What happens first? Harbaugh or Perriman

31 posts in this topic

So, I just had a conversation with a disgruntled Ravens fan. Here was the question proposed:

What happens first: John Harbaugh gets fired or Breshad Perriman's stat line reads, 5 catches 100 yards and 1 TD?

Let the debate begin!

It's obvious that the receivers aren't the problem this year.  How the heck did Flacco overthrow a wide open Wallace on what could have been the deciding drive of Sunday's game?

Well, among other issues with the receiving core (of which there are many), they have 10 dropped passes this year according to Sporting Charts. Its a roughly 4% drop rate, which isn't horrendous, but not overly good either. I can think of at least 2 drops that came in very crucial situations as well.

You have a strange definition of "obvious". Really not appropriate for this thread, a million others you could have posted this in.

I'm pretty sure that the Giants seemed to drop a lot more passes in the first half of the game.  Given opportunities, the Ravens can't seem to win.  Luckily, we play the Jets and the Browns, so we will at least get to 5 wins again.

On the positive side, I think that Perriman is healthy enough to have a 100 yard game with a TD.  I don't think that they will fire Harbaugh until the season is over.  So I vote Perriman.

If Harbaugh goes, he'll get another head coaching job somewhere else, perhaps Cleveland where he can't to get revenge on us.

The only way Harbaugh goes is if he has a second consecutive losing season. I suspect it won't just be Harbaugh though... Ozzie is at risk as well. He may not be fired but will be forced to resign. However, I won't put it past Bisciotti to continue with Harbaugh and give him a chance to prove himself through 2017. He is after all a big believer in continuity. I guess the question becomes what kind of continuity does he desire if we continue to lose games under Harbs?

If I'm a betting man, I would say Harbs survives this season for 2 reasons. One I think the Ravens will win a few more games than last season and two, Bisciotti will give him the benefit of doubt. Unless of course there is an open mutiny from players and Harbs loses the locker room, then he will be fired.

A win versus the Jets happens first.

I think Perriman will get his first touchdown in the next game or two as they began to take more shots down field.

-people forget that he & Flacco had literally no offseason reps together, and that Perriman was already a work in progress at the position before sitting out a full year injured.

The only way Harbaugh would get fired is if the Ravens finished the season 3-13 with a healthy Flacco, which would mean they lose 13 straight. I mean if the team lost 13 straight games it would be clear indication that something isn't working and at that point I think Biscotti evaluates both Ozzie & Harbaugh.

But this is a doomsday scenario, that I don't see happening at all!

I would love it if Perriman got his first TD's against Pittsburgh.

I'd be pissed if it took him HALF the season to get a touchdown...

His first touchdown will be like a 40 yard touchdown and it will be his only catch of the game since he's a one trick pony

Well there is only one more game between now and then so it will be close no matter what.

every coach has a expiration date on his wrapper some are like strawberrys and go soon. some are like pumkins and hang around a long time even when they go flat and mushy some are like sour cream in your fridge its already gone bad and even in bad shape you can keep em forever!  just skim the green off the top and your good to go.  how many coaches have are 10 years in?  count em up, not that many.  Harb is like sour cream, even when hes bad hes good

Don't know why this is getting down voted. Any game where Perriman has done ANYTHING usually consists of him catching one good pass and then almost disappearing, catching 1 or two balls after for minimal yardage. Saw it in the Bill's game and we saw it last week.

I've had it with the Flacco overthrow Wallace talk, does anyone know what a miscommunication issue is? At least complain about the right thing, I'm annoyed they couldn't get on the right page, that Flacco wanted Wallace to run upfield and Wallace wanted a back shoulder.

Get mad at Flacco for overthrowing Dixon and Pitta in the end zone earlier in the game.

They don't like realistic. They want to hear  "Oh Rice struggled as a rookie too maybe he's the next Rice."

If Harbaugh gets fired...no team will take him... Why would they?

He will end up like his brother and going to a head coaching job for a college team and

after a few losing seasons there will be terminated....

If John Harbaugh were fired he would easily get another NFL head coaching job. He is a super bowl winning coach with a winning record in the regular season and postseason.
