We offered him 8, which is hardly a nominal gesture.

Then you ask Joe to take a cut to keep KO, unless he likes getting drilled all the time....its like we are afraid to even try

You will if your qb is throwing picks and losing games and your job is on the line

Yup, all four of those picks. In six games.

How can any team come back from that?

I have no idea how someone can say Harbaugh should be fired but a change in the front office isn't needed.

Who cares what he thinks. There were multiple NFL insiders that posted that we made him a "very substantial" offer at the time.

Besides... why are we even discussing KO? Do geniuses really think a $12M guard is the solution to this teams problems?

Like do people even watch games anymore?

Tom Brady saw the big picture. Take a pay cut to add more pieces. You get better, then you get the money back in indorsement deals by getting better. Joe needs to give back some money, or go away

LaQuon Treadwell is hardly playing this year, and he's behind the likes of Jarius Wright, Cord Patterson, and Adam Thielen.

Ok I'll give him a break, still needs to step up his game though

Then you offer him the 10 mil you have, and hope he takes a hometown discount to stay.....we didnt even try to

i don't think The Ravens had the cap space to give any body 10 million a year  and for a young guy like K.O who already has a super bowl ring why wouldn't he want to got to the team that offers the most money ?

Think the hard part about the run game today was that our OL was being absolutely destroyed by that impressive Jets front.  I don't like abandoning the run game, but I feel like it at least has some rationale this week.

Even when the run game is being shutdown you still have to find a way to keep it in your scheme. In games like this it's not how much you gain - it's not letting their defense t-off on your Oline on every down until you can figure-out how to beat them with more balance.

So mister cap manager what is the dead money.  We have a young group of lineman in Uershal Stanley Lewis that look good when playing. And who are these veterans that we will losing that aren't already coming off the books such as Suggs Smith and even Dumervill can be replaced. Weddle and Smith are the only defensive veterans I would hate to lose.  On offense we are young in the right positions.

The dead money for what? Cutting or trading Joe? $47.3M in 2017. That's the cap cost of cutting or trading Joe.

In short, there's five veterans on this roster where it makes virtually no sense to cut after this season:

Flacco, Jimmy, Yanda, Weddle and Suggs. You can make a very weak case for dumping Suggs, but from a cap perspective, I don't see it. MAYBE post June 1st.

Other than those guys, from a cap perspective, everybody is expendable the way I see it (excluding rookie contract guys).

If any moron starts discussing moving on from the guys above, they are morons, don't understand the financial side of football, and there's no point in discussing with them further.

All of these "lets move on from Flacco" guys are clowns. They know nothing.

I wonder how many pro bowls we had sitting on the bench today talent wise. Hopefully the bye gets us healthy.

Lol almost the same as last week ( minus Hester ) whatever arbitrary number the media put out to make a point.  I think they said like 26 pro bowls between 6 players ( Yanda, Suggs, Doom, Mosley, S.Smith, Hester )

which was a stupid stat instead of them just saying are missing 6 former pro bowlers

If things go the way they continue to go, we are going to have a TON of cap space.

Give you a break? I wouldn't hold my breath if I were you

You can complain that a first round pick isn't the most amazing player on the planet, but to act as if he's a bust 7 games into pretty much his rookie season being behind multiple other receiver is just plain moronic

"Most amazing player on the planet"?! Are you HIGH?!

Oh I agree.  Still don't like it.  I understand us passing more than running today, but the splits are still awful.  Can't have that much of a gap.

Tom Brady isn't taking a pay cut at all. His contract  has got restructured at times but it's far from a pay cut. You may need to look up what The Patriots are actually doing  with his contract and alot people think he's receiving less money but that's not the case at all.

Has anyone ever seen a back shoulder throw from Flacco.  Since we know our receiver can't get open.  Except Wallace.

LOL, well after making about $150M and marrying a model who makes more than he does.

I wouldn't feel too sorry for him... he's making almost $29M this year, and he missed four games.

Coaching changes are not gonna slove sqaut..... It's the players man.

I'm with you here.  I think sometimes coaching needs to be changed (i.e. Trestman), but this is on the players.  The players have to execute.  Can't blame everything on guys making the calls on the sidelines.  They aren't the ones missing tackles, dropping balls, etc.
