we are out of the playoffs for now but are not out of it

our OLine is not good, our pass rush is not good, our receivers are not very good, we are injured but as was said by the lowly peasants in monty python and the holy grail, we are not dead yet! actually it was by the plague dead

This whole cheesy notion that certain fans deserve to lose or that certain people don't deserve a super bowl victory is poppycock.

Success should be celebrated and failure bemoaned as one desires. Entertainment.

Yeah but fan desires don't matter in the grand scheme of things. At some point fans have to look themselves in the mirror also, and ask themselves who they want to be?

From what I see, I'd say the Ravens FANS themselves are a 1-5, or a 2-4 team. Certainly below average. If you're content with being a below average fan, be my guest. Some people strive to be better.

we were in the playoffs because andy reid did us a favor

And The Ravens actually played like they belong in The Playoffs as well until they lost against The Patriots.

Nope, but why is that being discussed in the middle of the season? What impact does that have on the 2016 Ravens?

What impact does any of what we say have on the Ravens? Lol WE ARENT ON THE TEAM. Did you get a ring during either of our bowls? So relax and enjoy healthy respectful debating like an adult.

And in the vent thread?

This is about the game, not about youknowwho.  Let's at least try to stay on topic.

None whatsoever. But what you're talking about doesn't have anything to do with even the present time or near future. This topic is basically a rant thread about the game we just played... it has nothing to do with firing scouts after the season.

This concept isn't even a debate, so what are you even talking about?

Ok I am getting mad here 2 weeks in a row if we quit getting cute and take the FG we win and are 5-1. Over the last 3 or 4 years I can think of 6,7,8 games that we have lost because we didn't take the points. I can think of GB in 2013 at least 2 of the Bengals games in the last 2 years. Fake FGs and a sweep on 4&1 with a 220lb RB run up he middle. We pay Tucker well he is the best in the league take the freaking points Harbs.

Did you go back and count the guys where we did go for it, converted it, and we won?

If you didn't, why didn't you do that?

Agree with Zrebiec's tweet... hard to find a coach in the league that kicks a FG there. I guarantee all the good one's don't.

You can question things like the fake FG last week, but this one seems kind of silly to question. Feels like more typical fan hindsight analysis.

Actually we were in range at the end of the game but needed a TD over a FG since we passed up 2. The long Mike Wallace catch after ODB scored was a waste and early in the game we didn't convert on 4th down either.

It is a game of inches and we keep leaving points on the field to our demise.

huh?

We lost by 4. Remember, when we kick the FG, everything after it happens exactly the same way. That's fan logic right?

Please enlighten us, oh wise one, what it takes to be a "better" fan. And then, oh wise one, let us know of the credentials you carry, and who it is that empowered you to know these things. We wait desperately for your wisdom.

Can anyone get Jimmy's stats? Like how many catches and yards and TD allowed so far this season? Idk how or where to find them and I'd like to shut and argument down between me and a buddy of mine.

More knowledge. Lots and lots and lots more knowledge.

And God gave me those powers.

(Did he really? Maybe, maybe not, but a minimal fan isn't required to support his statements or opinions with any sort of facts whatsoever, so I can pretty much just make baseless claims all day long and still shoot par on here).

In all seriousness, actually watching the game and paying attention would be a good start.

Way I see it. Offensive playcalling was good today. Penalties killed a lot of our drives because we have a young oline. A lot of those holding penalties probably don't happen with the starters in and our momentum probably wouldn't shift. But even with all the injuries, and stupidity going around we almost won the damn game vs a competent team. It's injuries and penalties that killed us. Those big plays probably don't happen with Jimmy in, and we probably get more momentum if the starters are in and blocking better. Only remaining starter in his natural position today was Zuttah who looked improved under the new scheme.

Like the Broncos game after we fired Cam, we lost but it's not too bleak. Remember that was also a three game losing streak.

Jimmy comes back and the remaining members of the oline come back, we likely win next week, and then take it to the Steelers. We need to heal up.

"We lack depth".. Well when a  lot of your starters are out, it's hard to win and we almost pulled it off today.

I ain't calling for anyone's head. We looked a hell of a lot better today than we did the previous two weeks. If this team with this offense had played against the Raiders and Redskins those two would have probably been wins since our offense was upgraded from incompetent to average today.

We really haven't been playing elite teams these past 6 weeks. We should have won a few more games than 3...wait until we play teams like the steelers. We will get demolished. We should have taken advantage of this Pre-bye schedule

Really? The Steelers got demolished by Miami today.

We're a hell of a lot better than Miami. Pittsburgh is beatable. They have an awesome offense but their defense is laughable. Had we not had so many penalties on the offensive end because of young olinemen we probably would have scored more points.

It happens. This week was expected to be one with growing pains at least by me. I'm pleasantly surprised we played so well.

Right now they are clearly better than we are. That's not the point.

On a weekly basis in this league, an inferior team beats a superior team. Frankly, its 2-3 times a week on some weeks.

This notion that the better team always blows out the inferior team doesn't actually happen in real life.

Some of you sound like Marty Bass... Are any of you him using another name?....

and to answer one gentleman any good coach comes away with the points in that situation with almost an entire quarter left to play.

especially since the ravens seldom lose by more then 6 points .... 3 points at that point would have been huge....

by by not taking the points the momentum changes, and the team walks away frustrated and lacking confidence for not

making a yard with 4 attempts..... And the rest is history...

very frustrating to have to wait an entire year just to see it all happen again... It's the same thing every year.....

yeah, we'll get Em next year is wearing a little thin don't you think?
