2016 Week 7 Other Games Discussion

98 posts in this topic

We are almost to the half way point of the 2016 NFL Season and what a season it has been. Who would have thought the Panthers would sink as far as 1-5 without Josh Norman. Remember when everyone thought Kirk Cousins was just a one year flier, well he along with Josh Norman have the Redskins at 4-2. Who would have thought that a sack in the preseason by Cliff Avril on Tony Romo would have sparked Dak Mania in Dallas? Or that the Minnesota Vikings would be 5-0 without Bridgewater and AP, and a season saving trade of Sam Bradford made them the best team in the NFC?

Bears @ Packers: Thursday Night Football goes to Green Bay where the Bears look to once again knock off the Green Bay Packers in Lambeau. Packers are coming off a tough loss to Dak Prescott and the Cowboys, needing a win this week as they are 1-1 in division games this year and improve to 4-2 to stay in pace with the Vikings.

Giants @ Rams: All Day Football is back as we kick off in London at 9:30a.m with the Giants playing the Rams. Both teams sit 3-3 with their respective divisions being open to anyone to win. Rams look to snap a 2 game losing streak while the Giants look to win their second straight game.

Vikings @ Eagles: The Sam Bradford Bowl. Both teams have benefited from the trade as the Eagles started red hot and the Vikings remain the only undefeated team in the NFL. The Eagles have lost their last two games after starting 3-0 and it looks like they may fall to 3-3 against a tough Vikings defense.

Patriots @ Steelers: While we wish both teams could lose this one, it's safe to say without Ben the Steelers are toast. Patriots look to improve to 5-1 in what is a very competitive AFC this year. For the Steelers, they will now be without him for 4-6 weeks. Will this be what kills the playoff hopes of the Steelers?

Browns @ Bengals: Cavs won the NBA Championship, the Indians are heading to the World Series and the Browns.......at least Cleveland has NBA Preseason Games. The Bengals are playing sub par sitting at 2-4 so both of Ohio's NFL teams are bad. Surprisingly the Browns have been competitive with the exception of the New England game, but the Bengals are still the regular season Bengals.

Saints @ Chiefs: The AFC West is one of the more compelling divisions in 2016 and the NFC South is... meh. At 3-2, a win and losses by both Oakland and Denver, will see KC sit atop the AFC West through seven weeks. The Saints meanwhile look to improve to 3-3 and to make a run for a NFC Playoff spot after a slow start.

Redskins @ Lions: The Redskins have won four straight after starting out 0-2 and look to keep the momentum going against the Lions. Redskins are coming on strong and need a win to keep up with the Cowboys who are on a BYE this week. The Lions have won two straight as Jim Caldwell remains on the hot seat and is looking to secure his job going forward.

Raiders @ Jaguars: The Raiders are 3-0 on the road, while the Jaguars are 1-2 at home and attempt to be competitive in the bad AFC South. The Jaguars and Raiders came into the season with high expectations and only the Raiders have fulfilled their expectations. Gus Bradley is another where he could be fired after week 7 if the Raiders come to town and win.

Colts @ Titans: Through six weeks, the AFC South once again shows why they are the worst division in the NFL. Also through six weeks, no Head Coach has been fired yet. Jim Irsay said that he has "full confidence" in Chuck Pagano(and Ryan Grigson) which means, a potential third straight divisional loss could mean the end of Chuck Pagano in Indianapolis. The Titans meanwhile are steadily improving and if they can keep up with Houston, may have a shot at winning the division.

Bills @ Dolphins: The Buffalo Bills have moved themselves into the playoff picture after firing Greg Roman. The Dolphins are coming off a huge upset against the Steelers as they look to turn their season around. A win would keep them neck and neck with the Patriots as it seems the Bills are ready to provide New England competition for that AFC East Title.

Buccaneers @ 49ers: Chip Kelly made a change at QB to Colin Kaepernick and still nothing. The Bucs come to Santa Clara looking to improve to 3-3 on the year and stay in pace with the Atlanta Falcons, who they already have beaten. With a QB change already done, a GM on the hot seat, have to wonder if a losing season will spark a Head Coaching Change for the 49ers.

