Is anybody here into it ? which team do you root for ? I've started watching closely this season and it feels great, the Caps are playing awesome and Ovechkin is the most dominant player in the game . After the Ravens win the SB , I hope the Caps will continue their dominance and win the Stanley

I like the Caps, they have a good young team with a lot of talent. I think they have a good shot at the Stanley Cup this year. Ovechkin is my favorite player, he is a beast.

GO CAPS

One of my friends is a season ticket holder for the Caps so she got me hooked into it. I never thought I would like watching hockey, but after seeing a few games live I got hooked. Now I have something to follow until the baseball season starts, then I can watch the O's until they collapse, which will be right around the time the NFL pre-season starts, it's a win-win-win situation for a sports fan :-D
I don't find it boring either. Hockey is a great sport. Watching a goal being scored is just as good of a feeling as a TD.

I've been a big fan of the CAPS for a long time now. It was nice to see them get going at the end of the season last year. It's awesome that the capitals finally have a team for many years to come. I don't doubt we will end up as the #1 seed in the east this year. We have yet to face many of the bottom dwellers that Boston has faced.

This could be a great year for the caps.
Boston lost to injuries both Marco Sturm and Phil Kessel solid top 6 forwards, especially Kessel who was a big reason for the success they had this season . So , that with the Caps playing in an easy division = #1 seed in the East(hopefully)

Lots of Caps in here , I like it :)

They might as well take advantage of it, Ovechkin wants the Stanley Cup.

After Football, Hockey is my second favorite sport to watch.

I am a big fan of... guess.... The Capitals!!!!

They got a great season going, with a very young and talented team. Ovie, Green, Backstrom and Semin are one of the best in the league right now.
hockey is right there with boring sports such as golf and soccer.
Soooo untrue, go to a real game, even a minor league game, and your mind will likely be changed. On tv yes, its kind of lame if both teams dont score or create much, but being at a hockey game is one of the best things ever. The hits, the fights, the fluent passes and just general skill they have to be able to do what they do while skating is amazing.

So I will have to respectfully disagree with your assessment of the game :D

By the way.... Philly Flyers!!!!!!!!!!

What the hell happened to the Caps yesterday? They have an awesome game against Boston on Saturday, and then they completely blow it yesterday against Florida. I was there at the game and it was the most painful game to watch.

Also what happened to the Capitals yesterday? The game went into a shootout, but 2 of the 3 Caps goals were from really bad Pens mistakes and should not have been that close. To come back that far only to lose in a shootout is lame. Its bad times when the lead headline of the Pensblog is "You can't spell Ovechkin without choke".

Every team has some major slumps during the regular season . Detroit , the current champions lost 5 in a row this year, San Jose currently the best team in the NHL are having a hard time winning on the road and the examples could continue . The third place is secured IMO , they need to relax and have fun on the ice and the wins will come back.
Oh , and Theodore sucks :P

You have to feel for the kid on some level. An entire country and the NHL front office have pretty much made him the face of the league and the savior of the sport since he was in middle school. Gretzky was considered a whiny crybaby his first few years also. At some point they just need to play the game and let the refs do their job.
