I wish bro I wish. But in reality, we need to restock on talent.

Well we're not doing that before next week. But keep beating that drum, please.

Exactly, he's the last we have from our beloved dominant Ravens era. We are a new team now.

Thank you for quoting I guess

Tore his bicep. Can play through but likely won't be effective.

Per Jay Glazer

Unbelievable.

I thought the tests were being run tomorrow?

This is just brutal. Seems like we can never catch a break. Absolutely sick of coming up just short in these close games and this team being decimated by injuries.

Jay Glazer can see the future.  It is his special talent. He uses it for the good of football media world.

So Glazier miraculously has the results of an MRI that hasn't been done yet? And knows it's minor enough to play through? Just lost all credibility.

might have heard something from the touchline. suggs had a similar injury in his SB year..

i think he should retire..his body is worn out..

Considering the Dr. Chao agreed with him and is right 99% of the time... I'd say it's pretty certain. I hope Glazer's wrong as much as the next guy man. Not ready to put my Suggs jersey away for the year yet.

okay add this to the list of parallels

Suggs gets bicep injury and has chance to play in a few weeks.

Methinks he heals up and returns for the steelers game. The bye week will do wonders for him.

Not surprised if true.  He's definitely been weak this year but that football IQ is still there though, so it's not some small loss.  If there's potential for a late season return, throw him on IR and keep the possibility of him coming back at some point.  I don't think we can afford to carry another injured guy at this juncture, unfortunately.  That inactive list is close to being full already.

It's quite insane how accurate Dr. Chao is by simply looking at videos.  I know he has a checkered past with the NFL, but you can't deny that guy's knowledge.  He's spot on a large majority of the time.

Add that to the parallels then too. Longstanding leader of the defense has his body worn down and declares his retirement. Meanwhile on the offensive side of the ball we have a staunch veteran, deep threat, and big potential play threat, with a reliable TE, good RB corps, and a QB that is money in the playoffs.

We need to get healthy fast. I'm a believer in history repeating itself.

If he sprays some deer antler stuff on his biceps, it's a clear omen from the football gods.

Retirement would be interesting. From a cap perspective, he'd still cost almost $6M against the cap with a 2017 retirement, saving the team just over $1M in cap space.

Interesting aspect here is that some of the "beatwriters" I've seen seem to think this will be Dumervil's last year here also... he's due $6M next season with a $8.4M cap hit... 4th highest on the team currently. They can save the full $6M against the cap by cutting him, and 2017 is the final year of his deal. Coming off a disappointing last season and what appears to be a largely injured 2016 so far, one would think the Ravens wouldn't be willing to pay that.

I suppose an extension for less money would be in the works, but he would be 33 then, so not sure how likely that is.

Bottom line... a Suggs retirement could mean a full blown turnover at the pass rushing position.

I'd be okay with that, as long as we actually pick up a young guy who can rush the passer.  Suggs isn't cutting it anymore and the jury is still out on Dumervil, but he's slowed considerably as well.  I'd be looking to add a young guy via the draft and maybe a solid veteran in FA.  It's time to start a new era, even though it's painful to see someone like Suggs go (if he does).

i think brandon williams on passing downs is another issue.. a reason why i DONT want to give him a new deal here.

Not to get too far off topic here, but since it's pass rush related, I did notice that Pierce was in without Williams on passing downs on quite a few occasions today.

So because our 3-4 NT doesn't get enough pressure you want him gone?

What in the actual hell are you going on about now? Really, I want to know.

Imagine literally all of us in here, our mouths would drop to the floor. I REALLY want to see the look on everyone's faces if we do. LOL, just makes me smile ear to ear with this possibility.
