[News] Terrell Suggs To Undergo Tests To Determine Extent Of Arm Injury

This should not be an issue. Ravens missed him last year and should have a plan in case it happens again. Guess not.

Amazing leader and he will be missed tremendously, Sizzle would of been out there if it wasnt something serious. That man is a warrior and im really hoping its not season ending because it would hurt to see him end back to back seasons like this..

Not knocking Suggs when I say he's getting long in the tooth as a football player. When the injuries mount the player needs to consider his options. This man was the best of the best back in the day. I remember him in that Thanksgiving game against the 49's where he devastated QB Smith. None of us stay in our prime forever.

I appreciate Suggs for working hard to rehab and get back on the field and for all of the years he put into this team and providing the defense with leadership post Ray Lewis and Ed Reed.  However, he is done!  Sure, he got to the QB 1x today but he is clearly....at least to me...not as effective as a pass rusher as he use to be and neither is Dumervil.  It is time to move on and let these young OLB's gain the much needed "in-game" experience necessary to improve.  They can't do that by sitting on the pine behind these older and ineffective veterans.

Noooouuu please don't say that.....

1- Suggs is coming back from an achilis so he's not 100 percent. You don't get you burst back for 12-18 months.

2- Suggs is being eased back into a full time starter and is playing like 60 percent of snaps.

3- Hes no longer the primary pass rusher so he's not going full on to the QB by design not because he can't.

4- With all those limitations he still racked up 5 sacks this season already!

5- Suggs still demands double teams and sheds blockers like a fish. Hes arguably the smartest lineman in the NFL regularly sacrificing his body and stats to eat up running lanes and make everyone around him better.

Suggs is still the man so let's not go there guys please. You wanna call for young guns getting playing time then go ahead and I'll agree. Just don't call Suggs done when all he's done is ball on the field and lead off of it.

If Suggs is out for any amount of time, I fear a repeat of last year. Especially with the bubble gum and duct tape holding both our O-line and quarterback's knee together.

Let the young players play because we have had no pass rush to this point so give them snaps. Stop living off the paw we gotta see what we have for the future.

Looks like the Ravens are going to have another top 10 1st round pick again, so maybe there will be a good OLB available.

I'm thinking a QB

If the injuries continue to occur for Suggs and Doom, and the team shows no promise of being better during the course of this season (which is already happening with all the penalties, dropped passes and missed opportunities), then I would not be surprised at all to see at least one of those guys retire after this year.

The sad thing is, we have absolutely no successor in sight to those guys. At least not anyone who can make a difference on a regular basis. Our franchise cornerstones are getting old, yet we have very few players outside of Mosley to take over for these guys.

It's a result of many draft busts and below average development from players and unfortunately it will take years to correct this trend.

I hate to say it but I believe it will be Suggs last year, I am still hoping he goes out like Ray did holding that trophy at the end of the year but our boys need to step it up. This offseason is going to be sad enough, I dont know if I can take a losing season on top of everything.

the best thing that could happen to this team would to lose the rest of the games and select a top rated QB.one that doen't blow hot and cold and thats not a 9-5 QB then our defense wouldn't break down trying to play the perfect game every week.too much pressure on this defense to win the game,WEDDLE puts in alot of hours for this team and it shows, but they can't do it every week.

If you think qb is the problem you must not watch a lot of football.

Im hearing that suggs is done- god I hope not. I don't want to see him go out like that. Even though he's not as quick as he once was he was still racking up the sacks. And he's the last player from the ray/ed era ....him being gone means those days are officially over and I'm just not ready for that. We need his swag.

Whatever the case this season  is becoming eerily similar to 2012 ..

I watch a lot of football. HS, college and NFL. QB is not a problem? Seriously? Joe over-threw Wallace by 10 feet more than once and wasn't being pressured. Admit it that Joe is at least, part of the problem. I too, wonder if Suggs is done. But his swagger is obviously not enough for a team with not enough stars and little depth.
But I have to ask: How is the world do you compare this year to 2012? The record? Their play? I see a team with no identity, a coach being conservative when the situation begs for imagination but risking momentum and points when the offense can't score and a team with few play makers. So how is this team like 2012?

So there are no problems? Our QB play is fine? Really? The O-line is to blame? Receivers? Coaching? Yeah. You are right. The SB QB is on fire.

Nobody is saying he's on fire. Yes he could be playing better. But he is playing behind a patchwork o line and coming off of a serious injury. Call that an excuse all you want, but when you have pressure in your face nearly every play and 300 pound animals dropping right by your knees you can't tell me he feels comfortable back there. You've seen what pressure can make even pro bowl qbs look like - ex. Cam newton, Brady, Rodgers..

And even still and I cannot stress this enough: HE HAS PUT US IN POSITION TO WIN LITERALLY EVERY SINGLE GAME THIS YEAR. had our defense held the leads Joe has given them late we would be ATLEAST 5-1. He can't play defense and catch the ball too -which our receivers have THE MOST drops in the league- that on Joe too? If Wallace kept running on that last play and actually gotten into the endzone Joe might have hit him which it looked like that's what Joe expected him to do. If Wallace catches the ball right there and gets tackled its game over and you don't have time to run another play. That probably ran through joes head at the last second and he was like "shoot maybe i should just throw it away"..now I could be wrong but nobody knows what he was thinking. Yes he probably should've hit him and given Wallace the chance to make a play, but what's done is done and he can't make them all. Its unfair of us to expect him to drive down the feild 80 yards with less than a minute left and one timeout with the patchwork o line and our top receiver inactive, esp after he had just gotten us the lead with 2 minuted to go. One more stop on that 4th down and it was game over. One play. Just like the one play last week where flacco threw a dime and put it right in the breadbasket only for perriman to not get his foot down. Its a game of inches , and 2 plays go differently and the ENTIRE narrative changes and flacco goes from being average Joe to Joe clutch. Anyway were still only a game out of the division lead. The Steelers play new England next week and Ben just tore his meniscus so he will be out atleast 3 weeks. We win next week...take the division lead...go into the bye week and get healthy... Then head to the bank to face Pittsburgh with all hands on deck with a chance to take over sole possession of the division. Still a lot of football to play. Don't write off this team yet. And if you can't see the similarities between this year and 2012 then once again i say you must not watch a lot of football. Pretty obvious what they are. Doesn't mean much in the grand scheme of things but it just shows you its happened before and it can happen again. Suggs and Steve could give this team that spark that ray did and we could ride it all the way. I know it seems farfetched with how were playing right now- but its all about getting hot at the right time.

That's now two torn biceps and two Achilles for Suggs in the last four years. Love the guy, but his body may be quitting on him.
