[News] The Breakdown: Eisenberg's Five Thoughts vs. Jets

Well don't expect any changes this year. Not until end of 2017. The first prediction I see coming is the Browns get their first win off the Ravens and all this talk about close game will come to end after the bye. Ravens will experience getting blown out by 14 + points.

They play like a 3rd division college team. They look like a 3rd division football team in the white shirt and black pants - it's the ugliest uniform in the league and they are playing in the same fashion. Heads need to roll!!

5 Things I'm looking forward to the rest of the season.

1) Matt Judon. If we lose the next game the season is lost and its time to see what the young bucks on this team can do. I want to see Judon develop with more reps, he's one of the few young guys that looks like they could be special.

2) Matt Elam returning. Webb is obviously not the answer nor is kendrick lewis or huff so might as well see what Elam can do in the last 8 games. He gets a lot of hate, but he still only 25 and has more potential than any safety we have now.

3) If any running backs emerge. West is good but not a game changer, right now we have 4 average running backs. Hopefully one steps up for next season.

4) What perriman has to offer. Steve will be gone next year, leaving us with Wallace and Aiken for next year, if perriman doesn't develop we will be in desperate need of a receiver in the draft again.

5) The draft, this team needs an influx off talent and playmakers in the worst possible way.

5 Thoughts...

1) Beating a Dead Horse is good until someone at 1 Winning Drive gets the message.
6straight 40plus pass attempt games 4 straight losses, and 2 straight years pass addicted offense.
HELLO!!! Anybody home...Ravens organization succeeds smashmouth running the ball 30x a game&Joe throwing 30-35x a game.

2) Harbaugh seat getting hotter by the week. All HC Cliche's from Cliche.com as some would say are not going to save him. Any great HC worrh his salt would force his organizations style onto his OC,DC. Its obvious Coach is not trlling Trestman or Marty to RunThedangBall hes letting them go free and pass addicted gameplan thats hurting both our defense and offense.

3) No Excuses for not stopping the run game even without elite run defenders like Sizzle,Mosley in the game.
On the bright side Judon,Pierce,Jernigan,Williams all got sacks, totalling 5, but it went for nothing cause if you dont stop the run you lose Time of Possession. You gas your defense, and then when your offense is pass addicted like Marty,Trestman gets a bunch of 3&outs or stalling it hurts more

4) Joe Flacco- Regardless of excuses or reasons that could be laid out for a supposed top 10 qb getting 20million hes not performing like a top 20 qb.
Below a 80 qb rating INTs higher then TDs again, and yes having him throw 40x a game is hurting him but hes gotta step up or Ravens need to look at drafting a replacement in a year or 2. Not only his play hurting this franchise but inability to keep quality players like KO, etc cause a 20million underperforming player.
Either take a pay cut like Brady&others to 8,10mil range..or step your game up..or be replaced.

5) What else is there to say really besides..its like smashing your face against a wall watching this team. Every fan knows the problems but people at 1 winning drive continue to give us Cliche from cliche .com instead of fixes.

I no longer look forward to Sundays and no longer have any bragging rites at work. In fact, I totally avoid the football discussion like the plague. We only have a few decent, consistent players who really try to make difference...SSS, Aiken, Wallace, West, Dixon, Perriman (as of late). But Joe's throws are all over the place sometimes (under or over). He only scrambles or moves around in the pocket if he has no other choice, when actually he should do it in some cases to buy more time or move defenders out of position to free up his receivers down field. His confidence seems to be shot at times and I'm sure it's partially eroded because of the lack of protection from his O-line. Our defense still has the same problem(s) it's had for the last 4 games...which is giving up the big splash play late in the 4th qtr...every game. If they're gonna give up a BIG splash play each game I'd rather it not be in the 4th qtr. when the game is hanging in the balance.
And the penalties, though reduced this week, have haunted us week-in and week-out. Our offensive play-calling has no creativity...no flea-flicker, no end-around reverse. All we do to try to mix it up is throw the ball straight down the line of scrimmage which results in nothing or either negative yardage. It takes too long to develop, and by the time the ball gets there the defender is already on top of the receiver. And the screen pass is becoming predictable. We won't beat the Squeelas after the bye...they're wayyy better than we are at this point of the season.

Basically just a few thoughts. 1. Season O-V-E-R. 2. Top 10 pick. 3. Mark Clayton, I mean Breshad Perriman is a #1 pick. He will NEVER be "THAT GUY".

Flacco and Harbaugh are the reasons the Ravens lost this game. Good grief man. We are playing against a 1-5 team, whose quarterback was benched because he was the worst in the NFL. Yet Flacco looks like crap the entire game and Harbaugh does nothing to try to win. Mallett should have started the second half. Even after those two absolutely horrible picks thrown by Flacco, the game was still within reach. A real head coach would have pulled Flacco out, giving his team a chance. Instead, he leaves him in to the bitter end and he looked just as awful then as he did in the first half. This great offensive machine managed zero points against a 1-5 team and no one sees a problem here. Unbelievable.

really,i get no indication FLACCO really cares,i see him going with his first option and be damned the rest, plenty of times i see him throwing into double coverage when another guy is wide open,am i right??

YES YOU ARE rite Joe is done and he is gonna get people fired like Habs and it's not Harbs fault! I see QBs being pressured in all games but for some reason they feel it's not supposed to happen to the Ravens! Smh Stevie Wonder see that Joe is done when will some of these fans see that as well! Smh Joe is our Tony Romo and he has to be benched or there will be more excuses after excuses! Sincerely The Troll

Matt Elam sucks. He is just another in a long list of failed high draft choices that Ozzie Newsome blew. Perriman is the latest.

