Here's an interesting tidbit.

Could be in line to play Sunday if indeed true. Who gets demoted? Buck perhaps?

Edit*  More Roster shakeups. Cb Robertson brought up to active roster. Kendrick lewis placed on IR and Dan Brown waived. http://nfltraderumors.co/ravens-promote-cb-robertson-daniel-active-roster-place-s-kendrick-lewis-r/

Interesting that we're going to carry 4 RBs when we still have tons of injured players.  Makes sense to drop Daniel Brown for now, bit figured we might have wanted depth somewhere else other than RB.

Daniel makes sense.  I think Asa Jackson made sense if Hester couldn't go, but since he is, Daniel is a better fit at outside CB if we need him.  With Lewis to IR, it looks like we'll be seeing Elam back from IR in a couple of weeks, since the depth at S is now seriously lacking.

Yeah I expect them to bring Elam back from IR as well. Maybe this will mean the end for Lewis here as I don't see them paying him 1.8m next season

Taliaferro will play mostly on special teams.

I wonder if they'll give him a shot at some short yardage plays?  Or at least put him in there to give the defense a different look.

I think he'll definitely play on teams, iirc he was pretty good when healthy. I think he'll probably get 5-10 carries. The Ravens really like LT and would probably be the starter right now if he stayed healthy.

Did not see the Taliaferro move coming at all. Thought for sure they were just going to keep him on PUP as long as possible and then hope he makes the PS. I wonder if they'll actually use him at RB.

I don't know anything about the CB we activated, but Kendrick Lewis is absolutely terrible (very late on every play), so I'm perfectly fine with giving anyone else a chance at any position. Levine seems to be the 3rd best safety on the team anyway.

LOL don't insult Levine by saying he's the 3rd best safety. He may take offense after watching Webb play this year.

Yeah I'm guessing Buck will be the odd man out at RB and be inactive since he doesn't contribute to special teams. I guess it could be Dixon but I wouldnt like that move. The move with LT def caught me offguard- I was expecting them to wait another week or two- but I guess they like what they saw and he was ready. Excited to see him in some goal line/ short yardage situations. Def agree about Elam. Lewis to IR makes that almost a no brainer. I'm actually more excited about seeing Elam out there than Webb. I know a lot of ppl have given up on the kid but I think he may have finally turned a curve. Don't know anything about Robertson- hopefully he will be a nice addition and  surprise us & make some plays. ASA would've been iffy- he's boom or bust as a returner but I'd rather him never see the feild on defense. Huge liability.

Not sure how Buck who has averaged 4.4 yards a carry becomes an odd man out. Tali is added mostly for special teams, but I don't think we should be surprised to see him in the backfield to see how he holds up in pass protection. If he blocks well and runs well he could find himself in a good position.

So your sayin Dixon will be inactive then?

With all our injuries-not sure that will happen this game. I expect the following inactives:

Doom

Sizzle

Mosley

Yanda

Wright

Steve Smith

Henry

No, I'm saying we carry 4 running backs this week.

I guess its possible. Rare occurrence to carry 4 active rbs  that are all healthy though.

I've been impressed with Buck since he's been active but I guess the coaches don't see it the same way because he only had 2 offensive snaps vs the Giants while Dixon was the clear backup even though he only had 10 snaps. So if Buck only got 2 snap last week, I could see how he'd be the odd man out if Tali is active.

Why would they give Taliaferro short yardage plays when West has been playing the way he has been?

Overall West has done a great job, but short yardage situations haven't been his or the Ravens strong point...might be good to give Tali a couple looks there.

I'm also puzzled by the move.  I don't think this can be just a ST move, because I think Brown might give you as much or more there.  Could be Taliaferro will return kickoffs, but that is a small context of responsibility.  They also weren't forced to make a decision on T34 yet, and this simply accelerates it.  Perhaps LT has shown quite a bit in practice and they like having him for short yardage, but it does seem like a big luxury given the team's other needs.

Definitely surprising to say the least.  LT must have showed ALOT in his short time back to warrant this move.

The Daniel Brown era has ended, at least for now, according to Rand Getlin.

"I'm told TE Daniel Brown has been claimed by the #Bears. He was waived on Saturday by the #Ravens."

Another one I had high hopes for. :(
