After reading this article, I don't feel like watching the game on sunday and I'm sure Flacco going to get killed

Same here. Not sure what will be worse, watching him get killed or listening to our ungrateful fan base blame the entire loss on him

At one point in time the way to succeed in the NFL was to not sign free agents, let your free agents walk, gather as many draft picks as you can and use those draft picks wisely. That whole mentality hinges on taking the best advantage of those draft picks as you can. We haven't been doing that. Another thing is there are only 53 roster spots. It makes absolutely no sense to have 13 draft picks when only 6 or 7 will actually make the team, if that many. That means you passed up on free agent players to save a few picks that don't turn into quality players and you have to cut. Or the team didn't make trades and trade away those draft picks that would have been cut anyway so we get nothing for those slots. This draft was the first in awhile that we actually acquired a number of good players but even so, we still cut 5 or 6 of the draft picks that we valued so heavily. What sense does that make?

I say that because at this point there are alot of teams out there who are already out of it and looking to next year. We should consider doing a number of trades to strengthen the O-line and strengthen our secondary. Its going to cost a developmental player or two and a couple of those draft picks that Ozzie likes so much, but the strategy that worked for so long when we had a good core of players isn't working anymore because that core is gone. We are in rebuilding mode, even if no one else will admit it. If we want to turn that around into being a competitive team, we are going to have to do some dealing and pick up some other players. Dumpster diving for players that other teams have discarded isn't going to make a super bowl team. Sorry to tell you all that.

We list guys on the injury report because we can. Doom conveniently was re-listed because he just came off an injury. It's all a game to distract the Giants expectations and to make them have to prepare for various personnel.
If guys can't go it's the next man up. That's why Ozzie built so much depth on this team.

Hold on.... We have Zuttah at C.... we can play both Urschel and Jensen at G... (all three started games last year) We have Alex Lewis back and he actually is a T... We have Hurst who has started way too many games over the past 2 season (but can go) ... it sounds like Stanley will be a go). Ducasse is a quality back up if needed. (I would be shocked if both Yanda and Wagner missed- they are both some pretty tough dudes)....

Yes we are banged up and nicked up but I really do not believe that the OL is that bad. (in fact... I am going to say that I expect 3 of our 5 starters to play Sunday at minimum) the insurance policy is for two reasons:
1. Practice dummies
2. In case those bumps and nicks get worse through the game or through the season.

As far as the WR corps.... We still have Mike Wallace who will play. We have Perriman (who needs to take the next step under Marty and this will be a great chance) we have CMoore who needs more reps. We have Kamar who needs to play better. We have Pitta, Gilmore and the addition of Waller. We have Dixon, Allen and West who are all threats in the passing game as well. We still have a lot of weapons without SSS. Obviously, we are better with Steve out there but if he cant go... we still have a ton of weapons that Trestman simply was not utilizing enough!

The injury that scares me that most this week is CJ... I am hoping he can go... He is (out of all of our injuries) the hardest to replace!

While the injuries have not been the IR type that we saw way too much of last year... They are becoming a concern again. We you lead the league in turn overs... that needs to get addressed. When you lead the league in dropped passes... someone has to be accountable for that. When you lead the league in penalties.... someone may lose a job. When you lead the league in injuries... you get a new field surface. When you are still at the top of the league in INJ... it may be time to address the strength and conditioning regimen!

Next man up! Joe is healthy and he needs to talk his team and make them play better! Ray Lewis did it his entire career and players responded! Like I said before "The Ravens beat the hottest team in football with the backups" and now we have a new OC so I don't want anymore excuses!

"Giants HC Ben McAdoo was a grad assistant at Pittsburgh when Joe Flacco was there and remembers him running over linebackers in practice." 10 years, 120 million dollars and a knee later, Joe isn't that player anymore. However, I do remember a game back in his first year or two, I think it was against the Jets, where he took a QB draw up the middle and leveled a linebacker before he plowed ahead for another couple yards. Those were the days...

No injury worries me quite like Marshall Yanda and Ronnie Stanley. Including the big names, like Wallace and Smith Sr. Wallace I believe will play. Smith Sr is able to play through pain, so if it's at least a bit structurally possible, you will be hard-pressed to keep him off the field. However, even if he's not playing - Aiken has had a painful drop, but we've seen him do well last year, when nobody else was. We have Breshad Perriman, who is not perfect, but he is promising.

On the defensive front, I would really like to see Mosley back. It takes some experience and confidence to call the plays as MIKE, which is something beyond physical ability. How bad is the hamstring?

Where did you find those stats about leading the league in injuries in 2015?  I have a friend who is a NE Patriots fan (I am not proud of this) who said that he heard a stat quoted on the radio that stated that the Patriots were the team that suffered from the most injuries last year.  This could be right but we haven't been able to find any statistical data to prove or disprove that.

I seem to remember some stink a few years ago because Harbaugh wasn't listing all the injuries.  At that time, I think his response was that would would start listing everything, even if it was a hangnail or a shaving cut.   ;)

We should see a major improvement in play calling. Marty has had similar offenses and done well with them. Trestman was an opportunity that failed. Here comes the running game. It's about time.

Saw this after 13 weeks of the season last year....Wow :34853_shakehead:, look at all of those green dots!! Saw a few articles stating it was the Patriots, Green Bay for top injuries, not sure how though.  " As BaltimoreRavens.com noted, the Ravens currently have 18 players out for the season (more than any other team in the NFL) including its starting quarterback, plus one more player who is probably out for the season. It all accumulates in more than $50 million in salary cap money — and a 4-9 record.

So the offense is ranked among the league's worst, and we're racking up the injuries already. Sounds disturbingly familiar...

Don't worry.  The new O.C. will fix everything.

Never look back. This is the Joe we have now. I am glad we still have him by the way.

What could be worse are fans that don't give us a chance before the game begins.

Man, we're beat up. The drop off from Mosley to McClellan was quite apparent in the last game, then almost our entire OL is hobbled...good luck out there Joe.

Jensen started either five or six last year.

Doubt Stanley is a go this week.  If he returned to practice, I would guess he's next week at the earliest, or maybe after the bye week.  I don't think we pick up another guard if Yanda was going to play.  Same with Wagner.....

This team is in deep crap. When healthy they weren't very good. Now the injuries are starting to pile up - my confidence level is low, my hope level is high.
