Gotta say, Orr is one of the most improved players in the league. While he wasn't bad last year, he's really stepped it up this year. It's amazing how the Ravens seem to find so many good undrafted defensive players.

Imagine this defense with a dominant edge rusher out of next year's draft.

If Judon continues to get pressure and we are able to draft a player who consistently brings it, this defense will be very exciting.

Dominant rookie pass rushers are rarer than owls teeth, I think the last one was Von Miller.

I hope he stays honestly though Mosley and Orr are looking fantastic on our defense. Reminds me of Kuechly and Davis combo.

Well let me revive this thread by saying this: even if we lose this game, at least we'll still be in 1st place because of our tiebreaker over the Steelers. But boy is next week's game against the Bengals crucial.

Obviously if I had to choose one or the other I would take the W over Cincy.

I would too. I've been over today's loss. Divisional games > NFC games.

Same. After all, it IS the best team in the league record-wise.

Let me revive this thread by quoting @Ravensfan23:

"So today is both the last game of the season and the first few hours of the offseason for the Ravens. Going into 2017 I think there are a lot of positives but also so major changes that will be made. I'll focus on some of the really good positives I think the Ravens have moving forward.

1. The Rookie class of 2016. I think the Ravens had a great draft in 2016 and could be even better next year if a couple other guys develop. Stanley is a stud. I think we can put to bed the notion that the Ravens missed on Tunsil. Whether the video led to passing on him, Stanley was the right pick. Dixon will have a Ray Rice impact to this offense moving forward imo. That guy is a beast and should be a exciting piece for whoever is the OC. Young gave me a Lardarius Webb feel in his rookie year. Not the biggest guy but could have lockdown potential with a little better technique. Lewis played really well at LG and I think he and Stanley will make a really strong pair.

2. The RBs. I know the running game has been in question all year, but I think we got a really good impression of what these young guys can do. Dixon, West and Juice should have any OC smiling ear to ear at the possibilities of this offense. I think we saw in preseason how dominant this run game could be and most of us envisioned a offense that would feature it much more. The Steelers were a good defense and they ran over them at will.

3. I think the oline is a positive moving forward. Stanley, Lewis, Yanda and Wagner should all return to starting roles and if they can upgrade the center position I think the oline will be a strength moving forward.

4. I think the Ravens might have one of the best ILB tandems in the NFL. Outside of Weddle, Orr was the biggest Pro Bowl snub for the Ravens imo. I really like CJ and Orr. It'll also be interesting to see how the Ravens plan to use KC next year but unless Orr just rest on his great season and doesn't work hard to get better during the offseason, I think this tandem will be great in 2017.

5. I think the defense is in good hands with Weddle as the leader. But more speed has to be added to that side of the ball. A month ago I would have included the run defense as a strength moving forward but the better rushing teams like Mia, NE, Dal and Pit were able to run at will on this defense. I still view the defense as a strength just needs some tweaking and a overall view of how good they actually are. They focused on getting more sacks a couple years ago and the sack total increased. They focused on getting more turnovers this year and they did. I guess next year they should focus on closing out games better."

a lot of things went wrong this year, we had a 4 game slide early in the season when we were missing our starting LT, our top CB was out for a good portion of the season, Mosley was out for a while, SSS was out for a while, our QB was coming off of a torn ACL and hadnt hit his stride yet, and we still lost most of those games because of 1 or 2 plays that just didnt go our way or overly aggressive coaching, and we fell JUST SHORT of making the playoffs despite it all. So lets stop trashing everyone for a second and look at our reasons to feel good about 2017...

we finally solved the disaster that was the LT position, this is HUGE moving forward.

we have reason to believe breshad perriman can be a big piece and can realistically take a big leap finally getting an offseason to develop

matt judon looked very promising not just as a pass rusher, but as an all around OLB

we found a young stud at slot corner

we found alex lewis who can start at a solid level at multiple spots and is great depth in case someone gets hurt

kenneth dixon and terrence west are a dangerous 1-2 punch if we can get just a little bit more push up front

flacco will not enter the season in rehab mode

we have high upside guys who werent ready to play this year like correa, henry, kaufusi, and canady.

we held the number 1 defense for most of the season despite having no pass rush.

cj mosley and zach orr may be the best ilb tandem in the league

we have a 3rd round comp coming in and were picking in the middle of each round, we have a chance to find some really good guys this draft and solve a lot of our problems

i prefer to look on the bright side rather than call doom and gloom. we hampered ourselves early on with a bad month, if we win half of those losses which we very realistically could have with just 1 play made(moores drop vs oak, mosleys fumble vs was) then we are in the playoffs right now. this team, with all of its problems, is not as much of a disaster as many are claiming it is. step off the ledge people, winning comes at a cost and we are paying it right now, but we are far from finished.

It is good to see some optimism here. Hopefully we can have a strong off season. It will be very interesting to see what actions the management will take.

Some people might criticize me for this, but I think Breshad Perriman was a bright spot. There were times where he disappeared but there are so many elements that factored into his season. He was injured, didn't get enough reps, didn't build any chemistry with Joe at all and didn't really get targets being the #4 option on the team. In that sense, 500 yards is more than fine with me.

What really impressed me is what he does YAC, I didn't expect it to be such a big part of his production. Guy is ridiculous fast and breaks tackles, I really think it was a missed opportunity not getting the ball in his hands more, and you know what? He's more elusive than I thought.

I hope that he's able to build more with Joe, this guy can be a serious beast in the NFL. I can't wait for him.

I fully agree with you on this. For a raw talent who was coming back from a major injury he did very well. 33 catches, 499 yards, and 3 TDs despite being behind SSS, Wallace, and Pitta as receiving options on most plays. While the WRs still need more depth, I'm okay with Perriman being one of the top two next year alongside Wallace.

I can't wait to see what the future holds. I hope we rely on him to step up and I hope that Joe builds chemistry with him and they both get better. I think Perriman has some serious Football ahead of him and can mold into a great player. I love what I see and I personally think he just needs time.

Honestly, it seemed like Perriman was the #5 or #6 options behind SSS, Wallace, Pitta, Aiken, and which ever RB Joe wanted to check down to.  Honestly, 500 yards and 3 TDs for an player below the #3 option is pretty good.  He also probably made the most spectacular catches on the team
