When will the Ravens D learn not to knock out the starting QB when they are in control of the game. This has been our Achilles' Heal so many times, I quit counting... Defense is on the field too much, and Offense has to come up with some scheme that allows Joe some time to throw the ball. Joe needs to practice his short game accuracy. Simple solutions that cost us 4 games in my opinion.

I'm pissed beyond words, but I still believe in the team, the good news is the steelers lost, the bad news is the Bengals won (It's the browns, but Hill sure helped my fantasy team.) We've got to be the most disloyal fanbase in the league, you people should know how the ravens roll by now, it's never pretty, it's never perfect. We have a bye coming up Stanley will be back, hopefully suggs, yanda, mosley will return. Flacco has more time to rest his shoulder, etc. All you people freaking out need to CHILL we're STILL one game out of 1st in the north, it's not as bad as you're making it out to be.

It's called losing 4 games straight. I see that your grand plan is hope that other teams lose. Good luck with that one.

The sun rises and sets on the QB and it is showing BIG TIME! And I thought that other pass was batted down at the line but nope it was thrown into the dirt! And that FLOP with no one around him should be enough evidence to all that keep blaming the O line and Harbs! It's time for a change! Sincerely The Troll smh
PS my week is screwed again because I eat and sleep Ravens football! It's time for a change and Mallet needs to start to save the season or it will be more excuses and unnecessary finger pointing! Smh

mallett isnt the answer either. the roster is talent deficient. ozzie, decosta and the scouts are to blame. harbs and his poor selection of position coaches are to blame as well. bisciotti needs to slam his fist into the wall or table and demand better from these guys

It's becoming so embarrassing that if I owned the team I'd fire Harbaugh and bring in some college talent. This is getting silly, week after week of sub-par play.

ozzie should go 1st. this roster is his and it is talent deficient

Let's see.....Another dismal performance, I'm not used to seeing seeing the Ravens so bad. What I noticed just from watching on TV:

Flacco throwing off back foot, not stepping up into throws (sometimes he can't), Big Joe seems not to trust stepping forward. Joe is not as accurate as normal (maybe because he is throwing off back foot).

Limited playcalling on offense causing defenses to sniff out most plays. Not being able to score is allowing opposing offenses time to figure out best way to attack our defense. Their linebackers are crashing in way too fast, they know the play about to be run, (Maybe adjust routes a few yards, or reverse a few things to see if that gets them rattled, right now I can guess the play 8 out of 10 times from home). Teams are beating our defense by getting the ball out fast.....and we don't do that because?

On Defense, poor tackling, poor technique giving after the big play catch run ability (often leading to a score). Blitzes aren't fooling anybody, they are doing either awesome game planning, or the defense is way to predictable.

Season is still wide open, but Ravens need to stop worrying about getting out of funk and just play football. Skill, technique, and execution are indeed needed, but winning comes down to the heart of a team! So knock it off, go out and have fun again and do what you do! GO RAVENS! CB 25

Joe Flacco is killing this team! I'm sorry but it is what it is! Sincerely The Troll

you are correct. They need a new coaching staff to take a new look at him and see him for what he is not what they want him to be.

Agree. He plays so aweful every week, and he never gets benched. He was never great. In the beginning of his career, the defense carried him. The only decent time in his career was the playoff run of 2012. Without a great defense like we used to have, the wins have dwindled. Flacco isn't really playing any worse but there's no longer the defense to win the game like we used to have.

O-Line is the biggest problem. What's the deal w/ Stanley? I wish the Ravens would quit playing cute and tell us what's going on with him. It's a repeat of last year when nobody would say anything about Perriman. Anybody notice that we're 3-0 with Stanley in the lineup (I think)? And Alex Lewis = Drive Killer. Two straight weeks w/ back-to-back penalties - holding and false start. Ridiculous. Can't have that in the NFL. But he wouldn't be in that position if Stanley wasn't hurt.

