Ravens claim G/T Billy Turner; Release LB Chris Carter

I actually like this move.  Although Turner has been awful in Miami, I recall us apparently really liking him in that draft class.  Hopefully we can turn him around.  It's worth a flyer, although it does concern me about how much disarray this OL is in.

we have a knack of ''liking'' scrubs..seems like we like them even after they have proven they are scrubs welcome to the ravens..:/

I liked Turner that year. I'm surprised he never amounted to much but also not that surprised since it's not like the Dolphins were some amazing team at developing OL

This doesn't make me feel good about our o-line. We finally have a nice set of weapons, imo, and now a revolving door on the line. :/

Might as well give him a shot, our interior oline has been thin even before injuries started happening. With Carter being cut I think we're doing a complete shakeup of our ST coverage unit, won't be surprised if Judon is active this week and playing ST.

I wouldn't be shocked if Brennen Beyer is on the roster come Saturday for ST reasons.  Maybe one of the OL falls off if we can get a couple of guys back healthy this week.

Yeah I remember you liking Turner, I liked him coming out as well.

He is a guy with some nice potential but has struggled in Miami obviously. Worth a roll of the dice to see if Castillo can get him playing better.

Also, just stating the obvious....he won't be any worse than you-know-who or you-know-who-else regardless of where on the OL he plays.

Oneil Cousins and James Hurst? That's like saying getting shot in the chest is not as bad as getting shot in the head. Both are terrible but only one is painful

I watched the all-22 on his last game. I know they have a bunch of OL injuries but, a backup RG starting at LT? It was pretty bad. Doesn't know how to use his hands at all but, he can sure run into people.

I think they learned their lesson with Legs aka Myers. It makes not signing Long this offseason or keeping Monroe look like a bad move now but in Ozzie I trust.

To be fair, it was at LT, where he hadn't practiced.  He's been at G mostly since being drafted and all of the sudden he was thrown into the fire at LT last game.  Still, he hasn't been very good regardless of position.

Injuries (and sadly suspensions) are becoming a part of the game and every team goes through them. 

You look at all the other top teams and they are going through injuries and still winning. We will see how the Ravens handle them Sunday.