Chargers @ Falcons: The Falcons suffered a tough road loss to Seattle and look to rebound against a Chargers team who finally was able to close out a game and win. Bad news is that since Joey Bosa has started playing, the Chargers defense has gotten better and the team has gotten better because of it. This is a game that could go either way.

Seahawks @ Cardinals: Well at least this isn't Colts vs Texans. Sunday Night Football features two NFC West teams looking to lay claim to the top of the division. Cardinals have rebounded nicely since their struggles early in the season and so has Seattle. Look for this game to be a factor in who wins the division and who gets into the playoffs as the 5th or 6th seed.

Texans @ Broncos: Say what you will about Osweiler but through 6 weeks in 2015, the Texans were 2-4. Through six weeks in 2016, Osweiler has the Texans sitting at 4-2 atop the AFC South. The Broncos look to halt the momentum of their former QB while Brock looks to make Elway regret letting him walk by leaving Mile High with a win on Monday Night Football.

For some reason, I think the BenGals are going to lose to the Browns this week. Hue Jackson might be able to pull it off.

Steelers lose to NE. The AFC North will be tight.

I'd love if Hue could pull it off. The Bengals have been kinda vanilla on offense so I guess it's possible.

That would be so sweet. I'd lmao if the Bungles would lose to the O-for Browns.

Unfortunately, I don't trust the Browns defense either.

It's very, very difficult for me to ever root for Br*dy but, this week I will be singing his praises. I hope he beats the snot out of those yellow towel waving fools to the northwest. Hope they put their rags to a better use and spend the day crying in them.

The Pats absolutely don't want to see us in playoff, but they also need this win against the Steelers to keep their top in the division when the Buffalo shooting right on their tails...I'd say the Pats will humiliate the Steelers on national TV, which Ravens fans will be craving for...lol

I think Hue Jackson will pull biggest upset against the Bungals..

Seahawks vs Cardinals will be a good game....I think the Seahawks will edge out this game...

I think the cards still stink even at home, seahawks in a tight one. I think vikings with being fresh from the bye will nullify philly and pats should win.

Lol well with the steelers defense and landry jones at the helm I think it should be pretty simple.

If the Browns don't win this week or the following week against the Jets, they are going 0-16. These next two weeks provide their best chance to avoid 0-16. Their remaining schedule is the Bengals twice, Jets, Giants, Cowboys, Ravens, Steelers twice, Bills and Chargers.

I saw that McCown was practicing this week. Maybe he'll be able to go this week. That would help the Browns chances.

A key team on that schedule, the Ravens. Lol playing a winless Browns team scares me.

Yikes, that means the Bears would turn to Matt Barkley if Hoyer can't go. Is Cutler getting healthy enough to return yet?

Hoyer has a left arm injury and will not return. So that means Matt Barkley will remain the starting QB for the Bears. The fact that this is only a 3-0 game with the Bears now in Packers territory, might as well give Minnesota the division tonight if the Packers can't beat a third string QB.

Rodgers loses the ball, and the Bears recover for a TD! Bears now lead 10-6.

Judging by me being the only one here, Thursday Night Football needs to go lol.

Wow! Rodgers and the Packers offense is looking BAD this year!  Can't believe the Bears are up after that fumble! (Although I still expect Bears to lose the game)

It's interesting watching the Packers this year.  Their WRs can't get open, their OL is shaky, and because of it Rodgers looks like he regressed.  Sound familiar?  Wonder if Packers fans want to run Rodgers out of town?

Wait, are you trying to say Rodgers NEEDS the other 10 guys on offense to do their job better?? Are you insane?????

Yep.  Even the commentators are looking at the game tonight saying that people want to blame Rodgers for the offensive struggles, but no one is getting open or making plays.  It's not excuses, it's facts.

I was being sarcastic with you man. Lol, it doesn't matter who the QB is, EVERYONE ELSE needs to their job. Cobb and Adams are just......aight. Nothing special about them at all.

Well, Packers are pulling away and whatever was wrong with the Pack offense is fixed. Packers now lead 20-10.

I knew you were being sarcastic.  I would still take their WRs over our WRs.

I think it's more of when WRs are on the same page of the QB, you will see that results....of course, it has to do with better play calling....