Secondary is the 2nd biggest problem (no pun intended), for the 2nd year in a row. Injuries and poor tackling. Time for Weddle to really step it up and sort those guys out. Isn't that why he's here?

3rd, our higher draft picks just aren't performing. Perriman, Stanley, Elam, Brooks. That puts a lot of pressure on a team that overpaid its QB and put themselves in a money hole. And now it's showing. Great job by guys like Judon, Jernigan, Williams, Pearce. But the guys that were drafted in the low rounds are expected to play like a low round draft pick. Ours aren't. They're barely on the field in the first place.

Agree w/ previous comments. Harbaugh is on the hot seat. Don't think anything will happen til the end of the season. But if we go 5-11 again, or worse, I think there's a greater than 50% chance he's gone.

I live in the NY area and went to the game. Incredibly depressing.

So you're putting the blame on everyone accept Joe? open your eyes man

harbaugh has a great career record so he is safe for another 2 years imo. the bigger problem is the front office and crappy drafts they have had. no playmakers/gamechangers on this team. hard to win with mediocre players. flacco is overpaid as well

Mr. Eisenberg the Ravens must have read your article last week and truly believed that this Sunday's game was not a "must win" and decided to take the day off. I am sure that with the bye the Ravens players will have time to heal, and with exceptional coaching from Harbaugh and Co. over the next two weeks the Ravens will get back to winning football with Joe Flacco leading the way. Remember everyone we have an "Elite QB" who has not had any blocking up front from his o-line. Stanley and Yanda I HOPE will be back after the bye making our o-line better than what we have seen. Coach Juan Castillo please switch out Zuttah for Urshel at center and we will be set to start a string of victories!!!! Go Ravens...

Bears are shopping for a QB, please trade Joe Flacco to them, with flacco contract we going to be like the Saints cap situation.

would do that in 1 second and throw in Harbaugh for their oc.....

The season is over the question is will Harbaugh make it through the whole season? The owner has to look at this closely.

I really don't think the owner cares...........or he would do something....

im not good with it but i cannot can him. firing harbs isnt the only answer here. the front office needs a major shakeup. harbaugh did not draft the mediocre players on this roster. harbs has hired some bad position coaches and coordinators.

All that you wrote is true.

I have never been a Flacvo fan. What you have seen for the past 4. years since his contract, is the normal sequella of a team that no longer has any cap significant cap room.

If not Joe himself, then certainly his contract is going to cost Harbaugh his job.

Bring in Jim from Michigan that would convert the Ravens into winners!!! Heck John could stay on as the Special Teams coach too.

This was just a terrible day for the Ravens, matter of fact the last four Sundays have been terrible days for the Ravens, and they can't seem to find a way for anything to work!!! Yes, we do have injuries, but so does every other team in the nfl so that's no excuse, but the thing about the Ravens they don't know how to fix it, for instance why do the same players keep getting injured every year, is it time for folks to retire? Last year we had a 5-11 season what will it be this year 3-13, it's time to makes some serious changes that the Ravens refuse to make!!! If we can't beat a 1-5 team how will we beat teams that are better, we are talking about getting people back from injuries, that may help, but if it doesn't then what? Flacco was poor simple as that, but they kept him in the game, and the play calling was just as bad, and ineffective, the defense helped out a lot, but they are the defense and not the offense who looked terrible, especially the offensive line in the second half along with untimely mistakes and penalties!!! It wasn't many but it was enough to derail serious drives that were sorely needed, during a time when the Ravens could have gotten us back in the game, and being a rookie is no excuse for that, for if you can't do what's needed to help the team win, what good are you to the team!!! All of these rookies and new guys have not helped us win because they can't seem to put it all together, they can't seem to make it gel, is it the QB's fault, is it the coaches fault, is it the GM's fault, I believe there is enough blame to go around for everyone on the team, for they can't seem to make it work, the players, the coaching staff, the GM, and even the owner!!! I mean all of you have made decisions that have brought us to where we are today, for you got rid of the team that won the Superbowl and so here we are today, how will you fix this!!! Now the Ravens are still my team, but are we in rebuilding mode, because we are not even a shell of the Ravens team that won the Superbowl!!! But anyhow GO RAVENS!!!

