The Ravens’ starting quarterback situation. New York’s offensive strength is running the ball, but the Ravens’ run defense tops in the league. Can the Ravens secondary contain another big-time wideout?

Based on info that is out there, apparently Flacco isn't on the injury report so I would anticipate he is playing. With Weddle the defense isn't as leaderless as it was the last time it lost Suggs and Orr is doing a good job filling in for Moseley, but we need Moseley back. He has 3 int's already this year and was on track for another pro-bowl. Jimmy Smith has to be the most missed. With the way the league has gone pass happy, without at least one shut down corner you can lock up on a receiver and forget about allowing you to concentrate your resources on the remaining wideouts, you become vulnerable all around. Filling the secondary from the practice squad is a recipe for a highly motivated Geno Smith to throw for 400 yards.

5 things to watch...

1) Flacco Will play. His bff Pitta said as much, and so did Aiken on his radio show. He will get better protection with 90% of Oline back. Stanley,Wagner,Lewis,Zuttah,Uerschel

2) Stop Forte, eliminate the run&Turnover Geno and the Jets

3) No Big Plays Defensively&STs. Jimmy Smith looks to be playing but if he got knicked up mid way through the game or something. Pees change up the coverage go cover 2, man under.. zone up more., etc Fix the issues from last game. No reason 1 WR should have 200 yrds just cause Jimmy leaves tge field.

4) TakeThePoints. This goes Triple for Coach Horrible. I dont care what the analytics say if its the first 3 quarters and its a 1 possession game or closer, and Redzone offense fails. Take the points, instead of making a bad decision.

5)Make big plays of our own in the pass game, and Run the ball effectively 25-30x

He is listed on the injury report as questionable, but reports indicate he will play.

You could add a 6th key to the game...

It'll be a season long issue especially if Sizzle is not in the game. (He'll be back for Steelers)

Get a pass rush, blitz, send 5,6 but get a rush. They dont have the talent 4 on 4. So you gotta scheme up blitzes. Do it Pees.

Then Next Year, draft a Von Miller,Sizzle type franchise HOF caliber edge rusher.
Not these overachiever types like Correa and Koufusi

If Flacco starts I am sure that he will have issues with the Jets front line and, or himself- and the excuses for Joe will come out- as usual.
Go Ravens, Go Mallett, go Maalox !

What amazes me is Joe is getting pounder every down he is in there and yet still plays but these other WIMPS got boo boos playing less time.

Amen to that!  I'll take a w in any form-no matter how ugly it is!

Agreed. And besides, expecting a pretty win (which would be nice) just wouldn't be raven-like lol

5 things to watch

1. Will the offense play beyond the first quarter?

2. Which young guys step up? Ravens need Judon, Z Smith, Young,Dixon Moore, Correa, Perriman to start making plays

3. Who wins in the trenches? This could determine the outcome of the game. The offensive line has it work cut out and the defense needs to watch Geno and Forte running the ball.

4. Will the Ravens play smart or continue to beat themselves? Dumb coaching decisions and penalties have killed the Ravens

5. QB play. Joe needs to out play Geno no matter who's injured. At some point Joe has to be a factor in winning games instead of a guy the flock provides excuses. His play has been average and the Ravens are 3-3. The Ravens will go as far as he takes them.

And Joe will go as far as they'll take him, they need to stop not making the plays when Joe sets them up.

Who has the $120M contract? To whom much is given much is expected!

Joe Flacco ranks 24th among current NFL starting QBs. How much more badly can he play? We are trying to tell you that he has been the weak link this season. He needs to raise his game to catch up to the rest of the team.

Do you realize that the QB position is the least athletically and physically demanding position in football?

I've seen perfect passes dropped. It's not all about the stats. Joe might be off so far this year for whatever reason but it's not entirely his fault. Some yes but not all. If you want revolving QB's I suggest you find another team to root for. Flacco is the starter. Deal with it.

Numbers don't lie and Flacco doesn't pass the eye test. If he doesn't play better he is going to be benched and you are going to then stop rooting for the Ravens.

Since 2012 Flacco has 65 TDs 50 Ints. In 2014 with Kubiak he had 27 TDs and 12 Ints. So if you disregard 2014, he has 38 TDs and 38 Ints. So his bad play is not just this year "for whatever reason" as you like to say. He is not living up to his huge contract. I guarantee you that if Flacco plays better we will be perennial super bowl contenders.

Least physically demanding? Joe can't wear alot of pads and is Usally in a vulnerable position when throwing. Try getting slammed by 300 pounders. Check the injury list ,looks just like last years.

We have to find a way to protect Joe in the pocket. The jets will bring 5 and 6 almost every play. Stop the blitz, we win.

Prove me wrong. Go Ravens and Maalox !

I'm "dealing with it" as much as all the others are- in their own way, on this site.
For those who like the way things are (having a starting qb who is not "leading" this team and who is grossly overpaid) or see things in rose colored glasses- enjoy the teams sub-mediocrity (for many reasons).

What I want to watch is how many penalties we have this game. The fact that we have so many is proof the players are not respecting the coaching staff or the game plan. They are just out doing their own thing, despite what the coaches have to say. No respect for the head coach in the locker room! It's this type of stuff that gets a yeah coach fired in the NFL!
