Certainly need the help on the line; hopefully, he can contribute. Makes you second guess the Long non-signing, but he may have cost too much anyway.

Personally Yanda was a beast at RT, and filling in a RG is easier to do during the season....The bookends have to be solid with todays outside pass rushers....Love this move, and love we brought him back, he has solid experience.....JMO.....

I'll second that and with all the o-line injuries... Experienced depth was needed

I didn't realize there was a big difference between the left and right guard position. Can anyone elaborate?

Definitely will be interesting to see what the OL ends up looking like this weekend and beyond.  Right now there are a lot of questions with Stanley and Wagner and uncertain pecking order at G with Lewis, Urschel, Jensen, and Ducasse. Seems like C is the only position we know the definite starter-Zuttah.  The other positions have multiple options that may end up starting:

LT-Stanley, Lewis (Hopefully not Hurst)

LG-Lewis, Urschel, Jensen, Ducasse

RG-Yanda, Urschel, Jensen, Ducasse

RT-Wagner, Yanda, Lewis, maybe even Hurst

Yanda is a beast! He moves over for the injured Wagner and it was like he he had been playing there his whole career. He did not miss a beat. He is tough as nails.

OL, pass rush needs to improve specially the DEs spot, run the ball more, and we will be fine. our butter and bread is the run game,

That's too bad. I really liked how our corners played vs Wash with Wright out. Now we're probably going to have to go back to more Wright... sigh.

It's mainly a footwork issue especially when you pull. If you're used to pushing off with one foot it can be difficult to learn to push off with the other without crossing your feet (which makes you off balance and easier to push back). I've seen plenty of guys that just could never get this down. Try it. Stand up, flat footed and square. Turn 90 degrees to the right while taking a big step. Did you step with your left foot? Wrong technique (right foot 1st). Try it again, this time do it to the left side (left foot should step 1st). Kinda like driving a car - you know how to drive pretty well but now drive in England on the opposite side of the road (traffic circles are the worst). Outside of the opposite, there's really not too much difference. With a right handed QB, typically the LG pulls more so usually you want a more athletic player but that doesn't really affect switching between the two.

Appreciate the feedback, I figured the footwork was the main thing but didn't know what else and was curious when it was mentioned that Jensen was playing out of position at RG

Just one of those things that gets better over time. Usually what happens is that a savy defensive player knows which way the run is happening because the Guard is "pointing it out" with his footwork until it becomes 2nd nature and smooth. If a LG drops his right foot, it's a run play to the right. Same with a RG - his left foot means a play to the left.

Makes good sense to replace Sheldon Price, but the OC should think about replacing Jimi Smith at least till he get his head out of his butt. He and all of the rest of the secondary needs to go to Tackling school. They are the worst at tackling. Ever hear of tackling at the legs?????