The only problems I see with this team is a poor offensive line and red zone offense. Before it was poor run and pass blocking, then one week it was poor run block, then the other week pass blocking. Not once have we ever experienced a game where the O line played solid on both aspects. Secondly our Offense just doesn't score enough points.
They'll make a big play and move the ball, then stall and either settle for a field goal, or the offensive flow will come to a complete stop and we have to punt. I think people are overreacting, saying stupid s*** that makes no since that would turn this organization into the Browns. Thank god we have a bye week, I swear if we could just get healthy, Get Stanley and Yanda back, and work on capitalizing off good field position/turnovers, and punch the ball in the endzone more, we can quickly turn things around.

I'm sure with the extra time to practice during the bye the Ravens coaches will address the problems causing these losses and the Ravens will return to winning football especially with Joe Flacco being an "Elite QB" and all!!!!

I said he was overpaid. He's a good (not great, btw) qb when he gets good protection. ANY qb who gets knocked around a lot is going to have a bad day. What's the best way to stop Brady? Knock him around. How did defenses stop Peyton? Knock him around or force him to move. As everyone always says, "it all starts up front". That said, Joe compounded a bad day for the O-line by making a bunch of bad throws.

Piss poor performance all the way down the list, from the scouting, the Front office, coaches, and players!!! Flacco is just not that smart! Good arm, but doesn't see the field like other great QBs. I get so sick to my stomach when I see the Patriots and how awesome they are!! The coaches and players seem smarter, and work WAY HARDER ON THE FIELD!!!! The defense and RAY RICE carried slow Joe for a long time....now that they're gone, you see he was just a mediocre talent with a big( inaccurate) arm. The Silver lining in all of this is that I live in Florida now, and at least get to see sunshine and palm trees after an abysmal loss....bums!!!

Joe is a SB winning QB. It's in his DNA. I am sure the bye will work miracles on the Ravens because the players will heal from their injuries and be back to turn this ship around. Heck we have a good Captain steering the ship in John Harbaugh. Joe did have a bad day but we gotta remember he had no blocking up front. Go Ravens!!!

We need to get better, we need to play better, we need to play smarter, we need to play winning football.......now that I've said all of that, I guess I can be the Raven's coach now, doesn't seem to be any prerequisites as a "real coach" to get hired!!

The other thing too... Im not buying the falicy some in the media are putting o

Look at some of the players they have drafted since 2008, and when you factor in your paying 20million for a bottom 20 performing Qb you cant retain your own alot.

2011, Jimmy Smith(paid), Torrey Smith, Pernell McPhee all 2nd contract worthy players especially 2 defensive guys but with Joe winning SB next year...couldnt do it.
2010, Pitta, and Art Jones. They made right calls on them

I could point at B.Williams,Jermigan, and players this year who look good..
And for the neysayer nope Im not forgetting Art Brown or Kindle etc but everyone misses..dont just act like Cap and Joes contract doesnt factor into losing many quality players though

I liked this team better and majority of fans I believe did too when they had an identity. An that indentity was "Ravens Football" Punch you in the mouth, Smashmouth put the fear of God Defense in the opposing team. Smash mouth offense run the ball 30-35x a game, limit chances for turnovers...Kubiak style playaction bombs and TEs over deep middle.

Not Harbaugh and current operation of cliches from cliche .com while chuck&duck 45x every week.
Harbaugh wouldnt know "Tough" unless Ray Lewis tackled his backside and squirreldanced all over Bmore.

Stop the cliches, take action.... akready HC.. No more chuck&duck
