A QBs footwork is never going to be good when he constantly has pressure in his face. I don't see how he could be more accurate. He's completing almost 2/3 of his passes despite having no time to throw and wrs that can't get open or catch.

Yes it's kudos to Joe on his passing accuracy despite being under continual pressure from the rush, I agree.

Joe still is throwing a lot of his passes flat footed, another reason why some of his passes are skipping off the ground, once his knee continues to get stronger, he can once again really step into his throws.....

Will be very curious to see if Marty can work with our weak O-line to get more out of them when starters are down. To me, that is the critical issue right now. Doesn't matter if you have good receivers when the QB is being chased/hit/sacked/hurried.

Can't they move Joe around to make up for poor O line play?
Roll outs, play action, screens or even designed run plays for Joe?
Joe's got some wheels on him and maybe in having some movement to his play, it would help him see more of the field.
It seems when he is in the pocket, he gets fixated on routs opening up, only to be blindly sacked. At least if he's on the move he may be able to see where the defender is coming from.

cannot rely on a 37 y.o. receiver. start perriman and use aiken and moore. let the young birds fly. same on defense as well pierce correia and judon were getting pressure on the qb in the 1st 3 games and when doom returns nada, zilch pressure.

I believe that even if the Ravens had won on Sunday, Trestman might still be our OC but either way he was gone during Bye week.

If they would have beat the Skins and win vs Giants and Jets and go into bye week 6-1 you think they would have still fired him?

I just don't see them firing the OC if they were 5-0.

All I know is Harbaugh wasn't and couldn't really take much more of what he was seeing on the field.

I just want to point out something that has been totally lost in the Trestman debacle. Why did we get rid of Monroe? Because he couldn't suit up for half the games. How many games has the new left tackle missed? Half of his games. So we alienated the only good backup we had, he had just had surgery and was ready to play. If he was eliminated because of his stance on medical marijuana, that just dumb. If he failed a drug test, that something different, but he didn't. So here we are, starting Hurst again allowing him to show why he got beaten and allowed Flacco to get hurt last year. Then we put a rookie left tackle out there who did okay but certainly not a pro left tackle. Sometimes I think Harbaugh is afraid of success. Everytime we have the players and seem to be moving in that direction, he dismisses players we absolutely need and keeps people that couldn't start on most college teams. Sometimes I don't get his strategy and if Ozzie makes the final personnel decisions, he is ultimately responsible and does he want his legacy marred by a coach who has a questionable personnel background as a special teams coach.

I see people commenting talking about if the fake fg worked. It was still a bad call, it was 4th and long with the wind swirling really bad in the stadium, not a time for your kicker to be throwing the ball

I believe they got rid of Monroe because of his salary (in my opinion). According to my research, Eugene Monroe was gonna make 6.5M in salary. While we draft Stanley, IMO 6.5M in salary is too much for a backup and we could use that money for something else. Why pay Monroe 6.5M for a backup while Stanley is playing for cheaper? Now a good idea would be to release Monroe than see they can signed him back for cheaper due for him just being a backup if Monroe is willing to do that. But l do agree that we should've somehow keep Monroe and got rid of Hurst. Hurst is definitely gone next year and Zuttah as well. We could've used Monroe in those last two games.

OMG! Playoff positioning? Seriously? Does this look like a playoff team to anyone? The Ravens, if they were playoff caliber, would have won the last two games and the next two as well. After that, well, the big boys show up. Any "playoff" designs will take a serious hit then. The Ravens have too many weaknesses, especially on offense, to contend. Instead of drafting more wide receivers, they would have been better off getting Joe some protection. Until they wake up and realize what is important, the Ravens will be an also ran.

The last two losses against the Raiders and definitely Skins were total killers. If we losses both of the road games against the Giants and Jets our season is over and l don't believe we can overcome that. They they gonna have to win one or both of these games to have a chance at getting in the playoffs.

OK.... we need to win or several reasons.
1. To stop the bleeding.

2. 4-2 is much better then 3-3 as far as confidence and momentum goes.

3. We need to keep pace with Pittsburgh and the rest of the AFC for the matter and this is a very winnable game.

4. 4-2 gives us a little more cushion then 3-3. at 4-2 we now have to win possible 5 or the last 10 games or 6 of the last ten. (winning half your games or 1 better then half- should be very reasonable). but at 3-3 we need to win 6 or the last ten and possibly 7 of the last ten to get in winning 70% of your games in the NFL is a much tougher position then say 50%

5. A win here when we are down can re-affirm the type of character this team has. Winning through adversity in OCT forges the type of mentality necessary to overcome the type of adversity and pressure that NOV and DEC brings in the NFL. (and JAN and FEB)

Has Hardbaugh been asked or answered any questions about that fake field goal. Specifically the fact that he had Justin line up as if he was going to kick it with his left foot which really was a dead give away. There are not many left footed kickers in this league and I can guarantee that when a team is facing a left footed kicker everyone on the field goal unit knows it. Its not like it is a huge difference but there are minor changes players on the FG cover unit make when facing a left footed kicker. So it would be difficult to come to the conclusion that the way Tucker lined up would go unnoticed. Has Harbaugh explained why he thought this was a good idea? I mean I think the Trestman move was long overdue, but two questionable decisions by John over these last two weeks have really hurt this team. I am not saying that he should belfried but, he needs to be accountable. I know he said he didn't regret the play call, but I am interested in his decision making process in the design of that play. Thats all. Has he been asked about that or answered that question?

He said he'll likely never do it again.

So i'll point out something, apparently, lost on you. He retired.

He had offers to play. He turned them down and retired. Clearly the guy didnt want to play.

If you feel all is lost and we can't possibly rebound guess you'll have to root for another team. I for one will never give up on the Ravens and I do believe the Ravens will never give up on themselves. Go Ravens.

My feelings exactly. Monroe's heart just wasn't in it anymore.

The Ravens are going to the Super Bowl! 1st quarter of the season and we lost two by points I can count on one hand! Some teams look good or tough to beat now but wait till they see the Ravens and we will see where their hind parts go! Oh yeah "WE THE BEST"!

Power Rankings are meaningless. BTW we are talking about playoff positioning in Week 5, but we have a very tough schedule after the bye. Lets go Marty!

When Caldwell took over in 2012, they did move Joe around a little more and it worked pretty well. I'm curious to see if they do that now.

True, go figure. What was really surprising is how well we did considering that Caldwell had never made 1 offensive play call prior to him taking over.

I see a few people here expecting more deep pass calls from Marty. I think it will be more intermediate passes, 10-20 yards with the occasional deep pass. Joe doesn't have the time to go deep often with our current protection.

Run the ball until the safety comes up and then use play action to open the passing game up.

We really need to get Joe back under center more. Play action works so much better from there than the shotgun.
