting elite money, he has to go. I hate to say this, maybe we need to clean house and start over. Anyone who says we are reloading is crazy. I watched the video and there is Pees laughing having a good time, he needs to go. He hasn't done anything since he came here. The didn't do anything when he was the Colts defensive coordinator,
another one of Harbaugh's retreads. Pees you should have had a huge scow on your face with the inept tackling the last two weeks. Laugh your fool head off when you get home, not on camera after a loss. Our coaches have gotten too comfortable in their jobs. Mr. Bisciotti, don't give big contracts to people who care. Kick their butts to the curb, start with Pees.

No John, it's YOU, YOU, YOU. You almost gave the Super Bowl win away to SF. They darn near beat us. Get a grip.

Poor coaching... Fix it or fire them all! Just horrible. Embarassing. AGAIN!!!

agreed, we can't tackle or block. When you lose to a 1 and 5 team, something is wrong. It's shameful to a quarterback, who was benched last week is pitiful, Hey Pees you have to game plan for both quarterbacks, stop laughing when we lose, it's not a joke.

They have fine tuned anything yet. Most teams adjust at half time of the game they are playing now, not during a bye week. The Ravens coaches just don't get it.

Another big mistake. Why don't we pay productive player. Boldin is doing much better than Smith, sr. I think Forsett had a pretty good day for the Lions. Maybe it's the blocking scheme, not the player, YA THINK.

It's becoming more and more evident, that the root of all our problems is the decisions by our FO made the last couple of years. Sure, there are things they could not predict like injuries and players not performing well, but they gambled (drafting some of the players they did, letting KO walk etc.) and it has backfired in a big way.

Unfortunately it'll take years for us to climb out of the whole we are in because of the decisions of our FO. The reasons - cap situation, even bigger roster needs to fill after this season, young players not developing as expected, no team leaders in sight, no playmakers on the team etc.
