Someone please tell me how Suggs is not being held. Lewis was called for holding when he had the exact position on the defender. That cost the Ravens a first down!

They held all day long.... Funny how that happens... just never got called the way it did for the Ravens.

The refs turn a blind eye on penalties done to our team. What else is new? This has been going on for as long as I can remember. It even caused a loss of a game last season if I recall correctly. The amount of penalties throughout the league is just ridiculous. The game has no continuity or flow to it any more.

Its about time big Ryan Jensen gets a little love. The guy brings some much needed nastiness to the o-line and creates running lanes every time he's on the field. He just needs to sure up his pass protection.

I always thought Jensen was good. Had him making my 53 man roster when we started that discussion before the season started. He's been extremely solid when he's gotten the chance to play.

want see flacco pump fake more

Pump faking calls for time, something he hasn't had a lot of. He's already getting killed behind our makeshift of a makeshift line.

The disparity of calls against the Ravens and other teams is pretty significant. Off sides and illegal formations are one thing. But the amount of holding calls needs to be consistent for both teams. It can't be the Ravens are the only team holding on the O-line.

The Ravens even got some questionable calls in their favor this game and it still didn't matter. What was the end count, 15 penalties to 5?

You know what I missed in this game? The Ravens playing well.

Jimmy Smith is the glue that holds the secondary together even with him being a little questionable on that repaired foot of his. Now he's got a concussion and don't know how long it will take for him to get back. Hopefully not long, but I don't want him rushing back and getting knocked out again.

The secondary looked lost without him. Hopefully if he can't go the pieces that need to step up will get some much needed extra practice time and some gelling time by playing together. With Decker being out the Ravens can focus mainly on Marshall.

Ryan Jensen has been making plays and playing till the end of the whistle. I said it many times before. I really wish I could be an advisor for this team. I just have an eye for talent and I'm very observant. And I don't say that in a bragging, fantasy way, I just want to help the team out.

What we missed?? How ironic.....what we missed is the logical reason why Flacco is getting paid $120,000,000 to throw check down passes to the FB 80 times a game, I could have done that.

Yeah. It was no surprise Ryan Jensen plays well in run blocking aka road paving. He has always excelled in this area of his game.

This is what I've been screaming Joe would fake out the cameraman! He isn't getting creative at all just drop back and throw and that's it! My profile is getting alot of attention j guess because I got issues with Joe! Wow the Ravens are my Pride and Joy but someone got issues with me! I will say what they want to hear so I won't get banned for life! The line did a good job to me the Ravens just became predictable again running on 1st and 2nd down because of West good runs but you cannot rely on that in the middle of a game while the other team is passing on 1st and 2nd down! What I'm missing is the Gunslinger the one that grew a Mustache and had swag! That's what I'm missing!

Here's what I noticed.  On the pass play, even though Joe got the pass off, the Giants were able to bring pressure from the outside rushing only 4 by lining up their DE's especially wide and getting a straighter path to the QB because Joe was in the gun.  Just so happened Jensen was able to get out and help Hurst.  There were many more example.

The run play was assisted in its success by having the QB start under center and running north/south - no pitch outs or handoffs from the shotgun.  After a few runs like that, Joe could bootleg with play action and have 5 seconds to find receivers who would find it much easier to get open as DBs and LBs would be cheating up and looking in the backfield for West.  For no reason whatsoever, the Ravens nearly abandoned this midway through the second quarter in a close game but with a lead and momentum.  Clearly our makeshift O-Line was built to run the rock!

He could change cadence to draw the defense offside; that would slow them down. But our guys would probably jump offside first.

Right now the only loss that hurts us is the Raiders bc they are an AFC team and it may come down to a tie breaker or record come January. The 2 L's against the NFC while they are scars on the record they won't have such an impact unless we continue to stack the L's and not the W's. This is a pivotal game against the Jets and I have a feeling this game will mean more to our season than we realize. Win keep hope alive, lose and the road to the playoff's get even harder... let's see what team goes back to the Meadowlands...

Most unimpressive one yet lmao. What we really missed was our starters and old mantra of winning games

LMAO!! Yes, well said! We definitely miss our starters more than anything in these games!!!

The question you have to ask is why are we being held to just check downs??? Maybe it's because opposing defenses game plan against taking the deep bomb away and play cover 2 with safety over top. You would think our OC would say ok, let's run some WR screens, let's run some quick slants and crossing patterns but instead Joe's sitting back there waiting for Perriman and Wallace to get 40 yards downfield and by the time he gets to his 3rd step he's got pressure so he just dumps it off to his check downs.

Everybody complaining about Suggs being held, there are ways to get them to stop and I wasn't seeing Suggs do anything to get out of that. Arm swipes, jabs to the armpits always work well in getting the arm to go limp and num. He was dancing around with the guy setting the edge like he should and forcing the run to the middle of the line.

Where is our front 3 line men? Where is the push from them? I haven't heard Williams' name, Guys name - hell haven't heard anybody's name really.

Two totally different defenses against these NFC teams than when they've played AFC teams. Two different coaching styles during these games as well. There is a method to their madness and it's been this way since Harbs has been the HC.

Can't tell which receiver that was trying to block for West but WOW that was horrible!! West could have broke to the outside had the receiver done a better job!!! Fundamental football is not being played by the Ravens and it shows!!

Good God.  The writers shouldn't waste their time when we lose.  Just another opportunity to start yet another BP&M thread.....

i would take another look at that. The receiver doesn't know where T West is going while the defender is staring right at him. When the guy your blocking for is in front of you there isn't much you can do to spring them.

Let's face it, the Ravens just aren't that good. From the FO who has blown I don't know how many drafts in a row, to the HC who has lost the last 3 games by being aggressive and making poor decisions, and the players that drop passes, can't get separation, can't tackle, can't pass the ball, can't block, can't do anything productive. We just are not a good team. From top to bottom we need to change how we do things. Maybe we should give up some draft picks (that we end up cutting anyway) and move up and grab playmakers in the draft. Or maybe take some of those draft picks (we end up cutting anyway) and trading for a CB that can actually cover or a WR who can actually catch. Maybe we should stop being so aggressive seeing as how it has cost us 3 games in a row and a 6-0 record. Maybe we should light a fire under our QB and DEMAND that in the last 2 minutes he actually runs to the line to get a play off or DEMAND that he looks at the play clock so as to not lose 5 yards on the final drive. There are so many things that need changed on this team that it isn't even funny anymore. We have made a major decline and Bisciotti needs to start demanding change because apparently those people in charge right now can't see the forest for the trees. Based on what they say they actually think they are on the right track. A losing record since the super bowl says otherwise.

Look at Jensen beasting it out there. This just brings up another question. When we had 4 opportunities at the goal line, how come we ran it to the left side all 4 plays? Jensen obviously broke the long run for West and the dude just road grades but we never tried to run behind him at the goal. Makes no sense unless it was because Wurst was next to him.
