I think the right side of the line will be more effective Sunday with Wagner back.  Stanley - Lewis - Zuttah - Jensen - Wagner  should be the starting lineup.  Not too bad!!

Not a bad line up, I think its better than what we put out last game for sure.

id really love to see lewis starting at RT and what that could do for our run game.

personally, i think lewis is the future RT and he may be better than wagner already, he just hasnt had a chance because hes been at LT and LG

I also wonder if Lewis might already be a better RT than Wagner, at least in the run-game. He struggled with pass protection as a LT, so I'm skeptical to think he'd be a better overall player.

I also wonder if someone like Jensen might not be better at LG than Lewis. Like you and others have noted, Lewis doesn't get good leverage against shorter interior linemen because he's too tall. Jensen struggled a bit early on, but seemed to improve last week, perhaps because the offense was a little more balanced. (of course subbing Jensen for Lewis at LG isn't even an option until Yanda returns)

What do you think about Wagner playing G or is he a backup OL?

I don't know if Lewis is already better but I agree with the idea that he's the future at RT, it makes a lot of sense. As far as Wagner goes, I don't think you sit him. He's still a good player. I think Lewis playing at LG will make him a better run blocker given that he's going to have to use leverage and know how to be a mauler.

We really need to find the C for the future.  Having Birk here was a huge advantage,  I would of rather paid Alex Mack the money than KO, i think that position is over looked.

lewis' debut at LT was wayyyy better than wagners horrible debut at RT lol. i was ready to write wagner off after he stepped in for oher in week 1 2013. and wagner was at his natural position.

wagners definitely a solid starting RT though, no need to swap em out, especially if lewis is the best option at LG, because i think hes safer than jensen at this point who has been incredibly streaky

I remember Wagner playing very well in his first season as a starter. He was PFF's highest-rated RT halfway through the season. I have to wonder if that lisfranc injury ruined his career, or if it was just an aberrational start to his career. I remember him holding up well vs Watt of all people, and then he got injured in the 2nd quarter and his backup got manhandled.

I've thought about that too...other than Stanley and Yanda, he's our best pass blocker; I think he needs to stay at RT unless/until someone else proves to be better than him in that aspect.

Hey, a pass rush actually does exist, seen it with my own two eyes. 5 sacks against the Jets, great job guys.

Positives? The entire AFC North looks bad and a .500 team may actually win this division. Kinda sad.

Yeah, this thread going to be weak for the next two weeks.

Beat the Steelers at home and we'll be tied for the division lead and 2-0 in the division.  Also, Ravens should be the healthiest they've been in a while thanks to the bye.

Jimmy Smith looked good and as a result our secondary looked good for the most part. Wow....who knew.

Judon, Pierce, and even ZDS made plays. 5 sacks? I'll take that any day.

Oh, and how about that Harbs not going for it, eh? All of our offensive points came from The Tucker.

It is overlooked, I thought it was obvious we needed an upgrade at C but we rolled the dice on Zuttah bouncing back.

I wouldn't be surprised at all to see a move made at Center this week. The only problem is I'm not sure that Urschel or Jensen is the answer. Maybe Skura get promoted from the PS? I don't know but I think it's clear Zuttah hasn't looked nearly as good without KO and Yanda on his sides. I thought Wagner did fairly well his first game back. He missed a couple of blocks but held up pretty well. I like a healthy oline of Stanley, Lewis, Yanda and Wagner. I just think the Center position needs to be upgraded and the bye week is the prefect time for it. As bad as things are I still think this team is just a healthy offensive line away from being good enough. I went back and watched the game, it was far too many plays left on the field because the oline didn't block well.

I believe this team has a lot of young talent that we have acquired through the draft the past three drafts. I agree, a healthy online would cure a lot of woes.   I also believe the worst case scenario is that we have a high draft pick. I'm just trying to stay as positive as possible,

This is really what it all comes down to. If the Ravens can keep beating the Steelers, they always have a chance to win the division.

This bye couldn't come soon enough. So many injuries. Really hoping to get our starting OL back for week 9--that's the source of most of our problems on offense. Get better starters in there, get less penalties, less pressures/sacks, better movement in the run game. At the very least, if the starting OL goes out there post-Bye and still struggles, it'll give me closure that this team just isn't very good even at 100% :P

I agree with everything being said here about the OLine. Fix that, you fix most of our problems.

I also can't believe all of the Flacco-bashing going on. We've been saying since TC we need to protect Joe better to have any chance at all. Yeah, his game's off, but we knew his knee wasn't 100% going into this season, and he's been running for his life for four games. Not to mention, we're asking him to throw 40+times a game with inflammation in the rotator cuff of his throwing shoulder,  while getting the crap beat out of him on almost every play, of course the accuracy's not going to be there.

I dont know what people think they're watching,  but I see the heart of a warrior

I agree with all points but Joe needs to play better. His mechanics are totally off and he's been missing throws. Decision making has also been a bit questionable and he's 7 games in and has only 1 multi TD pass game. It hasn't been a good year for him. He was better last year with less talent so It's a bit disappointing with what has happened this year.

Wagner was one of our highest rated players per PFF through the first few weeks of this season. He's dropped off in the last few weeks, but I don't know that he's playing poorly enough to consider a position change or being replaced at this point. His drop off has occurred during the absence of Yanda, and Wagner hasn't done much in the running game, but he's at least kept the pocket from collapsing from the outside as he's currently the 8th highest graded RT in pass protection.

The Ravens have won 5 of their last 6 games vs. Steelers (including postseason), dating back to Nov. 28, 2013.

Come on Ravens fans---Let's get this positive thread going again.  Way too much negativity in the other threads!  When we beat the Steelers on Sunday, we will be in first place in the AFC North!

Almost time to punish the Steelers @ home.  I hope this week we can play 60 minutes of good football.  Stanley, Yanda back would be some great news by tomorrow.  LETS GO!
