Suggs...Arm injury. If serious would this be his career here?

94 posts in this topic

If he rumours and the immediate pictures of the bicep getting taped are to believed, and we lose suggs for the year to a torn bicep, will this be his career?

3 major injuries in what 5 years?

Probably. He was a hell of a player. Borderline hall of famer. I'm expecting it given our luck

Much as I hate to say it. Might not be our year again because of injuries. No one to blame, just bad luck. Football's a contact sport. Stuff like this happens. Of course the fans will never stop complaining though.

We could use another pass rusher early anyway.

Tony Lombardi said he's hearing it's a torn biceps. No word on if it's season ending.

Don't listen to Lombardi.  He literally posted that not long after the injury occurred.  He could be right, but I can guarantee he has no source to attribute that to at this time.

But yeah, if Suggs is done for the year, I'd guess his time in Baltimore would also come to an end.  I suspect he'd retire with another injury.  He simply doesn't have the juice this year and spending another year away, even though it's a different injury, is only going to further that decline.  It's a shame, but this is a team that needs to start trending younger.

I'm trying to imagine how much worse our non-existent pass rush would be without Suggs. Combined with no Doom and no Jimmy for any extended time, and our utterly inept offense, yikes. Does the NFL have a mercy rule?

It's interesting that we lost three straight games, (one vs the Redskins), the offensive coordinator (Mark Trestman), and somebody have maybe a torn biceps or triceps (Suggs). Hmm it's starting to remind me when we won the Super Bowl in 2012. We had lost 3 straight games (one vs the Redskins), fire Cam Cameron, and Ray Lewis went down on a triceps injury but came back on the run to the Super Bowl. Strange.

Exactly why we are where we are. Seems they draft to be considered "wizards" instead of taking the player there. I look at the 2014 draft and I want to cry with some of the first round players we could have snagged. Brought on by OBJ killing us today, I looked and it's sad. We are in serious trouble.

actually that was one of our better drafts

we need to focus on 2 things only next year. pass rush and O line. FA and Draft.

When I saw the replay and he was in the ground,  I instantly posted I think it'd a torn bicep,  just the way his arm was limp. He's the last raven with any swag,  at all.... Will be a sad day

I suspect he'll return in time for the playoffs and announce that this will be his "last ride" and lead us to another Super Bowl.

I wish bro I wish. But in reality, we need to restock on talent.

Exactly, he's the last we have from our beloved dominant Ravens era. We are a new team now.
