So many no names making plays all afternoon today. I hope our backups that will play come back with some sort of confidence. Stop playing timid and slow and play instinctual and aggressive.

The team needs to get healthy. However honestly I'd leave Suggs and Doom to minimal snaps or the sideline the rest of the year. Don't know what the future holds but I guarantee one or both won't be a Raven next year, gotta get the new kids snaps and see if their backups or starters.

Why we so negative here, remember this is 2012 all over again. We fired our OC, and went on to win the Super Bowl! Guess what also happened in 2012, a NFC West Game ended in a Tie! Guess what just happened tonight....a NFC West Game ended in a tie! Everything is going to plan.... end sarcasm.

Seriously though, we need to get healthy and that's the major thing right now. Even though we were terrible last year, we still swept the Steelers. I think there's a good chance we can beat them in two weeks with or without Big Ben. Hopefully Marty will be able to make adjustments more to fit what he likes to do and moves away from Trestman's playbook.

The Jets game was essentially the make or breaker for our season and I am standing by that. From the top down we are a joke. Without going on a long rant, we lack discipline, our coach doesn't look like he can inspire anyone, we find new ways to lose each and every week. Face facts, we are the equivalent to the Browns this year.

An important fact is that the Browns have 0 wins and Ravens have 3. Not quite equivalent.

Watch us play the best game of the year vs Pitt, it takes Pitt to remind these guys they're in the NFL I guess

I'll be at that game OU and they better play lights out and get that "W". :D

I think all they need to do to win the bye is get a healthy OL. Really curious about what happened to Stanley that he was inactive. Really though, Stanley, Yanda and Mosley are the three I want healthy the most.

I hope so Mili, we said they'd finally win a two score game for you in this game since you were going.

Man, yesterday was just bad, it really, really hurts. The worst part was I had zero confidence we would win after we lost the lead, and I can't say I've felt that hopeless in the Flacco/Harbaugh era before.

I think we're due for a PRIDE game right? Every team we play fixes their stuff vs us, it's our turn. The offense should be ashamed of themselves

Huge wasted opportunity to gain some ground in the north before the bye and then get healthy before our divisional games. Ain't over till its over but we really dug ourselves a huge hole once again.

Side note if zuttah trips up Joe one more time this year I'm gonna chuck my remote threw my TV.

According to the CBA do players have to take a break at the bye or can they still train and speak with the coaches?

I hope the players can recuperate and get healthy prior to the bye. The last 3 yrs have been hard to watch in terms of our performance and coaching. Optimistically, I don't want them to have another losing season, because if they do, we are suddenly not a top tier team like we've been touted to be over the past several years. Harbaugh needs to be accountable to the performance of this team and Bisciotti needs to do something if we lose another game or two coming off the bye. Status quo hasn't seemed to help clean this up.

i think they can still enter the facility  and workout but i don't think it's allowed for them to practice and etc.  I don't think communication between their coaches is limited at all but it's their bye week so the generally are allowed to go home and relax.

The good news is we can't lose this week. We can't blow a 7 or 10 point lead this week.

We can get healthy in time for Pitt, who may or may not have Big Ben (not that it really matters with the way our secondary plays).

Just. Get. Healthy. Oh, and stop holding!!

Said this in a different (more hostile) thread so I'm going to post it here too, in regards to the offense: I know on paper our schedule is supposed to be harder but I'm not so sure our opponent really matters with this level of disorganization on offense, we're playing ourselves on offense right now.

OK. Now that the smoke has cleared and the dust has settled, here's what needs to happen for week 9...

- Yanda, Wagner, Stanley, SSS, Mosley = All need to be ready to go vs. Pitt.

- Young needs to prepare as the starting CB alongside Jimmy.

- Judon and ZDS need to prepare as the starters.

- It's time to consider Plan B at Safety. Elam, Huff or Levine need to start seeing some more snaps at this position to slowly phase Webb out. Prepare them for this.

- Flacco and Marty need to get on the same page. The passing game needs to be the emphasis. Focusing on getting the ball out quick. Quick reads. Quick decisions. Get the ball to the wideouts with space to make plays. Be creative. Look at other offenses that work and understand what is working for them.

- Pees needs to figure out ways to apply pressure to the QB. Emphasis needs to be on working in different blitz packages.

- Get the RB's ready for a heavy work load. The commitment to the run game has to be expressed to the entire offense. This is a run team. It's built to be a running team. Yesterday was a wake up call. No reason to rush less than 20+ times each and every Sunday... NO MATTER THE SCORE.

^ I agree, except Pees has never been able to bring pressure outside of having HOFers on his squad doing it themselves. Not much help there. However if you look at the stats for the past 3 years we've consistently gotten better QB hits, sacks and turnovers when we've brought 5 rushers.

Obviously it was a hyperbole, but I meant that we find new ways to lose each week and can never find a solution

This bye week was so badly needed. Hopefully we get Yanda, Stanley, and Steve Smith Sr. back. They have to be here.

I also hope we get Doom back on defense. It would go a long way if he gets his strength back, unfortunately I have a feeling that this will be a year long problem for him.

My confidence was shot as soon as they scored the first touchdown on the same type play as the one with OBJ. just a simple little cross route and he takes it to the house and burns our entire defense. Why can't our receivers make plays like that and get Joe some TDs? I swear we are the worst in the league at getting YAC...Id like to actually fact check that. But yeah when we were up 10-0 we had a chance to score again and put them on the ropes but that is always when we let them back in it and let them hang around. Soon as it happened again i just knew we were in for a long day. West scampers 50 yards inside the 5 and it gets negated. Every big play I can't even get excited BC I'm just waiting for the flag. Its just become standard. For once I wish we could just show that killer instinct and stomp on a teams throat when we gain the lead. It's almost like when we get a lead we almost start playing conservative or something.  But yeah its the same thing week in and week out. We hold the lead for about 3 quarters or so... Lose it along with all momentum...wait till theres about 2 minutes left and do something that gives us false hope.. ( the blocked feild goal) only to come up short on the final drive. Its like dejavu all over again.

We really need to get healthy because our backups simply can't hack it, especially on the oline. I see some new blood coming in next year for oline and db.

I had the same reaction, why can't our WRs make plays? Steve Smith at 37 is the only one capable of making big plays for actual TDs, it's maddening.

Hey guys don't worry, Matt Elam comes back this Sunday our season is saved

I don't expect him to play next week. He's back practicing, but multiple reports I've read said they don't expect him back that early.

He has 3 weeks to be activated to the 53 man.
