Big Ben didn't come up as a backup. Tommy Maddox got injured Big Ben led the steelers to a 15-1 record as a rookie. 

 

If you had said Steve McNair and Aaron Rodgers then you would have named 2 Qbs that sat multiple years before starting.

No reason. Everyone knows he's testing the market this offseason. Someone may decide they don't want a bidding war on a NT contract and give up a draft pick instead but it's extremely unlikely.

Highly doubt it for 2 reasons:

1) We still have a shot at the playoffs, so you don't trade away one of your best players.

2) The offer would have to be HUGE given reason #1 plus we would probably receive a decent compensatory pick if he leaves in free agency.

Holy hell, where to start?  You want to trade our starting QB for a player in college, who hasnt done anything?  You accumulate picks to pick players you decide on throughout the year and after, not during, deciding this early on a player is just foolish.

While CJ is not Ray Lewis, hes damn good and still young, but who is the next Ray Lewis? Players like that dont come along easily, you dont replace a Barry Sanders, Payton, LT and LT, do you really think you lose a HoFer and just go find another, if thats the case where all the superstars that replaced the names above and many more.  Yea you have some exceptions: Rodgers to Favre, Luck to Manning, Young to Montana, etc..

Actually, i wouldnt say he was playing very good to be honest, or good at all.  A 59% with 17 TDs to 17 TOs in his last year full year before getting hurt....yea i dont know what thats going to win you.  The year before he threw 19TDs to 24TOs....good god.  A record of 13-19 in two years. Ouch.

Yes I watched the video. First of all Harris highlights makes every player look like a first ballot hall of famer. Second, what about him is anything like Peyton manning? Because he's scrambling? That makes sense... Third, he's a spread and read option qb and has done nothing but run and throw fly routes. Honestly if you wanna compare him to someone compare him to flacco who looked similar in college. Difference is flacco is an established veteran qb in the NFL and Russell is a college qb
