I'm confused though didn't he practice yesterday? I think mondays they usually get the day off but he should've practiced yesterday correct? So i wonder if he was experiencing soreness then or did something occur yesterday maybe

They don't really practice on Tuesday.  It's more meetings.  That's why the injury reports don't come out until Wednesday.

Yea, sounds like he got an MRI on Monday... yesterday was mainly meetings which he attended - prob got the results sometime late yesterday or early today; and with the soreness just decided to keep him out of practice today to rest.

Joe made it sound like hes definitely playing Sunday though.

That might help explain his uncharacteristic misses on the final drive.

I'm sure the injury affected him against the Giants, but we have to remember that Joe really hasn't looked good all season. He's been missing some really easy throws.

Irritation in the joint of his throwing shoulder is concerning. It could just be a minor thing, or it could be a little more serious like an AC sprain.

I'm sure he'd be in a sling if it was something like an AC sprain. I think it's probably just some swelling.

Not to mention, he had an MRI, so if it was more serious, they'd already know. He good. Brady had a shoulder injury for a decade.

Nah, pitchers in baseball throw it 2-3 times that amount, twice a week. And that's far harder on your arm than passing a football.

This is a testament to the O line

Actually the front office. Look at the whiffs and flat out failure to address the O line through the draft during Joe's tenure.

I'm racking my memory, has he ever had a really good o-line?

LOL, well he keeps signing large extensions and has had guaranteed employment for the last 9 years plus at least two more years after this one, so kind of hard to argue the "career destruction" path has been taken.

Yeah, him collecting those really large paychecks is really ruining his life.

It was just a matter of time until he got hurt in some way. I think this shoulder is probably a cumulative injury from getting blasted the past 3 weeks.

I have no doubts that he will play this week, just hope we can somehow give better protection.

All reports made it sound like there was some soreness/tightness in the joint but it even sounds like he expects to play.

Joe has never had a top notch offensive line .

Not in his entire career .

There was that 4 game stretch when Fat McKinnie got his ish together and helped us win a SB.

I don't know. The awkward motions they undergo while throwing some of those pitches probably is on par with it. But that's more their elbows than their shoulders.

I'd have no issue sitting him a week If our oline is patched together again.  Anyone have any stats on sacks/hits/hurries compared to the rest of the league ?

I agree that they've whiffed, but I'll at least point out that they have ATTEMPTED to give Joe help there.

In the 9 years Joe has been in the league, they have drafted 12 offensive lineman, including 6 in the last 4 years since he signed his big deal in 2013.

2 first rounders

1 second rounder

1 third rounder

4 fourth rounders

2 fifth rounders

2 sixth rounders

So basically, on average, they do use a first or second day pick on an offensive lineman in every other year, which I'd say is generally pretty good.

There's some bad names on that list though. David Hale, Ramon Harewood, Jah Reid, Gino Gradkowski, Robert Myers were all "busts" for us.

Plus they did do the trade for Monroe and signed McKinnie, so they've made some FA attempts as well.

Eh, let him rest. We can beat the Jets with Mallett.

So, we lose to the Raiders and Redskins at home with Joe...and then we lose to the Giants on the road with Joe.  But for some odd reason you believe that we can be the Jets...on the road...without Joe? LOL!!!

I have zero confidence in us beating any team with Mallett. I only have mild confidence in us beating the Jets with Flacco.

We aren't the kind of team or fanbase who should be confident about beating any team in the league right now.

Agree 100%

I've said it after game 3 that the way these Ravens are playing, the offense's atrocious game play in particular; that it would catch up to them and it clearly has.

Yeah, throw a few dozen curveballs and see how you're feeling...pitching doesn't look like much, at least until you tear your rotator cuff or something

Yes , that was probably the best stretch of good offensive line play Ive ever seen with Joe under center.

The results were amazing: 11td's no picks I believe .Correct me If Im wrong.

Pitchers aren't taking the massive hits that Joe has been. Our O-Line needs to do a better job protecting him.

I'm confused...the 6th overall pick and a 4th round pick isn't addressing the o line?

Stanley and lewis will be big time additions to the line with yanda and Wagner. You have to allow some time for these things to take fruition.

Huh? Since Flacco has been here, we've spent two 1st round picks on LTs, drafted Gaither, Wagner, KO, signed Matt Birk and Zuttah, traded for Monroe. The year right before Flacco we drafted Yanda and Grubbs. Where do you guys come up with this stuff :/

Could explain the overthrow to Wallace ...?

What overthrow? You mean when Joe went for the kill with the endzone shot and Wallace though he would play it safe so he stayed for the short pass?
