More Kenneth Dixon

He has been back for 2 games and his touches have been really low. Anybody else want to see more? Maybe some plays that get him into space? Somebody has to be a playmaker around here.

He'll get his chances at some point.  Right now, he's still working his way back from his injury.  In the first game you could clearly see it was still affecting him, but he looked better against the Giants.  Second, Terrance West is playing great football right now.  Dixon will get his touches at some point, but right now, you're going to ride the hot hand.

Agreed.  West is hot right now, so you have to ride him.  Also, most rookies struggle with pass protection (no, I haven't analyzed this to know if this is true for Dixon)  Definitely need all the pass protection we can get right now with our offensive line banged up.

Really want him to be that 3rd down back instead of Juice but unfortunately our oline is not 100% smh.

West is definitely playing well don't get me wrong. Based upon what I saw in preseason though Dixon has more home run potential

And Dixon will get his chances.  It's not like he'll be riding the pine all year.  The plan all along was to work his way back in.  He'll get there, but right now, there's no need to stop West's momentum.

Right now with the way West is playing (even though I am a huge Dixon fan) you keep playing West until West struggles in a game. Then you bring Dixon in. West has been underrated the last couple weeks for us and I am excited for what he can do. To me he looks better than Forsett did in his 1200 yard season.

I don't really care who carries the rock as long as we fix the short yardage issues.......ridiculous we couldn't get a half yard!!!!

More of an o-line issue than running back issue.... Terrance West dove over several players and still couldn't make it from one yard out. The offensive line has been badddd.

After the first 3 weeks, I don't think anyone expected West to be playing as well as he is right now. With West being pretty reliable getting ~25 touches per game, I'm fine with Dixon as just a change-of-pace back for now.

I have to say, Dixon was getting super unlucky with the snaps he got vs Washington, since the OL seemed to completely fail him on every touch lol. And then when he was used at NY it seemed to be on failed screens half the time lol, though he did look good when he finally got some consecutive touches on that one drive.

Dixon is a rookie coming off an injury while West is looking good, have no issues waiting to see what develops

I'm off the Dixon bandwagon, he's got the injury bug and on gameday the best ability is availability.

Way to early to say Dixon has the injury bug.  Campanaro, yes.  Dixon--let's wait and see.

I felt the same way lmao I saw this in the preseason too it looks like the offensive line sometimes just decides not to do their job when he is on the field... I still think he is getting used to NFL speed we need to get him out there on passing situations... Ease him in like the Cardinals did with David Johnson last year. If he proves he can play on passing downs give him more snaps. Until then West is playing like a monster. His vision and agility are off the charts compared to where he used to be a year ago. His cutbacks have left linebackers missing a lot. I don't remember so many 20+ yard runs in the few games we have had with him since Ray Rice. Theres no wonder why the offense did a million times better last week with a new OC and injured o-line. We have been able to run the ball very effectively and it needs to continue. If West runs at 4 yards a carry he should be getting at least 25 touches a game. It covered up a lot of our spotty passing game with Steve Smith out it opened up some of those routes we didn't have the previous weeks.

Sad no one picked up the blitz on the play but, if Joe had 1-2 seconds more on that overthrow out of the end zone to Pitta, Dixon broke free, uncovered down the sideline. Would have been a sure score.

I'm high on Dixon and have been well before the draft. That being said, it would be difficult to reason taking touches away from West. I know that I've been talking him up his flashes last season, but he honestly looks like a Top-10/12 talent at running back. He reminds me a bit of Carlos Hyde as far as his vision and ability to churn out extra yards go. There is the question as to whether West is out-playing his capabilities, but he was considered as a prospect with starting talent when leaving college; therefore, he could just simply be a slightly late bloomer, meaning there isn't a big discrepancy between West and Dixon on the talent level. It would be nice to see Dixon involved in the passing game where he's arguably better than West. I just wouldn't force it personally, at least while West continues to produce the way he has.

He's been back for 2 games, let him get his feet back under him, meanwhile West is playing stellar, so having Dixon step up isn't an automatic necessity like the first few weeks. Ultimately Dixon will see more PT and I think he will definitely become a factor in the passing game very soon.

Yeah I'd like to see West get 20+ touches when he's running well. Especially in these tightly contested games where the o-line is struggling for stretches in pass protection.

The last few weeks I felt like a lot of runs were left on table and instead traded in for failed TE screens or screens in general which haven't been too good.

He missed some games with knee and ankle injuries before we drafted him, and now he can't stay healthy. It is what it is.

Sure, usually players stay healthy when they have Ngata and Ansah falling on their knees... The fact that it ended up just a sprain is a miracle.

Dixon is working himself back into game shape, refamiliarizing himself with the playbook, and transitioning to the NFL all while West has the hot hand.

When you have 3 rbs you go with the hot hand because in this day and age it's really tough to get a RB who can consistently churn out yards, and rbs need a rhythm to play at max efficiency, so swapping backs all the time is often counterproductive.

Even if Dixon does nothing special all year I'm fine with it as long as West is lighting it up. If it ain't broke don't fix it.

All I want to see is for our run game to continue to avg at least 4.3 YPC, with an occasional big run. Right now, West is holding it down and doing everything we need him to do.

Given the state of our OL right now, a power back like West is probably our best choice anyway. If we start consistenly opening nice holes, then I'd like to see Dixon in more; I think he'll be a bigger threat the more open space there is.

Dixon right now just sits back and learns from the vet, West with hot hands....

I'm sure he'll have some playing times for the rotation to keep West fresh, but nobody in the backfield right now can take the ball away from West.....
