Blame Tomlin: Steelers had chances to beat Patriots without Big Ben, Cam Heyward

The Pittsburgh Steelers faced an early 14-point deficit to the prohibitive Super Bowl favorites, and they were attempting to come back without arguably their most indispensable players on either side of the ball. So you can understand how they’d lose at home to the New England Patriots, 27-16.

But those are mere facts, and as the Talking Heads told us all those years ago, facts are never what they seem to be. The Steelers had ample chances to win this game, and they’ve potentially cost themselves a key conference tiebreaker come playoff time.

The doubter might read this statement and scoff. Did you see how many interceptable passes Landry Jones got away with? Point taken. But the Steelers shifted momentum in this game in the first half and had the Patriots on the ropes — more than once.

Comon man!!! Mike Tomlin is one of those best coaches in NFL. John Harbaugh is better than Mike Tomlin. The thing is the Steelers are just an ordinary team without Big Ben playing. And besides you're playing Brady and Beilcheats Pats.

Hawks division games always are so boring

I know right, after one half either team can only score 3 points? I know we can say low scores are because of good defenses but let's face it, the product on the field is terrible these days.

Seahawks defense is really good. Too bad their O-line is terrible or this would be a blow out

Pretty solid chance this ends in a tie although one of the defenses could make a play.

I honestly think that will happen, I don't see either team scoring before the end of the fourth or in OT.

Stop with the damn flags!!!!! I know holding is holding but still. The NFL has got to work with the teams to allow some degree of holding since holding is basically done every play.

Well.... now we are tied at 6 with 6:42 remaining. Both teams scored a FG, meaning next score wins. Which basically means, this will end in a tie.

MY GOODNESS! Both Kickers missed chip shots to win the game and with 7 seconds left, Palmer finds Fitzgerald who gets out with 2 seconds left.

Tucker should have played this one on franchise tag, look for payout next March.

He would have been the first $100M Kicker at this rate lol. I needed a good laugh after our game today and Arizona/Seattle provided that for me.

I honestly think the NFL has slowed down a lot this year. Something isn't quite the same and the viewing is down as well. A lot of teams just don't look good, either. I think concerns about the NFL's longevity may actually be founded, which is not something I once believed.

The last NFL Tied Game was October 12th, 2014 between the Panthers and Bengals as they ended in a 37-37 tie. Since the introduction of Overtime, tonight's Seahawks/Cardinals 6-6 tie was the lowest scoring tie in NFL History. Since 2012, the NFL has experienced 4 tied games during the regular season, 2015 there was not a single game that ended in a tie. Twice during that period, tied games have involved 2 NFC West Rivals. Tonight was the second, as the last tie involving NFC West teams was 2012, between 49ers and then St. Louis Rams.
