OBJ had one catch for six yards against Jimmy prior to Jimmy leaving.

Sigh

Jimmy wasn't shadowing OBJ in the first half though. I'd like to see the results of how many times he actually ran a route against Jimmy to make final judgement.

I know he wasn't shadowing, but he was still useless for the most part in the first half, which speaks to the Ravens ability to rotate coverages away from Jimmy.

Where's Jeremy Butler when you need him....

I'm with you on that one. Given we can't draft receivers, it would be nice to have him next year when SSR and Aiken are gone.

That 'clutch' throw to Mike Wallace.  Never seen a receiver so wide open and a QB overthrow that hard in my life!

Some sort of miscommunication there.  I think Wallace actually ran the right route, but Flacco was expecting him to continue upfield since no one seemed to be covering him.  Wallace was prepared for the back shoulder throw to get out of bounds, but looked up and the ball was already nearly by him.  Flacco was going for it all.

If we weren't a good team we would be getting blown out. Were not bad at all. We have just failed to put together a complete game in all 3 phases. 3 losses in a row or not. The lead in the north is only one gane away as the entire north lost today. All of them a lot uglier than us-  and we were down half our damn team.

Bengals and Steelers also have a ton of injuries.

The whole north losing today will keep the teams spirits up. Unfortunately we are about to hit the tough part of the schedule. We go 7-9 in my opinion.

I'm speaking recently, not 2012-13. Why was my thread closed then?? After this game, it would be flooded and you know it.  And did you give warning points to the ones who personally attack people? Or only to ones who disagree with you? A guy literally just made a personal attack at Sami lol. But I'm sure you didn't see it right?

We will not discuss actions taken with other posters.  You will never know.  I don't know why "your" thread was closed. You called the mods out untruthfully and I responded to counter that.  You have never received points for expressing your opinion, only for flagrant rule violations. End of discussion. We also have a rule against hijacking threads.

At the beginning of the year my guess was a 7-9 to a 9-7.   I think 7-9 is where we end up

Yep. I think he had only 2 targets on Jimmy. Caught short one and Jimmy broke the pass on a long play.

I'm not sure he'll go next week though - he had a long lay off with a concussion before, I don't like it.

Entirely possible. I think most realistic fans viewed this as an average team this season anyway, so pretty much right on schedule.

If I were to sit back and pick "wins and losses" at the beginning of the season, I'd have bet we would be 4-2 right now, so about a game behind where we need be.

However, I will say that when largely healthy, we are better than I expected we would be, specifically the defense.

For whats its worth... I'm not saying too many really good teams in the AFC and certainly not in our division. Patriots are the class of the conference as usual, and teams like Pittsburgh and Denver are good but obviously have flaws. Frankly, I think an 8-9 win team is going to get a wildcard spot this year.

Teams like Cincinnati, Buffalo, Baltimore, and KC are pretty much all the same to me. I think they're all pretty average teams.

good news if you still think we are a playoff team?

steelers vs patriots- we know whats going to happen here

Bengals even with a win will just be tied with us

bye week

so 3 weeks off ..4 weeks for some

You should really watch other teams play. Seems you just don't know.

If you got it, you got it.  Flacco didn't have that one.  You can tell Mike was pissed off, b/c he knew that was the game right there.  He went off the field without giving team the signal.  That play got him hurt and he ran off the field p-off. ..That led to a delay of game.   Now were 3-3 instead of 4-2.

Probably could've been the 'play of the game'

Agree. It's refreshing to see that there's a few fans on here that aren't in denial. Average team, average coach, average talent, average record. We are 3-3. If it walks like a duck......

Yeah, outlook is pretty bleak. I'm still going to hope boys can turn it around. Somehow.

every throw in that situation is gonna be in triple coverage.

do you understand situational football? what do you expect the defense to NOT cover the area the ball is thrown to?

I can't believe people can't see he was covered and then the defenders all swarmed to the ball deceiving the viewer at the time to think he was open before seeing a replay with the coverage

well if this team just needs to ''overcome injuries'' then by the bye week everyone ( barring suggs possibly) should be back.

Then you just hope they cans stay healthy. Also who is eligable to reutrn from IR? Canady played well for us...

We've played an incredibly weak schedule so far. That's the only reason we haven't been blown out.

I know. I usually just look at these forums but I'm tired of seeing people disrespect others who they don't know just because of their opinion so decided to ruffle some feathers. Most of the homers here just hide behind the moderators power.

Also a lot less intelligence and knowledge. I agree I wouldn't last long there.

Its just like every other fanboard forum (including this one). When we look good, we're the best in the world. When we lose a game everybody thought we were going to lose anyway, its time to burn the place down.

Rinse, repeat.

Most of us know we're average. What we don't like is crazy demands for mass firings/cutting of players.  We also don't like being told we suck, because most of us don't think that is true.  We struggling, but we're not a lost cause.

Well that and there aren't many teams blowing out anybody these days.

Certainly some difficult teams still left on the schedule, but they certainly aren't world beaters either.

eric and ozzie are more about quantity and hoping they'll get lucky  then trading up to get a better prospect.

i still cant believe with all the excellent players in the 2nd round we chose correa..

After going 5-11 and earning such a high draft slot, I remember folks (myself included), beating an incessant drum that we, " needed to " draft impact players in round one and two.

That's your take but not mine at the moment.  I've seen them for 6 weeks now bro!  6 weeks!  Forsett fell on the sword...scapegoated as being an offensive issue.  Same results offensively.  Trestman fell on the sword...scapegoated as being another issue offensively.  Guess what?  Same results offensively!  At some point, there has to be an acknowledgement that the team really isn't that good to overcome what they lack.  Good teams find ways to win, bad teams find ways to lose.  I heard that being said before.

You guys should really get on my "fans deserve this" bandwagon. I'm starting to convert more and more each day.

There are some people who simply need a lot of losing in order to remember how difficult it is to win. That makes the wins more satisfying.

I don't think "remember" is the right word.  I suspect "learn" is better suited.
