The good, the bad, really bad and ugly week 7 vs Jets vent

You need to draft players with heart, and skill, and football brains.

Your hc needs to have a plan.

Your Offensive and defensive minds, need to be able to make adjustments if the plan fails.

Your scouts need to stop looking for starters in small schools only. There is a reason better players get full rides in bigger schools, bc they are BETTER PLAYERS

LaQuon Treadwell is hardly playing this year, and he's behind the likes of Jarius Wright, Cord Patterson, and Adam Thielen.

So? He's a bust too. Know what Perriman doesn't have in common with first rounders that are proven playmakers now? They actually did SOMETHING while developing. And don't tell me one catch for 11 yards is something.

And you do not resign your homegrown ravens like KO

K.O got 12 million a year like  he was the best offensive guard in the league which he wasn't . 12 million a year for a guard is ridiculous money and The Ravens didn't have the cap space to afford him.

Omgosh...what do you Flacco worshippers want any more of???

You got rid of all the possible OC you can think of.

You want to get rid of our whole organization and keep flacco.

No thanks! You and flacco and his 120m contract can have a honeymoon somewhere else!! Go blame some other organization and you can KEEP his trent edwards performance elsewhere!

I'd rather activate Keenan Reynolds and run the triple option at the point. Sorry this is the lowest I have felt about this team ever. 42 yards in the second half? Really?

we are not "Like" the old penalty prone Raiders, we give up points neither our OL or DL can get back!

It's tough to lose 4 games in a row.  However, I do see light at the end of the tunnel.  In the fact that Cinci is not as good as in the past, we face Pittsburgh once without Big Ben.  We have a good chance to win this division since it's the weakest it's been in a long time.  If we don't win the division, then I think we have a realistic shot at the last wildcard.  Remember, we don't need to be playing our best football now -- it's in December - January when it counts the most.  After this bye week, we should get back quite a few of the vets -- I think on offense you need that emotional firecracker -- Steve Smith to keep the team focused.  On Defense, I think we could realistically see a change at safety -- as Webb is just not the answer.  When Mosley gets back that will shore up our middle.

Let's not lose hope -- this is still a division within our reach! :)

flacco was clearly hurt and the line was aweful

still we could finish the year 8-8 and if we can beat cincy and Pittsburgh at least once each that could win the division don't give up

Now that I got my rant  post out.

Problem #1*****

OFFENSIVE LINE

You can't run and control the game without it.

You can't pass effectively without it.

Offense looks like this without it.

Your defense gets tired without it.

He asked for a 1st rounder in a similar situation and I named one.  I don't care if you call him a bust or not.  I didn't like this pick much either, but that doesn't mean I'm not willing to give him the time to prove me wrong.  That's your prerogative, and no matter how dumb I think it may be, you can feel free to keep calling him a bust for all I care.  Maybe you turn out to be correct, but I'm level headed enough to realize that 7 games doesn't determine a career.

Oh Ya.

How do these guy sit behind player like R.Lewis and Reed and Ogden and others.

Come out and play with NO fire like back in the day.

They weren't perfect, but I thought the defense played hard. The offense had the temperament of its leader.

Then you offer him the 10 mil you have, and hope he takes a hometown discount to stay.....we didnt even try to

The lack of game changing talent on this team is really starting to show, and that's a serious problem.  As you said though, it's hard to pinpoint where the blame lies.  All we know is the drafting has been subpar and our FA record has been spotty at best as well.

Yep, said it for about two weeks and made a post on it. I guess we need to lose 4 straight for ppl to realize.

We offered him 8, which is hardly a nominal gesture.

Still not totally willing to say it myself, but it is the first time I've even considered it a possibility in my mind.

Same here. I've convinced myself that I would be alright with firing Harbaugh but whether or not to let go of Ozzie. Hasn't Ozzie said that Eric has had more input in the draft than in recent years? Maybe that's why we aren't good at drafting all of a sudden. Ozzie isn't in control. We should have let Eric go a long time ago if this is how he drafts.

Thanks for this. I was thinking the same thing. 4-2 in this season in the AFC North could get you to the playoffs. Everyone is under-performing outside the division.

well I think the schedule gets tougher now, but we are still in it for the division big ben is out for a long time. we have to beat Pittsburgh and cincy

They are saying now that Big Ben may only be out 2-3 more weeks and they have a bye next week, same as us.

We failed by not sticking with the run, even if it only got us 2 yds per carry. I dont believe Flacco should be starting

Think the hard part about the run game today was that our OL was being absolutely destroyed by that impressive Jets front.  I don't like abandoning the run game, but I feel like it at least has some rationale this week.

They put this team together with glue. everyone in Baltimore and the press knew  this wasn't a good team. They can't pass protect. They can't run the ball against good teams. Flacco Is scared of getting hit, and who can blame him. I don't want to hear he is ELITE either, HE ISN"T, ELITE Quarterbacks can score in the red zone. But the interceptions today were on him. The team has to many penalties, the team has no discipline. our drafts lately have been terrible, and that's on Steve and Ozzie. Is Ozzie to old for this now? I wonder. Yes he makes some smart moves, but we get out drafted every year by Pittsburgh and Cincinnati over the last few years. we are getting older, they are getting younger. I don't want to hear about injuries, I don't want to hear we have to work harder. They are going backwards, they are not improving. THE RAVEN"S RECORD AS OF 2013----  WIN'S 26  LOSS'S 29..... Now that's a good front office, good drafting, good coaching wouldn't you say! ART MODELL IS ROLLING OVER IN HIS GRAVE>>>>

Depending on who dies, not sure TWD is good lol But I'll be watching!

Watching this game I just feel that they gave Flacco enough cortizone to make his shoulder feel good and it wore off. Plus he was getting pressured so much he began to see ghosts. He shouldn't have started this game and definitely should have been sat before the 4th quarter began. That is poor coaching. I mean, we want to wait so Stanley doesn't get more injured so we keep him out but we throw our QB to the wolves knowing our O line is garbage? Poor, poor coaching. You want Flacco gone? Guarantee there are still a ton of teams that will give up the world for him. And if this O line hasn't ruined his confidence for good, he'll have tremendous success. Then who do you want fired?

I can't say I agree with a ton of teams giving up world, browns, dolphins, jets, Texans, bears, 49ers , broncos (maybe ),  rams ( since they won't even play J.Goff )

chip kelly is weird so not even sure he would want him.

Even with that list of teams that could use him and don't have a younger signal caller they trust yet, no one would ever trade for him with that contract..

Tremendous success wow, well it's possible I mean I never found Carson Palmer to be anything spectacular he's looked a lot better in Arizona to me.

It may be time to revisit the Flacco contract

Too late for that one ? Hall of Fame QB type contract and bottom of the barrel production.

He's not great but he's been the best our franchise had thus far. We paid him to be what we all know he never has been and never will be. He's good at times but not consistent or accurate week in and week out. When we were healthy and had a strong supporting cast this was not as much of an issue.

Without a supporting cast and healthy players, his contract says we should be respectable and capable of carrying us in spite of that. It's a lie. I love my team but I'm not blind either.

?
