26 posts in this topic

Head Coach John Harbaugh wanted to shake things up when he made the switch to Offensive Coordinator Marty Mornhinweg. It’s still early, and the offense has yet to play in a game, but the players are already excited about their new play-caller and the direction of the offense.

Does this mean Perryman will now be able to catch balls? Or will Flacco be able to throw to his receivers rather than on the ground in front of them? If so, I'm all for it.

Assuming you mean perriman, not the ILB perryman of the chargers.

Anyway, perriman will be fine IMO and this coaching change may just help both flacco and perriman. Just gotta get that line working better

"COORDINATOR CHANGE HAS INJECTED ENERGY INTO RAVENS OFFENSE"

Guys, let's not do this... Let's wait at least 2-3 games with any optimism and pessimism...

God forbid we lose these next two games. The fans will go berserk. Please give this offense a chance. Things do not change drastically overnight ya know. I wish Marty and the team the best.

I would think it would just like anything else in life you wanted that was new and got rid of the thing u didn't like for a bit.  I do hope we get healthy and better on the Oline and everything else will fall into place offensively at least.  Def & Special teams lets just get healthy and better at coverage/ tackling!  lets go on this winning streak before the bye fellas!!

YES! I'm gonna get my Gunslinger back! All this crap about the running game "The Ravens never had a RB problem they had a QB problem and Joe Flacco solved that"! Now, "LETS SLING THAT ROCK" Sunday! It was just like I figured it would be when the running game starts going and the Ravens rely HEAVILY on it we would loose and we did! 1st quarter of the season and all this is happening at the rite time! I've been hard on Joe because this is HIS team no one else's and if he doesn't have that "RELENTLESS" attitude like the entire team it won't work! Ray Lewis told him in the locker room in front of the whole team this is his team and he has to push harder and make everyone play better like Ray did PERIOD! Because WE THE BEST!

All this talking about the O line is getting old as dirt the play calling will help the O line because the running game did take off and Joe did get his passes off but when you became "PREDICTABLE" the Defense knows when to pin their ears back and disrupt things so please move on from pointing fingers at them ! The O line is under construction GET OVER IT! You're not telling us anything we already know! Smh

just what we needed,a little,or well alot of ENERGY! and CONFIDENCE! anything will be an upgrade from vanilla pudding trestman, lets have a SHAKY'S BIRTHDAY PARFAI! atleast lets see guys having fun! if the offense plays as well as the championship caliber defense it will erase some of the embarracement of this franchise we have now. i think trestmann wanted to take an early retirement,he needs to give back some of the money he stole from this team due to pain and suffering.

The only reason we lost is BC we didn't stick with the run game. If we had kept pounding it down their throat with west when he was averaging 8.9 ypc then Joe could've thrashed them with the deep ball late. We totally beat ourselves.

Well, all the warm fuzzies over the new OC are sure better than NOT being excited and energized by the change. But the games will tell the story. Can't wait for Sunday; like the first drive in a new car. Go Ravens!

If you watch Trestman call a football game and then look at Marty's track record. That is something to be optimistic about.

I remember seeing Joe throw the ball at the ground in front of his receiver a few times Sunday. In the process he, A.) avoided a sack; B.) avoided an interception; C.) avoided a reception for a certain loss. This bothers you?

After the circus catch he made in game 1, we know that Perriman is capable of catching the ball. Yes, he needs to work on his hands, and also on his field awareness. It is way too early to write him off though.

Aiken's quote about not just running routes as lines on paper says a lot. The receivers were not getting open, and hopefully, Marty can change that. I remember with Cam, it was mostly Sideline in, out, or fly routes, and it got very predictable and easy to defend. When Caldwell took over, he used the middle of the field more with crosses and slants, and the offense took off. Our defense is much better than it was in 2012, so if the offense can start playing well, we will have as good a chance as anyone to win the SB.

I hope the "spark" mentioned above turns out to become a full blown, five alarm blaze under the offenses' s'es.

I can just picture it.

Marty's first player meeting as OC: OK guys, I'm not going to change much. Let's just have some fun and play some ball.

Annnnnd any more dropped passes, missed blocks or fumbles and you guys will be vending hot dogs in the stands next Sunday! A sly smirk forms on Joe's face.

Yes. And notice Pitta saying he wants to see more balance between the rush and pass game...I agree this is important. Marty likely will incorporate the run more evenly balanced and I gather the pass will still be the majority of snaps but to still make sure we don't abandon the run ...especially when it's working...like last Sunday.

After reading this article you have to wonder why Marty Mornhinweg wasn't promoted to OC after Kubiak left.

Well, expectedly they're going to spin it to seem like Trestman was all wrong and Marty is all right. I don't put much stock in all these stuff, I only believe what my eyes see on Sundays.

Seeing is believing. Biilick's weakness was his inability to find the right QB. Harbaugh's weakness is finding the right OC. I sure hope that this one can add the spark at game time.