Surfdude, signing Flacco to that extension was a mistake and has handicapped the franchise for the next four to five years.

yeah it might turn this franchise into the Browns again.

whole organization needs to be looked at from GM Newsome on down. The draft picks are talent less

Eisenberg always blames everyone else except Flacco. The NFL is geared towards the offense, the defense did everything they could possibly do to keep the Ravens in that game. How do you expect to win a game and your offense can't even get in the endzone? Justin Tucker has more points than the offense this year and that says a lot about Flacco and how bad of an investment he is. I just wish Eisenberg would face reality and stop blaming people around Flacco and start blaming him for the teams problems.

Absolutely embarrassing . No passion. No coaching. No players. I'm done with the NFL this year and maybe forever. Bad product on the field all the way around. Just my 2 cents.

same excuses every week its time to turn the page. Get a new approach, a new coach and coaching staff.

O-Line is the biggest problem. What's the deal w/ Stanley? I wish the Ravens would quit playing cute and tell us what's going on with him. It's a repeat of last year when nobody would say anything about Perriman. Anybody notice that we're 3-0 with Stanley in the lineup (I think)? And Alex Lewis = Drive Killer. Two straight weeks w/ back-to-back penalties - holding and false start. Ridiculous. Can't have that in the NFL. But he wouldn't be in that position if Stanley wasn't hurt.

Secondary is the 2nd biggest problem (no pun intended), for the 2nd year in a row. Injuries and poor tackling. Time for Weddle to really step it up and sort those guys out. Isn't that why he's here?

3rd, our higher draft picks just aren't performing. Perriman, Stanley, Elam, Brooks. That puts a lot of pressure on a team that overpaid its QB and put themselves in a money hole. And now it's showing. Great job by guys like Judon, Jernigan, Williams, Pearce. But the guys that were drafted in the low rounds are expected to play like a low round draft pick. Ours aren't. They're barely on the field in the first place.

Agree w/ previous comments. Harbaugh is on the hot seat. Don't think anything will happen til the end of the season. But if we go 5-11 again, or worse, I think there's a greater than 50% chance he's gone.

I live in the NY area and went to the game. Incredibly depressing.

Ever wonder why this particular DC hasn't received a head coaching call? It's because the game has passed him by. His 3-4 scheme, poor game planning and inability to adjust has done him in.

And the Ravens.

Wholesale coaching changes are in store at the conclusion of this season.

agreed

Joe Flacco is killing this team! I'm sorry but it is what it is! Sincerely The Troll

you are correct. They need a new coaching staff to take a new look at him and see him for what he is not what they want him to be.

Let's see.....Another dismal performance, I'm not used to seeing seeing the Ravens so bad. What I noticed just from watching on TV:

Flacco throwing off back foot, not stepping up into throws (sometimes he can't), Big Joe seems not to trust stepping forward. Joe is not as accurate as normal (maybe because he is throwing off back foot).

Limited playcalling on offense causing defenses to sniff out most plays. Not being able to score is allowing opposing offenses time to figure out best way to attack our defense. Their linebackers are crashing in way too fast, they know the play about to be run, (Maybe adjust routes a few yards, or reverse a few things to see if that gets them rattled, right now I can guess the play 8 out of 10 times from home). Teams are beating our defense by getting the ball out fast.....and we don't do that because?

On Defense, poor tackling, poor technique giving after the big play catch run ability (often leading to a score). Blitzes aren't fooling anybody, they are doing either awesome game planning, or the defense is way to predictable.

Season is still wide open, but Ravens need to stop worrying about getting out of funk and just play football. Skill, technique, and execution are indeed needed, but winning comes down to the heart of a team! So knock it off, go out and have fun again and do what you do! GO RAVENS! CB 25

The sun rises and sets on the QB and it is showing BIG TIME! And I thought that other pass was batted down at the line but nope it was thrown into the dirt! And that FLOP with no one around him should be enough evidence to all that keep blaming the O line and Harbs! It's time for a change! Sincerely The Troll smh
PS my week is screwed again because I eat and sleep Ravens football! It's time for a change and Mallet needs to start to save the season or it will be more excuses and unnecessary finger pointing! Smh

I'm pissed beyond words, but I still believe in the team, the good news is the steelers lost, the bad news is the Bengals won (It's the browns, but Hill sure helped my fantasy team.) We've got to be the most disloyal fanbase in the league, you people should know how the ravens roll by now, it's never pretty, it's never perfect. We have a bye coming up Stanley will be back, hopefully suggs, yanda, mosley will return. Flacco has more time to rest his shoulder, etc. All you people freaking out need to CHILL we're STILL one game out of 1st in the north, it's not as bad as you're making it out to be.

Other than Mel Kiper who always gives Ozzie high grades for the draft, who have we really drafted over the last seven years who have turned onto IMPACT players not just roster fillers? CJ Mosely-YES, Brandon Williams MAYBE, Jimmy Smith-OK to MAYBE, Yanda-YES, Stanley looking like a YES(Hopefully) and KO who took the Raiders money(which ALL players should do). Who else am I missing?

We consistently have a roster of aging veterans, retreads, and over hyped draft picks. Perriman. Arthur Brown, Elam, KC, and on and on and on and on........

It's becoming so embarrassing that if I owned the team I'd fire Harbaugh and bring in some college talent. This is getting silly, week after week of sub-par play.
