One day, maybe 12 or 13 years from now. We're going to look back at young Joe doing commercials for a small town pub and go, "wow, he came a long way"

;)

I dont even get the first part, hes just sitting there with some potatoes, then acts like he's gonna get up, then doesnt...what is the point?
The Donahoo commercials are the BEST - Scotty D is the man! :P

All antwerpen commercials are terrible. The worst were the Koons commercials last year. Not only did I have to watch them but I suffered the embarrassment of working for them...You know the ones with the nasty fat guy pretending to be Krystal Koons? ugh

I agree. It's just a goof-around commercial that'll be seen in Maryland... Big deal.

I'm ok with Joe knowing what he's doing on the field. If I want Hollywood I'll watch a movie.

I'll take being tied up by those two any day. In all seriousness, low production value, but considering it's a local commercial, it's not bad.

Well BoJangles is a regional chain not a local bar so the budget is bigger. That being said, do not think for one second that budget determines a good commercial. They had a good enough camera and a big enough staff to overcome budget issues. Good commercials revolve around the idea, and if one can come up with a great idea that's smart, witty, and original then it isn't difficult to shoot.

That being said, the idea for the Mother's commercial was horrible, had no substance, and I'd be shocked if they took more than 5 minutes coming up with it. I'm so sick of local commercials being horrible, ideas don't cost money if you do them right.

No commercials, and I mean NO commercials, were as bad as the ones Joe Jacoby did for Theatrevision. First off, Joe was as stiff as a board and talked in montone. The first ad started "Hi! I'm Joe Jacoby of the World Champion Washington Redskins." The next year, the ad was exactly the same, because it was the same exact ad.

Except this time it sounded like this: "Hi! I'm Joe Jacoby of the ...... ............ Washington Redskins." They cut the audio of "world champions" out, but you could still see his lips move as he said the words.

Now THOSE were bad!

this is funny cause i just came back from eating lunch with my 6 year old grand daughter from that little neighborhood, hometown bar/grille called MOTHERS,and personally i think its absolutely wonderful that a person of JOE FLACCOS stature would do a commercial for them, basically it says more for him and the bar than the quality of the commercial, they both seem to stand for the same things and that is community, seem as though FLACCO will most likely be a staple in our small community just as MOTHERS has been for years....also i just see many on here as pretty freakin fickle beings as though you shred FLACCO (well some of you)in this post and directly underneath this one is a post wanting to give JOE all the support we can....its all good guys...aint it great to turn on the news (channels 2,11,13 and 45) and see the RAVENS being the lead story almost all week,i would much rather see good natured fun things then hearing about our local politicians indictments or how bad the economy is,or the murder rate compared to last years.so if a little neighborhood bar gets the quarterback of an NFL TEAM going into the AFC CHAMPIONSHIP game that is hyped to be one for the ages i say god bless them both.......................................
