The good, the bad, really bad and ugly week 7 vs Jets vent

Depending on who dies, not sure TWD is good lol But I'll be watching!

Watching this game I just feel that they gave Flacco enough cortizone to make his shoulder feel good and it wore off. Plus he was getting pressured so much he began to see ghosts. He shouldn't have started this game and definitely should have been sat before the 4th quarter began. That is poor coaching. I mean, we want to wait so Stanley doesn't get more injured so we keep him out but we throw our QB to the wolves knowing our O line is garbage? Poor, poor coaching. You want Flacco gone? Guarantee there are still a ton of teams that will give up the world for him. And if this O line hasn't ruined his confidence for good, he'll have tremendous success. Then who do you want fired?

You not going to see many head coaches benching their starting franchise quarterback in those situation. if Tom Brady, Aaron Rodger, Big Ben, Cam Newton and etc are playing the same way with a sore shoulder their head coach is not going to bench them.

Still not totally willing to say it myself, but it is the first time I've even considered it a possibility in my mind.

I'd really like to know who's in charge of what with those two. It makes it harder for outsiders to diagnose exactly what the problem is, but they are not bringing in anywhere near enough talent and there's been so many bad contracts. And this has been happening for years now. We've just been able to barely hang on due to good long-tenured players but now those guys are gone or suck.

We may not be able to see it now, but it may be a blessing in disguise to lose to the Jets today. It could mean the difference between someone we really need in the draft. Seriously, this team is not going anywhere anyway.

Can we stop bashing Flacco for a moment to talk about this run game??? 6 total rushing yards???!!!

Well we did have a 50 yard run but it got called back on a stupid penalty.

The lack of game changing talent on this team is really starting to show, and that's a serious problem.  As you said though, it's hard to pinpoint where the blame lies.  All we know is the drafting has been subpar and our FA record has been spotty at best as well.

No doubt flacco is playing poorly, but the oline is a major factor in that.    This oline is just about as bad as it gets. Also, coaching is god aweful. You can't rush the ball 10 times in a game and expect to win. It's pathetic.

You will if your qb is throwing picks and losing games and your job is on the line

And you do not resign your homegrown ravens like KO

Give you a break? I wouldn't hold my breath if I were you

You can complain that a first round pick isn't the most amazing player on the planet, but to act as if he's a bust 7 games into pretty much his rookie season being behind multiple other receiver is just plain moronic

Name one other first round rookie receiver that is fourth string right now, and then I'll give perriman a break.

This offense is still putrid, even with a coordinator change.

I don't think it's a secret that the Ravens lack a ton of depth and talent overall, but Flacco does deserve a ton of blame.

When he steps into throws and sets his feet, he looks incredible. However, it's a major issue that he's not setting his feet and he's frequently throwing off his back foot. Many times it looks like he's using his upper body only to make throws instead of using his legs and hips.

I was super hopeful that the ACL tear would allow him to relearn his mechanics, but they look worse than ever. He's relying way too much on his arm talent.

Yeah much fault on him and the O-line.. our inside LBs also played some poor zone coverage.
I don't know if it's Joe unlearning the mechanism or he just forgets how to do things properly because he's scared of getting hit.. either way it's all too depressing to describe and he hasn't been Joe "cool" for a while. Shame, because we did start to get something going on the air in the first half.

Only 2 small, good things from his game:
1) Judon first 2 sacks (got to credit him for beating his man, although he was a backup and Geno held the ball for way too long)
2) we're 1 step closer to a talented player, coming April

The (very) bad: we can start to figure out what our team will look like if we lose B.Williams through FA. A below average team who will find tougher times stuffing the run as well... Pierce looks like a good surprise but can he handle all of those double-teams and still turn effective?

LaQuon Treadwell is hardly playing this year, and he's behind the likes of Jarius Wright, Cord Patterson, and Adam Thielen.

there still not many head coaches that do that even in those situatuons.  The Jets did it with their quarterback situation but they don't really have a franchise quarterback either.

jus wanna point out we were 1-6 at this state last year  started 3-0 this year, lost a game on the road with a lot of injuries.  the bad is 4 losses now is our biggest losing streak under harb, maybe all times.

we are not a good team. we are one of those middle nfl teams but we could still win our division if we can beat Pittsburgh don't give up

We have big problems. I think the lack of a plan, is where we start. I do not believe we have the smartest football minds calling the shots here. It feels like jv

That would still only give us 56 yards, that wouldn't be enough to take pressure off the pass game.

lol ok, whatever buddy. He's the only player that's every played that wasn't amazing his rookie year, every that "knows what their talking about" gives up on players after 7 games, keep thinking that.

I don't believe in drafting guys based on their speed. Never liked the pick. To me he was a bust waiting to happen from the beginning and he has all the ingredients of busts that we've seen all through NFL history. Injury, dropped passes, lack of explosiveness, lack of toughness. How do you develop a guy to be tough? How do you teach a guy who has already made it to the NFL how to catch a football? You might have to teach an 8 year old kid how to catch, sure, but if he can't bring it in consistently by now then he can't bring it in plain and simple.

Maybe we need another shake up and let Ryan play a few games.  I am a fan of Flacco but he is not himself this year.  We have to stop the penalties.
